The Temperature of Poetry
The Temperature of Poetry
Poetry is one of the stranger parts of the literary world. A poem can be anything, from a three lined
poem known as a haiku to a giant epic poem like the The Odyssey. They can be rhyming or non
rhyming, long or short, sensible or nonsensical. Even lyrics in songs can be considered poetry, seeing
as how they are rhyming and flow so well. The parameters for a poem are wide, the requirements few;
but no matter what kind of poem you read, from Homer to Doctor Seuss to John Mayer, symbolism is
the driving force behind it all. Symbolism is the basis for almost every piece of poetry written so far,
barring some of the works of Doctor Seuss. One recurring piece of symbolism found throughout the
literary world is the use of temperature. The warmth of the sun or a comforting smile, the cold of night
or a dark hospital room, temperature plays a part in many poems and plays its part well. But the part it
plays can vary from writer to writer, poem to poem. The three major uses of temperatures though are
to show the warmth of memory versus the harsh cold of reality, the warmth of comfort, and how
warmth is used to show life and vitality while cold is used to signify harshness and cruelty.
The first two poems to discuss are I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud by William Wordsworth and
Disabled by Wilfred Owen. These two poems are very different in their subject, but their usage of
temperature in the form of memory gives them a common denominator. Both speak of

Analysis Of The Poem I Like Him
It s a pleasure to have you here. I m sure Rick will waste no time in showing you around. The man
smiled kindly at Michonne as he dismounted his horse. Will you be joining us for supper this evening?
Rick quirked an eyebrow, his eyes filled with mirth. Will you?
I don t know. You guys probably...
Nonsense. Hershel waved her off as he handed Rick the horses reins. We will all love to have you. I
insist you stay for supper. How else would you meet the rest of the Greene family? I will see you both
at six thirty.
She and Rick exchanged a look as Hershel ambled toward the house. I like him.
Me too, he sighed. The Greene s are great people. I m glad I met them.

Michonne pressed her lips together trying not to give him the indication that he was right on target.
She learned to ski at a ski resort in the Swiss Alps. Maybe.
Are you serious Tipsy? He shook his head. The Swiss Alps.
She threw her hands up defensively. My dad was the ambassador to Switzerland and I ve attended four
different boarding schools. A ski trip in the Swiss Alps was a given.
I can honestly say, I ve never had a friend like you. I feel like an uncultured hillbilly.
Oh stop. She cut her eyes to the entrance of the stables. So, are you going to show me around or not? I
d prefer to have my tour before the rain comes pouring down.
So demanding, he grumbled jokingly, taking her hand in his and leading her out of the stables. What
can I show you first? I m not sure what kind of impression I ll make considering you re a world class
traveling princess. You ve probably seen it all.
What s over there? She pointed to a small stone path near the side of the house.
Are you a mind reader Tipsy? His blue eyes twinkled with delight. That s actually one of my favorite

Casti Connubai On Christian Marriage
1. Christ dignified chaste wedlock before the coming of Christ by establishing it as a form of
companionship between two people who will come together to have children. He designed this union
to be the foundation of society. Christ further dignified wedlock by taking the Church as His bride.
2. In Casti Connubii on Christian Marriage, Pope Pius XI lists two things men must do to obtain the
fruits of the sacrament of matrimony. The first is to be enlightened and fully understand Christ s true
doctrine regarding matrimony itself. The second is to still remain pure in their thoughts and actions in
order to obtain true peace and happiness for themselves and for their families .
3. a. The Pope sees a need to speak about the sanctity of marriage at this time because he saw that the
people of his day were beginning to forget the importance of a holy marriage. It especially applies
today with the leniency of how human intimacy is treated. Knowing this, the Pope spoke of it to
remind people the importance of a Holy Christian marriage. b. We know the Pope is teaching
infallibly here because he is re explaining a teaching already in practice. He doesn t add anything to
the core of the teaching, which is to avoid temptation in the context of human intimacy, by shows
specifically the temptations presented at that time in which the faithful should avoid. We can further
confirm that the Pope speaks infallibly because all teachings of the Pope come from God, and there
cannot be a fallible teaching from God Himself.
5. a. The point of Arcanum Divinae , as explained by Pope Pius XI, was to concentrate of matrimony
as a divine institution and it s sacramental and perpetual stability. He used this Encyclical specifically
as a reference and foundation for his own Encyclical. The only difference being that Arcanum Divinae
speaks of the spiritual aspects of the sacrament while the Casti Connubii speaks of both the
sacramental and the earthly systems and their effect on the lives of men. b. Man cannot change the
laws that strengthen marriage because such laws were not created by man. It is a fundamental doctrine
that the institution of matrimony and its laws were written by God. Since God is infallible, and

15th Century England Parliament
Development of the English Parliament from the 12th through 15th Centuries
Quinton Hawkins
HIST 1613, WESTERN CIVIL TO 1500
November 16, 2015
The 12th through 15th centuries in England were times of constant internal strife and tyrannical
rulings of kings. The kings of England were known for creating new taxes to fund their military
conquests, unjustly taking people s property, and imprisoning innocent people. To prevent this the
barons of England would join together to try adivse the King; these groups of nobles would later form
the second body of the English government known as parliament. The parliament in its early stages
was ill prepared and caused more problems than it actually fixed. From over taxation and the starting

Dental Implants Replace Teeth In A Day
Dental implants are the most realistic looking and healthiest way to replace your missing teeth. They
are the most stable option available because they are firmly connected to your jaw. They also keep
your jaw healthy because they act as replacement roots for your teeth. Dental implants are a decision
that will last for a lifetime, especially as Dr. Das is highly trained to place traditional implants, All on
4 implants, Teeth in a Day, and immediate implants. He performs all of these procedures out of his
comfortable office in Webster, TX!
What are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are small rods of titanium resembling a screw. They are inserted into your jaw and
attached to replacement teeth to create a strong and beautiful smile. When implants are inserted, they
immediately begin to merge with the bone in your jaw and act as the roots of your teeth, which ensure
that you don t fall victim to bone and gum tissue loss.

