Coldwar was a muted war between the giants, with brief happens in Russia during the same. Facts and researched papers were used to narrate my understanding of how the Coldwar ended. Just because of some nationalists the whole economy of the world suffered.

4.  The Cold War was a lengthy struggle between the United States and the
Soviet Union that began in the aftermath of the surrender of Hitler’s
Germany.
 In 1941, Nazi aggression against the USSR turned the Soviet regime into an
ally of the Western democracies. But in the post-war world, increasingly
divergent viewpoints created rifts between those who had once been allies.
 The United States and the USSR gradually built up their own zones of
influence, dividing the world into two opposing camps.
 The Cold War was therefore not exclusively a struggle between the US and
the USSR but a global conflict that affected many countries, particularly the
continent of Europe. In Western Europe, the European integration process
began with the support of the United States, while the countries of Eastern
Europe became satellites of the USSR.

1953.
 De Stalinization means the discrediting of Stalin and his policies.
 Under Stalin, the Soviet Union was transformed from a peasant society into an
industrial and military superpower. However, he ruled by terror, and millions of
his own citizens died during his brutal reign.
 De-Stalinization is consisted of a series of political reforms in the Soviet
Union after the death of long-time leader Joseph Stalin in 1953, and the
ascension of Nikita Khrushchev to power.

7. Nikita Khrushchev
 First Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1953 to 1964 and
chairman of that country's Council of Ministers from 1958 to 1964.
 Destalinization was the process begun by Nikita Khrushchev, following the death of
former Russian dictator Joseph Stalin in March 1953, of first discrediting Stalin and then
reforming Soviet Russia leading to large numbers being released from imprisonment in
Gulags, a temporary thaw in the Cold War, a slight relaxation in censorship and an
increase in consumer goods, an era dubbed as
‘The Thaw’ or ‘Khrushchev’s Thaw’.

 It is a period of the easing of Cold War tensions between the U.S. and the Soviet
Union from 1967 to 1979. The era was a time of increased trade and cooperation
with the Soviet Union and the signing of the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks
(SALT) treaties. Relations cooled again with the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

9. Richard M. Nixon
 U.S. Pres. Richard M. Nixon, who came into office at the beginning of 1969,
believed that his track record as a staunch anti-communist and tough negotiator
would win conservative support for his efforts at détente.
 He met with Premier Aleksey N. Kosygin and Communist Party leader Leonid
Brezhnev. They discussed matters such as arms limitation, prevention of nuclear
war, and increased trade between the United States and the Soviet Union. The
most important immediate outcome of that summit meeting was the signing, on
May 26, of SALT I.

11. The first agreements, known as SALT I and SALT II, were signed by the United
States and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in 1972 and 1979, respectively,
and were intended to restrain the arms race in strategic (long-range or
intercontinental) ballistic missiles armed with nuclear weapons.

27.  The Berlin Wall was a guarded concrete barrier that physically and ideologically
divided Berlin from 1961 to 1989.
 Construction of the wall was commenced by the German Democratic Republic on
13 August 1961. The Wall cut off West Berlin from surrounding East Germany,
