Mawlānā Jalāl ad-Dīn Rūmī Presentation
MawlānāJalāl ad-DīnRūmī was a 13th century Persian poet, jurist, Islamic scholar, theologian, and Sufi mystic. He was born in 1207 in Balkh, but later migrated westward with his family eventually settling in Konya, Turkey. There he met the dervish Shams Tabrizi who had a profound influence on him and inspired his most famous work, the Masnavi. The Masnavi is a 25,000 couplet poem considered one of the greatest works of mystical poetry. Rumi promoted interfaith understanding and preached religious tolerance, expressing in his works that one can find truth in all faith
Transcendence And Closeness Of God

Khushoo refers to being completely humble and submissive during prayer. It is a state of highest humility of the heart when worshipping Allah. The Quran and hadith emphasize maintaining khushoo during prayer. Some tips to attain khushoo include proper preparation, avoiding distractions, praying in congregation when possible, and focusing on the meaning of what is being recited. Maintaining khushoo is important but difficult, and believers should strive to improve while knowing Allah does not burden people beyond their abilities.