Matt s Lack Of Interest In Deaf Culture
Purdue understood that he is a Deaf so that the interpreter was always existed in his classes. Did this
school really understand him well? This school only acknowledged the fact that he is a person who
cannot hear, in fact, he is just a hard of hearing and did not learn American Sign Language (ASL)
much in his life. In other words, the school did not understand the deaf culture fully that the Deaf
people not only sign but also can do other than ASL. As a result of having a lack of interest in Deaf
culture, despite that Matt is an intelligent student, he did not even reach the minimum GPA in order to
receive the scholarship, kicked out from the school and made him shameful and lose self esteem.

Analysis Of John Keats s The Civil War
Shelby Foote, a southern novelist turned historian, uses the prologue in The Civil War, a three book,
three thousand page epic on America s most seminal moment, to introduce the war s leading figures,
Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis. Foote uses the words of poet John Keats, A fact is not a truth
until you love it. to describe his view on history. Using this axiom, Foote attempts to change the reader
s mind on their understanding of Lincoln and Davis. Not only does he want to prove to us that using
primary sources in his analysis of Lincoln and Davis will give us a better understanding of the two,
but he wants us to appreciate his techniques as well. He juxtaposes the two presidents, providing an
authentic glimpse into their character ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
18 19). Lincoln grew up dirt poor in the bare Kentucky frontier, his mother dying when he was nine
years old, and his father having a paltry, insignificant relationship with the young Abraham. Lincoln
quoted Thomas Gray s poem, Elegy, when describing the conditions of his youth, The short and
simple annals of the poor. (pg. 20). As soon as he could, he sought independence from his father and
began life on his own. He eventually settled in New Salem, Illinois where he joined the Debating
Society. As Foote puts it, though at first the charter members snickered at his looks and awkwardness,
presently they were admiring the logic and conciseness of his arguments (pg. 22). One member of the
society claimed all he lacked was culture (pg. 22). Lincoln was respected for his intelligence, but
derided for his social skills and poor background. Certainly this part of Lincoln s life is of the least
importance, but it serves a purpose for Foote, who aims to portray Lincoln in a more vulnerable part
of his life, when he wasn t revered like he would later be, but viewed with pity as a backwoods hick.
This serves as a shock to the reader, disarming us of any romantic notions we have of Lincoln s early
life. Lincoln unquestionably developed into one of the most remarkable men to ever live, but, as Foote
shows us, it took him awhile to reach that status. Alongside politics, Lincoln made a name for himself

The Movie The Brothers Grimm
Tangled does a really good job making sure they don t make Repunzel look weak and giving her a lot
of power, but they totally forget about the male of the story Flynn Ryder. The Brothers Grimm on the
other hand manage to have no masculine stereotypes for the prince but they make Repunzel look like a
helpless lamb.
In the original Brothers Grimm fairytale Repunzel just agrees to marry a total stranger and has no
second thoughts about such a plan. In Tangled she ties him up and hits him over the head with a frying
pan. When he tries to smoochz her she hits him again. These opposite reactions have to do with the
time period. If disney had come out with something with as bad of a message as the original Brothers
Grimm everyone would have been really upset at the poor influence it had on young woman. It would
have betrayed the out of date gender role that women are just waiting around to be acknowledged by
the male. Tangled also couldn t have gotten away with making Repunzel as, let s say naive, as in the
original. I mean seriously this girl is not smart. Since this is a bit of a bold claim here are some
damning examples, when you come, bring each time a silken rope and i will make a ladder, and when
it is quite ready I will get down by it and out of the tower you know what else works Repunzel? one
long rope, cutting off your hair and tying it to the windowsill, even a clothes rope. Probably the
biggest and most obvious statement leading to these allegations of

The Omnivore s Dilemma By Michael Pollan
Food dominates the lives of people. It is used as comfort and fuel. But the controversy is, what should
people consume? Burkhard Bilger s piece, Nature s Spoils, explores the abnormal way of eating,
which is the fermentation of food. It is usually a safe practice, and also produces vitamins in the
making. The Omnivore s Dilemma by Michael Pollan expresses the problem of how humans select
food. In How Do We Choose What to Eat? by Susan Bowerman she points out the influences on
people s life that affects their eating habits. By using Bowerman s article as the keystone, Nature s
Spoils and The Omnivore s Dilemma can be compared and contrasted. Since the food that people
consume daily can affect them in the future, it must be chosen carefully.
In Nature s Spoils by Burkhard Bilger, he follows Katz Sanders, who is a lover of sauerkraut and
fermented food. The biography that Bilger includes of Sanders from goes back to when Sanders he
was a political activist in 1972 before becoming a fermentation fetisht to where he was tested H.I.V.
positive around 1991. One of the places they spent most was in Hickory Knoll, where Sanders spent a
majority of his time experimenting with fermented foods. Along one of the stops during their road trip,
they met a man named, Garth. Garth tells them of his story of eating raw milk and other food that hasn
t been processed, and how it had only made him feel stronger, which brings up the controversy of
what is risky or beneficial to eat. As

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Real Time System
Advantages of Real Time Systems: When it comes to the benefits and drawbacks stage, there are
several advantages of real time systems. First of all, while using all the sources and maintaining all
devices active, real time systems helps to give maximum consumption of the systems and enable us

First of all, in these systems, there tasks are restricted and limited tasks are run simultaneously.
Concentration of real time systems are on several applications in order to avoid mistakes and rest of
the tasks have to wait. In addition to this drawback, sometimes it is unpredictable and there is not any
time restriction in order to show how much the waiting tasks should wait (Liu, Jane W.S., 2000).
Second disadvantage is that, a lot of resources are used by real time systems which are not adequate
and very expensive. In addition, real time systems are overpriced due to the resources that they need in
order to work. Thirdly, the real time systems run several tasks and keep focus on them. This is not a
good solution for these systems which use plenty of multi threading due to weak thread priority
(Martin, James, 1965). Fourth problem is that, real time systems use different and complex algorithms
in order to reach to the target level and desired output. The problem is that this kind of complex
algorithms are difficult for designers in order write. So, the designers have to write adequate program
for this kind of systems which is not easy. In addition, real time systems have to make clear its
interrupt signals and device drivers in order to respond quickly to interrupts. As the fifth problem, it is
observed that, there are low priority tasks which do not get enough time in order to run. The problem
is that, the real

Walt Disney Films are known to be as an incredible and outstanding fantasy stories producer. It

The films that were released used animation to capture children s interest and musically performed as

