This document provides information about STRACON GyM's work on the Cobre Panama copper mining project in Panama. Cobre Panama is an open-pit copper
projectlocated120kmwestofPanama
City and 20 km from the Caribbean
coast, in the district of Donoso, Colon
province. The project consists of four
zonestotaling13,600ha.
Minera Panama S.A. (MP) holds the
CobrePanamaconcession,toexplore
andexploittheproperty.
STRACON GyM S.A. (SGyM) and MP
signed an “Alliance Agreement” in
April2012coveringtheconstruction
of the Tailings Management Facility
(TMF)foraninitial3-yearperiod.
InApril2013,FirstQuantumMinerals
(FQM) acquired MP. One year later,
SGyM’s scope was expanded across
theproject.
