someone is infected until symptoms develop
► The SARS-CoV-2 incubation
period ranges from 2 to 14
days
►50% of people will become
ill by 5 days AFTER they are
infected

is, on average, 3 days

Close Contacts of a COVID Case
Persons who have had exposure when they lived with,
worked with*, transacted with*, or cared for a confirmed
case.
World Health Organization has recommended that this will include
individuals who had
1. a face-to-face contact with a confirmed case for at least a 15-
minutes conversation within 1- meter from the confirmed case
2. was shared an enclosed space for a minimum of 1 to 2 hours with
a confirmed case.