Beauty and the Beast 1991; Cinderella 1950 and more. The tales most often than not were always

concept of the stories stroked the minds and hearts of young female children which usually convey a

result, young female children when exposed to Walt Disney films tend to identify themselves with
those fictional characters. They might as well perceive the stories will happen in life situations.
Children perceive fictional characters as a model. They tend to imitate the parts that a fictional

Perhaps, the reasons these films are so popular and influential to children is simply because their focus
is directed distinctively towards them. Each character in Disney films possesses a distinct personality

Peace and Granduer in The Romantic Temper
Seeing past the flawed, faith in possibilities and insistence on equal opportunities for all defined the
Romantic s outlook and attitude. With sights firmly set on the wonders of another dimension, The
Romantic Temper is filled with thoughts of peace and grandeur. The ability to imagine and fantasize is
what allowed for the Romantic man to flourish, even the most turbulent times. In the mid century the
Romantic artists in America experienced their nation s capital burned to the ground, the panic and
depression, but instead of giving way to the pressure, they created some of the greatest literary pieces
ever produced in the America s history. Their passionate conceptions boldly challenged, enlightened
and inspired Americans and Europeans alike. Romantics broke down barriers and created new social
norms increasing national pride and getting people to stand up for what was right. Look beyond what
is understood as perfect. The Romantic saw beauty in the unique, what stood out or caught the eye.
Taking Poe s quote from Bacon , there is no excellent beauty, , without some strangeness in the
proportion, they saw beauty and then pondered on why it was so, the findings showed that the
exquisite in its differences, draws more attention towards it. In Poe s Ligeia, Ligeia is just like any
other attractive looking woman, except for her distinctive eyes , [her] shining, [her] divine orbs !

Slavery Frederick Douglass Analysis
The Wonderful Life
In Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave, Frederick Douglass mentions that
slaves do not have the privilege to have an education. In Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle explains that
without happiness, doing something good will not really matter because you will not be happy. In
Slavery, Jean Jacques Rousseau mentions that war is not the key to end slavery because war is only for
states not against man to man. In Thinking in Education, John Dewey says that thinking is another
method in learning because it will help students reflect on things. Life can be wonderful if people

Dewey says that people have dwelt especially on the negative side because we let our minds think that
there is a specific way of thinking (6). As people keep growing, their knowledge keeps developing.
While people keep learning, they have to learn to accept somethings. One of those things is by simply
being able to accept that if a paper is wrong is wrong but at least they tried. Looking at a paper or
project that is wrong sometimes frightens people but it should not be that way because those who have
bad papers become the best ones. Even though, people are wrong that should not stop with their
education because of that. Meanwhile, Douglass was doing his chores, he was able to take bread from
home and share with the little white boys who, in return, would give [him] more valuable bread of
knowledge which was able to help him with his reading and writing (2). Being wrong does not mean
that this is the end, instead is a way to motivate yourself to do the best as you can to achieve
something better. People should not be letdown when they do something wrong because no one is
perfect. People just find ways to learn even if I some cases they do thigs wrong. The whole point of
this is to be able to learn and be wrong. People should not be disappointed if they do a paper and they

A Great Author By Norman Vincent Peale
A great author, Norman Vincent Peale, (n.d) had once said, I believe there are two sides to the
phenomenon known as death, this side where we live, and the other side where we shall continue to
live. Eternity does not start with death. We are in eternity now . That was the only thought buzzing my
mind when I got out of my client, Jenny s house. Jenny recently lost her husband but in his funeral she
looked calm, happy and acted like she was not grieving at all. Her families were concerned and had
asked me to take care of her as they thought she has some psychological issue or was just at great
denial. Since, Jenny and I knew each other for long, we established good therapeutic relationship
instantly. According to her mother, she always talked to herself, laughs loudly at the middle of the
night and at times refers to her husband, as he is still alive. I felt that she is in grieving process and
needs some time to recover. However, when I asked her how she was feeling about her loss, she
looked at me like she did not understand what I was talking about. Later, she said that her husband is
still there with her and he is not lost. She can feel him and talk to him. Furthermore, she express that
she realizes her behavior might seem weird to others but for her that is real and it was happening to
her. She shares with me stories about her connectedness with her husband in a spiritual way. It is just

Physical And Emotional Abuse Explored The Color Purple
Both physical and emotional abuse explored The Colour Purple and The Help helps to create
awareness of the central issues. Both are novels that carry a lot of similarities, where the female
characters are portrayed as invisible , servants and child carers . However, after reading carefully into
the biographical work of both authors the critical difference I observed was that The Colour Purple is
written by an African American woman who may have truly experienced the harshness of what she
was writing about; on the other hand The Help by a white woman who had servants at an early age of
her life, who would help her has enabled me to consider not only if the novel lacks authenticity but if
Kathryn s reason to writing the novel was to catch the readers mind about such harsh conditions of to
actually affect the audience with the physical and emotional abuse. Walker was born in 1944, Georgia,
USA, a life rooted in the hardship of the racial terror and the wisdom of the African American life and
culture of that time. On the other hand, Kathryn Stockett was born 1969, Jackson, Mississippi, USA,
after the uproar of the civil rights movement; she is an English/Creative Writing graduate of the
University of Alabama.
Through further reading of Kathryn Stocketts upbringing in multiple articles, growing up in
Mississippi, Stockett had a much pampered lifestyle; she had a maid working in her house, cooking,

Ebony Case Summary
The legal system has been proved ineffective in achieving justice in Ebony s case, where the
perpetrators of her death have been sentenced to inadequate time and in turn has undermined the
severity of the case. Government agencies have consistently failed to address pressing issues
pertaining to the family when help was clearly needed and have been incompetent in providing
assistance in countless instances, it is believed that Ebony s death could have been preventable if they
had intervened. Despite the ineffectiveness of the legal system in this case, her death served as a
catalyst for the NSW government initiating a Special Commission of Inquiry into Child Protection
Services and for legal reforms to the child protection system. This was ... Show more content on

The recommendations of the inquiry were directly aimed at the failings identified in Mr Barbour s
report. In March 2009, the NSW Government responded to the inquiry by releasing a plan of reform
for child protection. Keep them Safe, a five year plan designed by the government, contemplates
fundamental changes to the way in which child protection services are delivered in NSW. The
cornerstone of the changes is to make child protection a shared responsibility . All relevant
government agencies will have prescribed responsibilities for ensuring the wellbeing of children. In
line with this the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 had been amended to
permit the exchange of information relating to the safety and welfare of a child. The expanded role of
a range of government agencies have the potential of making these agencies more responsive to the
needs of children at the local level, and of ensuring that more families receive timely and appropriate
support. In total, the inquiry has made 111 recommendations, ultimately forming the basis of a major
overhaul of the child protection system and has lead to a vastly changed child protection system in
NSW. Through the recognition of failures within Ebony s case, the legal system and government has
effectively amended, improved and introduced legislature and plans to ensure the protection and well
being of

Similarities Between Germany And Tanzania
In this paper, the trade structure between Germany and Tanzania, and its impacts to the development
of Tanzania has been analysed. The study identifies that Tanzania s major export commodities to
Germany include primary goods and few intermediate and manufactured goods, while it imports
significant volumes of finished manufactured goods from Germany. By this structure of trade,
Tanzania is perhaps locked to concentrate on production of natural and primary goods; this has a
better outcome in the short term, but leads to several problems in the long term which can future
hinder its speed of development. In this case, Tanzania needs to establish strategies that can assist in
improving production of manufactured goods so as to boost its benefits ... Show more content on

The use of a qualitative method and a telephone interview analysis were important tools in obtaining
the data needed to answer the research question. Some opportunities identified include increased
employment; export expansion, cultural interchange etc. Risks mentioned included corruption,
bureaucracy and variation in commodity price among others. Tanzania needs to make effective use of
the opportunities since it has a high economic growth potential that could see its position advancing
from a less developed country to an intermediate or even a highly developed country. Corruption,
among other risks, is presented to be a major problem in Tanzania. The author agrees that combating
corruption is not an easy action which can be done by the government alone, rather through support
from all citizens. Nevertheless, the current government has already started taking measures to combat
corruption in the country. This was evident when the Tanzanian president started by removing top
director generals and other government officials that were either embezzling national funds or
practicing corrupting procedures. It s the researcher s hope that if this development continues, the new
phase of Tanzania is likely to come which will result in increasing trade performance and strengthened
trade ties between Germany and

HOME AREA NETWORK
A Home Area Network is an interconnection in which some networking devices are connected with
each other for sharing resources between them with the help of internet. The main advantage of Home
Area Network is that you can share different type of content i.e. videos, audios etc. among different
users. A computer with large storage memory can be used as server which can be easily accessed by
the clients and users can easily access the data whenever they wanted to access. As in Home Area
Network everything i.e. Resources, Data, Information etc. is shared so each user can use devices like
Printers, Scanners which will be very cheap. Also another main advantage of Home Area Network is
that there is no need to buy several different Public IP Address s for different devices, administrator of
network can only have single Public IP Address and assign this public IP address to a modem or a
router, while a modem or a router in turn assigns a private IP address to each device to access the
internet.
Many people are turning to their home computers for both work and entertainment. Some companies

Ethics In Night
What is theological ethics? That is the question we have been trying to answer throughout this
semester. We have read Night by Elie Wiesel who was a teenager when he was taken to concentration
camps. How can his story of survival, help us keep our faith and live a moral life? We also read The
Moral Disciple by Kent A. Van Til. He shows us that being a moral disciple is a way to become a good
person. How can living morally, help us live ethically? The next book we read is Fear of the Other by
William H. Willimon. Willimon shows us examples of immoral acts in today s society. Can we change
to act differently even though some social norms are immoral? The final book we read is titled The
Good Life by Richard Gula. He gives us what a good life should be and how we can live it. As well as
these readings, we read Genesis, Exodus and Matthew. These three books in the Bible give us the
basis of Christian Ethics. All of these readings come together to one conclusion. In this paper, I will
talk about how all of these readings connect to prove that we are all creatures. Night is a story about
Elie Wiesel who was a teenager when he and his family were taken from their home to concentration
camps. This novel gives us a chilling depiction of the terrifying scenes he saw including the death of
his family and almost the death of his faith in God. In the beginning he believed in God
unconditionally and could not imagen life without him. He believed that God is

Cryptosporidium Hominis Essay
Background Information on Cryptosporidium hominis
1. Classification
Cryptosporidium hominis is classified as a eukaryotic single celled protozoa. It is part of the
Apicomplexa phylum. Organisms in the phylum Apicomplexa carry out their entire life cycles in the
gastrointestinal tract of host organisms.
2. Associated Disease
C. hominis is associated with acute gastroenteritis and diarrhea in humans. Many species from the
same genus also cause these diseases and those infected are said to have cryptosporidiosis.
3. Relationships with Other Organisms
C. hominis maintains a parasitic relationship with humans. It uses humans as a host for infection, as

According to the CDC, there are several ways to prevent the spread of C. hominis. Practicing good
hygiene is of utmost importance. Washing hands with soap and warm water frequently is one of the
best ways to prevent infection. Infected children should be kept home from daycare and school to
prevent infection from spreading to their peers. Persons using pools and other public water sources
should shower before entering the water and ensure children are clean before entering the water.
Minimizing contact with animal feces by wearing protective gloves during clean up and disposal and
washing hands after contact.
Avoiding potentially contaminated water sources is also important. C. hominis has a tough outer
coating that allows it to be chlorine resistant. Avoid swallowing pool water or water from lakes, ponds,
and oceans. Refrain from drinking untreated water, inadequately treated water, or water in countries
where water purity is dubious. Drink bottled water or boil potentially contaminated water to disinfect

When taken together, they comprise the 7th largest area in the world. At 1,3 million square miles, that
is about the same size as India. But unlike similarly large nations, the Nordic countries have some of
the lowest population density in the world, with only 26 million total residents. This is mostly because
half of their land is uninhabited arctic, if you include Greenland. But even without Greenland, the rest
of the remaining countries are still larger than Germany, France, and Italy combined. Economically
they are quite well off. When compared with the European Union, the Nordic countries have had
much stronger GDP growth over the past ten years. Only Finland has changed its currency over to the

Notes On Motivation Theory And Motivation
Chapter 2: Literature review
2.1. Motivation theory
Types of motivation
According to Pritchard and Ashwood (2008: 6), motivation is the process used to allocate energy to
maximize the satisfaction of needs. It requires that one have a reason to do something. Well know
researchers in this area Ryan and Deci (2010) believe that a person, who feels no drive or inspiration
to act, can therefore be characterized as unmotivated, while someone who is energized toward a goal
can be defined as motivated. People may also experience differing levels and types of motivation
based on their individual backgrounds, which means that they vary not only in their amount of
motivation, but also in the trend of that motivation (Ryan and Deci, 2000). Different things motivate
people who come from different social, cultural, economic and/or financial backgrounds, or who have
received different education. An employee s motives, socio economic background and value system
will have an effect on how they work, as well as influence the outcome of their performance (Wyk and
Erasmus, 2003: 315).
Many researchers have worked in the field of motivation over the years, and developed different
theories. Maslow s Hierarchy of needs theory proposes that an individual s most basic needs must be
met before they will develop higher level desires (Goble, 1970). Maslow created the term
metamotivation to explain the motivations of those people, which go beyond the extent of their basic
needs and instead

Police Brutality And The Law Enforcement
Police Brutality The duties of law enforcement involve looking after the American people. As the Los
Angeles Police Department puts it, it is the police s duty to Protect and Serve the community. As
Americans, we should expect to be able to rely on local police to solve our problems and bring peace
and stability to society. Yet, as current events have shown, these promises are not always fulfilled.
Since the late 1960s, America has begun to grow from a racially segregated nation, into one of unity
and equality. Today there is no doubt that immense progress has been made, however events involving
our law enforcement and minorities has seemed to halt such progress. Police brutality continues to be
a major issue nationwide with the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Recently, the public has begun to once again rise up against such heinous crimes that seem to hail
from an era before civil rights.
Police brutality notoriously rose during the 1990s. The most guilty of this was the Los Angeles Police
Department. After the introduction of crack cocaine plagued the streets of American cities, Los
Angeles took the initiative of upgrading its CRASH Unit (Community Resources Against Street
Hoodlums). By April 1988, nearly 1,567 minorities were arrested on just one weekend, yet about 10%
of these arrests actually led to felony convictions. By 1998, the CRASH unit was embroiled once
again in a scandal known as the Rampart Scandal. More than seventy officers assigned to the Rampart
Division were accused of strong police misconduct. These officers were accused of targeting
minorities and planting evidence on these victims, framing them to higher their positions in the LAPD.
(Source #3) In the middle of all this, one case would implant the image of police brutality to all
Americans for years to come. On March 4, 1991, an African American man named Rodney King had
been drinking earlier in the night and was on his way home, speeding on the highway which brought
attention to an officer stationed there and proceed to pursue King. After attempting to outrun police,
King was eventually cornered by police. What would be expected to be a quick arrest after being
pulled over quickly turned brutal. As King exited

Structural Functionalist Theory Vs Conflict Theory
There are many, different sociological theories on how society works in America. Two of the major
theories are known as Structural Functionalism Theory and the Conflict Theory. The structural
functionalism theory states that society is a system filled with different subsections that provide
specific functions in keeping society in order. While the conflict theory implies that society is in a
state of conflict because of the competition for limited resources. Functionalists conclude that the
interconnected systems help maintain social equilibrium in society. Conflict theorists, however, view
society as a competition, and social conflicts are due to limited resources, inequality, and power. Both
theories provide different perspectives on how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Society is the human body and all the different subsections are the organs that keep the body running
smoothly. These subsections are believed to be necessary to keep society functioning properly.
Religion, education, family, the political system, and economy are just some of the larger parts of this
system that is working to keep society in order. It is believed that in times of social revolution the
social equilibrium is lost or becomes unbalanced. The theory of structural functionalism seems to
focus on more of the social order and stability in society, while Conflict theory focuses more on social
change and conflict itself. Conflict theorist use inequality of social class to explain phenomena like
wars, poverty, discrimination, and domestic violence. They say that people of power and wealth are
the ones that have attributed to the development of inequality over time. For example, a person of
power may suddenly realize their extent of power and do whatever it takes to maintain that power no
matter who or what group it affects in the long run, giving conflict theorist all the reason to believe
that social class is what can cause conflict. Now, even though both theories have different perspectives
on society, they do present some similarities between the

Surrealism And Surrealism
In 1925, the original surrealists forged a clear and resounding document, stating, among other things,
that the surrealist movement is a revolution, unarguably. They asserted that their movement was not
one of poetic form. Furthermore, that it was not even a literary movement. They firmly established, in
the infancy of Surrealism, that it was not an aesthetic endeavour. It was a revolution of the mind.
Surrealist actions and thoughts function in the absence of any aesthetic or moral concern. This idea
was thoroughly tested with the many events to come. It was tested when Salvador Dali went so far
with a lack of moral concern as to support Hitler himself, earning himself an excommunication, after a
characteristically dramatic trial. It was tested when Andre Breton, honorary founder of Surrealism,
stated that The purest surrealist act is walking into a crowd with a loaded gun and firing into it
randomly. This has since, regrettably, been forgotten. We have forgotten, somehow, the broken bones,
the muddied faces, the chaos, and the legitimate taboos in which Surrealism languished. We have
forgotten how, historically, we have stared in the face that which no one else dared to glance at. We
have cast aside that which hurts us, for we do not care to include it in our reality. We have also become
much more tolerant, since Breton s death in 1966, of that which is not actually surrealist. At the risk of
sounding anti progress, I say that the movement has become less pure

Terry was a man who worked for everything he had and everything he earned one of the most
important thing he has was the respect of his peers who saw him as an inventive improviser with a
graceful and ebullient style, traces of which can be heard in the playing of Miles Davis, Wynton
Marsalis and others (KEEPNEWS). Anyone listening to him now would know him as the man who
had a very unique way of warming up for practice. The vocal numbers where peppered his
performances with a unique brand of scat singing the noises as well as nonsense syllables took the
place of words. It was an off the cuff recording of one such song, released in 1964 under the name

Jazz artists than that of the general public. I also believe it wasn t as big of a deal because many do not
give Jazz the respect it deserves due to the era of smooth/soft Jazz taking over. Clark Terry as I have
said earlier created a legacy for himself that any musician would be happy to have as a teacher

This firm specializes in strategies for improving the health and well being of mentally ill adults and
children with a primary focus on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Among the patient
population seen at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts are pediatric patients in the
Pediatric Associates office practice while across the campus are adult patients being seen in the
Auburn Family Medicine Center (FMC). In both groups, providers have observed some patient
disruption in the practice waiting areas. It appears that some parents are unable to manage the child s
behavior while in the waiting area, and some adult patients in the FMC have continued to be overly
disruptive. Despite interventions by the office staff in both clinics, the problem continues and patient
satisfaction starts to erode. These physician groups have solicited my assistance to determine the
problem and provide recommendations to improve the efficiency of practice operations.

Don T Tell Policy
When President Bill Clinton signed the memorandum to the Secretary of Defense in 1993 to stop
homosexual prejudices regarding who can serve in the U.S. military, he did not initiate the creation of
a policy denying them that right. The policies enacted were to enforce the free rights of everyone. Just
because people have read policies the way they want to interpret them shows that the policies,
themselves, need to be amended, not repealed. Nor can the meaning behind the creation of said
policies be let go. The repeal was ineffective due to the neutral effect it has had on military life, whilst
bringing to light more issues that need to be resolved before achieving the desired result. On January

The Use of Whey for Health Purposes
The use of whey for health purposes dates back almost 8000 years. According to Whey History by
Designer Whey, in 1650 A liquid form of whey is invented and consumed as a health tonic in Italy,
England, and other nearby countries. It was consumes in spas by the aristocrats of this time period.
Since it was very perishable and had to be consumed within 10 hours of production, people would
deliver it immediately to these spas for immediate consumption. Then in 1930 Researchers at Rutgers
University discovered that whey protein can be an effective treatment for tuberculosis and rickets.
1993 is when the first designer whey products entered the market which immediately became
extremely popular among bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts. Now, whey protein products have
become one of the most popular supplements in the health and fitness industry.
The three main forms of whey protein are concentrates, isolates, and hydrolysates. Whey protein
concentrates is the cheapest and most common form of whey protein. According to Foegeding, Davis,
Doucet, McGuffey (2002), whey protein concentrate contains high levels of protein but has more
lactose and carbohydrates than the other two forms of whey protein. Whey protein Isolates are much
higher in protein percentage and also lower in carbohydrates and lactose. Since isolates are overall
healthier and have a better taste than the concentrates, you will find that the cost is significantly more
than concentrates according to Lee (1992).

  • 2. The Temperature of Poetry The Temperature of Poetry Poetry is one of the stranger parts of the literary world. A poem can be anything, from a three lined poem known as a haiku to a giant epic poem like the The Odyssey. They can be rhyming or non rhyming, long or short, sensible or nonsensical. Even lyrics in songs can be considered poetry, seeing as how they are rhyming and flow so well. The parameters for a poem are wide, the requirements few; but no matter what kind of poem you read, from Homer to Doctor Seuss to John Mayer, symbolism is the driving force behind it all. Symbolism is the basis for almost every piece of poetry written so far, barring some of the works of Doctor Seuss. One recurring piece of symbolism found throughout the literary world is the use of temperature. The warmth of the sun or a comforting smile, the cold of night or a dark hospital room, temperature plays a part in many poems and plays its part well. But the part it plays can vary from writer to writer, poem to poem. The three major uses of temperatures though are to show the warmth of memory versus the harsh cold of reality, the warmth of comfort, and how warmth is used to show life and vitality while cold is used to signify harshness and cruelty. The first two poems to discuss are I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud by William Wordsworth and Disabled by Wilfred Owen. These two poems are very different in their subject, but their usage of temperature in the form of memory gives them a common denominator. Both speak of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Analysis Of The Poem I Like Him It s a pleasure to have you here. I m sure Rick will waste no time in showing you around. The man smiled kindly at Michonne as he dismounted his horse. Will you be joining us for supper this evening? Rick quirked an eyebrow, his eyes filled with mirth. Will you? I don t know. You guys probably... Nonsense. Hershel waved her off as he handed Rick the horses reins. We will all love to have you. I insist you stay for supper. How else would you meet the rest of the Greene family? I will see you both at six thirty. She and Rick exchanged a look as Hershel ambled toward the house. I like him. Me too, he sighed. The Greene s are great people. I m glad I met them. Oh Rick? She learned to ski at a ski resort in the Swiss Alps. Maybe. Are you serious Tipsy? He shook his head. The Swiss Alps. She threw her hands up defensively. My dad was the ambassador to Switzerland and I ve attended four different boarding schools. A ski trip in the Swiss Alps was a given. I can honestly say, I ve never had a friend like you. I feel like an uncultured hillbilly. Oh stop. She cut her eyes to the entrance of the stables. So, are you going to show me around or not? I m not sure what kind of impression I ll make considering you re a world class traveling princess. You ve probably seen it all. What s over there? • 4. Casti Connubai On Christian Marriage 1. Christ dignified chaste wedlock before the coming of Christ by establishing it as a form of companionship between two people who will come together to have children. He designed this union to be the foundation of society. Christ further dignified wedlock by taking the Church as His bride. 2. In Casti Connubii on Christian Marriage, Pope Pius XI lists two things men must do to obtain the fruits of the sacrament of matrimony. The first is to be enlightened and fully understand Christ s true doctrine regarding matrimony itself. The second is to still remain pure in their thoughts and actions in order to obtain true peace and happiness for themselves and for their families . 3. a. The Pope sees a need to speak about the sanctity of marriage at this time because he saw that the people of his day were beginning to forget the importance of a holy marriage. It especially applies today with the leniency of how human intimacy is treated. Knowing this, the Pope spoke of it to remind people the importance of a Holy Christian marriage. b. We know the Pope is teaching infallibly here because he is re explaining a teaching already in practice. He doesn t add anything to the core of the teaching, which is to avoid temptation in the context of human intimacy, by shows specifically the temptations presented at that time in which the faithful should avoid. We can further confirm that the Pope speaks infallibly because all teachings of the Pope come from God, and there cannot be a fallible teaching from God Himself. 5. a. The point of Arcanum Divinae , as explained by Pope Pius XI, was to concentrate of matrimony as a divine institution and it s sacramental and perpetual stability. He used this Encyclical specifically as a reference and foundation for his own Encyclical. The only difference being that Arcanum Divinae speaks of the spiritual aspects of the sacrament while the Casti Connubii speaks of both the sacramental and the earthly systems and their effect on the lives of men. b. Man cannot change the laws that strengthen marriage because such laws were not created by man. It is a fundamental doctrine that the institution of matrimony and its laws were written by God. Since God is infallible, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Analysis Of John Keats s The Civil War Shelby Foote, a southern novelist turned historian, uses the prologue in The Civil War, a three book, three thousand page epic on America s most seminal moment, to introduce the war s leading figures, Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis. Foote uses the words of poet John Keats, A fact is not a truth until you love it. to describe his view on history. Using this axiom, Foote attempts to change the reader s mind on their understanding of Lincoln and Davis. Not only does he want to prove to us that using primary sources in his analysis of Lincoln and Davis will give us a better understanding of the two, but he wants us to appreciate his techniques as well. Lincoln grew up dirt poor in the bare Kentucky frontier, his mother dying when he was nine years old, and his father having a paltry, insignificant relationship with the young Abraham. Lincoln quoted Thomas Gray s poem, Elegy, when describing the conditions of his youth, The short and simple annals of the poor. (pg. 20). As soon as he could, he sought independence from his father and began life on his own. He eventually settled in New Salem, Illinois where he joined the Debating Society. As Foote puts it, though at first the charter members snickered at his looks and awkwardness, presently they were admiring the logic and conciseness of his arguments (pg. 22). One member of the society claimed all he lacked was culture (pg. 22). Lincoln was respected for his intelligence, but derided for his social skills and poor background. Certainly this part of Lincoln s life is of the least importance, but it serves a purpose for Foote, who aims to portray Lincoln in a more vulnerable part of his life, when he wasn t revered like he would later be, but viewed with pity as a backwoods hick. This serves as a shock to the reader, disarming us of any romantic notions we have of Lincoln s early life. Lincoln unquestionably developed into one of the most remarkable men to ever live, but, as Foote shows us, it took him awhile to reach that status. Alongside politics, Lincoln made a name for himself as a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. The Movie The Brothers Grimm Tangled does a really good job making sure they don t make Repunzel look weak and giving her a lot of power, but they totally forget about the male of the story Flynn Ryder. The Brothers Grimm on the other hand manage to have no masculine stereotypes for the prince but they make Repunzel look like a helpless lamb. In the original Brothers Grimm fairytale Repunzel just agrees to marry a total stranger and has no second thoughts about such a plan. In Tangled she ties him up and hits him over the head with a frying pan. When he tries to smoochz her she hits him again. These opposite reactions have to do with the time period. If disney had come out with something with as bad of a message as the original Brothers Grimm everyone would have been really upset at the poor influence it had on young woman. It would have betrayed the out of date gender role that women are just waiting around to be acknowledged by the male. Tangled also couldn t have gotten away with making Repunzel as, let s say naive, as in the original. I mean seriously this girl is not smart. Burkhard Bilger s piece, Nature s Spoils, explores the abnormal way of eating, which is the fermentation of food. It is usually a safe practice, and also produces vitamins in the making. The Omnivore s Dilemma by Michael Pollan expresses the problem of how humans select food. In How Do We Choose What to Eat? by Susan Bowerman she points out the influences on people s life that affects their eating habits. By using Bowerman s article as the keystone, Nature s Spoils and The Omnivore s Dilemma can be compared and contrasted. Since the food that people consume daily can affect them in the future, it must be chosen carefully. In Nature s Spoils by Burkhard Bilger, he follows Katz Sanders, who is a lover of sauerkraut and fermented food. The biography that Bilger includes of Sanders from goes back to when Sanders he was a political activist in 1972 before becoming a fermentation fetisht to where he was tested H.I.V. positive around 1991. One of the places they spent most was in Hickory Knoll, where Sanders spent a majority of his time experimenting with fermented foods. Along one of the stops during their road trip, they met a man named, Garth. In addition, real time systems are overpriced due to the resources that they need in order to work. Thirdly, the real time systems run several tasks and keep focus on them. This is not a good solution for these systems which use plenty of multi threading due to weak thread priority (Martin, James, 1965). Fourth problem is that, real time systems use different and complex algorithms in order to reach to the target level and desired output. The problem is that this kind of complex algorithms are difficult for designers in order write. So, the designers have to write adequate program for this kind of systems which is not easy. With sights firmly set on the wonders of another dimension, The Romantic Temper is filled with thoughts of peace and grandeur. The ability to imagine and fantasize is what allowed for the Romantic man to flourish, even the most turbulent times. In the mid century the Romantic artists in America experienced their nation s capital burned to the ground, the panic and depression, but instead of giving way to the pressure, they created some of the greatest literary pieces ever produced in the America s history. Their passionate conceptions boldly challenged, enlightened and inspired Americans and Europeans alike. Romantics broke down barriers and created new social norms increasing national pride and getting people to stand up for what was right. Look beyond what is understood as perfect. The Romantic saw beauty in the unique, what stood out or caught the eye. Taking Poe s quote from Bacon , there is no excellent beauty, , without some strangeness in the proportion, they saw beauty and then pondered on why it was so, the findings showed that the exquisite in its differences, draws more attention towards it. One of those things is by simply being able to accept that if a paper is wrong is wrong but at least they tried. Looking at a paper or project that is wrong sometimes frightens people but it should not be that way because those who have bad papers become the best ones. Even though, people are wrong that should not stop with their education because of that. Meanwhile, Douglass was doing his chores, he was able to take bread from home and share with the little white boys who, in return, would give [him] more valuable bread of knowledge which was able to help him with his reading and writing (2). Being wrong does not mean that this is the end, instead is a way to motivate yourself to do the best as you can to achieve something better. People should not be letdown when they do something wrong because no one is perfect. People just find ways to learn even if I some cases they do thigs wrong. The whole point of this is to be able to learn and be wrong. People should not be disappointed if they do a paper and they do not pass. They will just keep in mind their mistakes for ... In television land, this is known as a primetime slot. Season 11 has an average of 8.22 million viewers and has been renewed for one more season (Grey s Anatomy TV Show on ABC). Grey s Anatomy is well known for its mind blowing medical scenarios and incredibly talented doctors. The study will examine the amount of viewers who binge watch the show between the ages of 17 and 21 declaring Pre Med as their major at a four year university because they believe it will be as easy as the television show depicts being a doctor is. Theory Framing Framing as defined by Robert Entman is to frame a communicating text or message is to promote certain facets of a perceived reality and make them more salient in such a way that endorses a specific problem definition, casual interpretation, moral evaluation, and/or a treatment recommendation (Cissel 68). Framing is an extension of agenda setting, which is when the media tells us what to think about (Sparks 228). • 17. A Great Author By Norman Vincent Peale A great author, Norman Vincent Peale, (n.d) had once said, I believe there are two sides to the phenomenon known as death, this side where we live, and the other side where we shall continue to live. Eternity does not start with death. We are in eternity now . That was the only thought buzzing my mind when I got out of my client, Jenny s house. Jenny recently lost her husband but in his funeral she looked calm, happy and acted like she was not grieving at all. Her families were concerned and had asked me to take care of her as they thought she has some psychological issue or was just at great denial. Since, Jenny and I knew each other for long, we established good therapeutic relationship instantly. According to her mother, she always talked to herself, laughs loudly at the middle of the night and at times refers to her husband, as he is still alive. I felt that she is in grieving process and needs some time to recover. However, when I asked her how she was feeling about her loss, she looked at me like she did not understand what I was talking about. Later, she said that her husband is still there with her and he is not lost. She can feel him and talk to him. Furthermore, she express that she realizes her behavior might seem weird to others but for her that is real and it was happening to her. She shares with me stories about her connectedness with her husband in a spiritual way. It is just his body have left the world but his soul was still there with her. Moreover she ... Both are novels that carry a lot of similarities, where the female characters are portrayed as invisible , servants and child carers . However, after reading carefully into the biographical work of both authors the critical difference I observed was that The Colour Purple is written by an African American woman who may have truly experienced the harshness of what she was writing about; on the other hand The Help by a white woman who had servants at an early age of her life, who would help her has enabled me to consider not only if the novel lacks authenticity but if Kathryn s reason to writing the novel was to catch the readers mind about such harsh conditions of to actually affect the audience with the physical and emotional abuse. Walker was born in 1944, Georgia, USA, a life rooted in the hardship of the racial terror and the wisdom of the African American life and culture of that time. On the other hand, Kathryn Stockett was born 1969, Jackson, Mississippi, USA, after the uproar of the civil rights movement; she is an English/Creative Writing graduate of the University of Alabama. The cornerstone of the changes is to make child protection a shared responsibility . All relevant government agencies will have prescribed responsibilities for ensuring the wellbeing of children. In line with this the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 had been amended to permit the exchange of information relating to the safety and welfare of a child. By this structure of trade, Tanzania is perhaps locked to concentrate on production of natural and primary goods; this has a better outcome in the short term, but leads to several problems in the long term which can future hinder its speed of development. This was evident when the Tanzanian president started by removing top director generals and other government officials that were either embezzling national funds or practicing corrupting procedures. • 28. Notes On Motivation Theory And Motivation Chapter 2: Literature review 2.1. Motivation theory Types of motivation According to Pritchard and Ashwood (2008: 6), motivation is the process used to allocate energy to maximize the satisfaction of needs. It requires that one have a reason to do something. Well know researchers in this area Ryan and Deci (2010) believe that a person, who feels no drive or inspiration to act, can therefore be characterized as unmotivated, while someone who is energized toward a goal can be defined as motivated. People may also experience differing levels and types of motivation based on their individual backgrounds, which means that they vary not only in their amount of motivation, but also in the trend of that motivation (Ryan and Deci, 2000). Different things motivate people who come from different social, cultural, economic and/or financial backgrounds, or who have received different education. An employee s motives, socio economic background and value system will have an effect on how they work, as well as influence the outcome of their performance (Wyk and Erasmus, 2003: 315). Many researchers have worked in the field of motivation over the years, and developed different theories. Maslow s Hierarchy of needs theory proposes that an individual s most basic needs must be met before they will develop higher level desires (Goble, 1970). Maslow created the term metamotivation to explain the motivations of those people, which go beyond the extent of their basic needs and instead ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Recently, the public has begun to once again rise up against such heinous crimes that seem to hail from an era before civil rights. Police brutality notoriously rose during the 1990s. The most guilty of this was the Los Angeles Police Department. After the introduction of crack cocaine plagued the streets of American cities, Los Angeles took the initiative of upgrading its CRASH Unit (Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums). By April 1988, nearly 1,567 minorities were arrested on just one weekend, yet about 10% of these arrests actually led to felony convictions. By 1998, the CRASH unit was embroiled once again in a scandal known as the Rampart Scandal. More than seventy officers assigned to the Rampart Division were accused of strong police misconduct. These officers were accused of targeting minorities and planting evidence on these victims, framing them to higher their positions in the LAPD. (Source #3) In the middle of all this, one case would implant the image of police brutality to all Americans for years to come. Two of the major theories are known as Structural Functionalism Theory and the Conflict Theory. While the conflict theory implies that society is in a state of conflict because of the competition for limited resources. They say that people of power and wealth are the ones that have attributed to the development of inequality over time. For example, a person of power may suddenly realize their extent of power and do whatever it takes to maintain that power no matter who or what group it affects in the long run, giving conflict theorist all the reason to believe that social class is what can cause conflict. • 32. Surrealism And Surrealism In 1925, the original surrealists forged a clear and resounding document, stating, among other things, that the surrealist movement is a revolution, unarguably. They asserted that their movement was not one of poetic form. Furthermore, that it was not even a literary movement. They firmly established, in the infancy of Surrealism, that it was not an aesthetic endeavour. It was a revolution of the mind. Surrealist actions and thoughts function in the absence of any aesthetic or moral concern. This idea was thoroughly tested with the many events to come. It was tested when Salvador Dali went so far with a lack of moral concern as to support Hitler himself, earning himself an excommunication, after a characteristically dramatic trial. It was tested when Andre Breton, honorary founder of Surrealism, stated that The purest surrealist act is walking into a crowd with a loaded gun and firing into it randomly. This has since, regrettably, been forgotten. We have forgotten, somehow, the broken bones, the muddied faces, the chaos, and the legitimate taboos in which Surrealism languished. We have forgotten how, historically, we have stared in the face that which no one else dared to glance at. We have cast aside that which hurts us, for we do not care to include it in our reality. We have also become much more tolerant, since Breton s death in 1966, of that which is not actually surrealist. At the risk of sounding anti progress, I say that the movement has become less pure ...
