During a Post Installation Mooring Inspection at Mississippi Canyon block 736, curious growths were noted on the chain which are evidence of Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion (MIC). These growths were also observed on subsea shipwrecks such as the Titanic and in some conditions corrode steel at a surprising rate. Though observation of these tubercles does not accelerate their growth rate, designers should consider corrosion rates in their design even at depths of 6000 feet below sea level. Corrosion can and does occur in an anoxic environment and designers should not relax their corrosion allowances for chains at depth.

The extraction of zinc(II) from zinc-plating wastewater by liquid-liquid extraction was studied using the commercial extractants di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) and bis(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)phosphinic acid (Cyanex® 272), as well as the ionic liquids, Trihexyltetradecylphosphonium bromide (Cyphos® 102), Trihexyltetradecylphosphonium decanoate (Cyphos® 103) and Trihexyltetradecylphosphonium bis(2,4,4- trimethylpentyl)phosphinate (Cyphos® 104), diluted in organic solvents. First, the commercial extractants and the ionic liquids with the most potential were selected based on the results from diluents, modifiers, and stripping solution screening tests. Then, the optimization of extraction and re-extraction (stripping) conditions for each extractant was achieved either by effluent pre-treatment (pH adjustment) to remove iron before liquid-liquid extraction or by adjusting the extractant-to-zinc ratio. Afterward, one commercial extractant and one ionic liquid were selected for further evaluation based on the following parameters: reusability, contact time (kinetic studies), and loading capacity.

CORROSION BEHAVIOR of LOW CARBONSTEEL (SHEET METALS) in SELECTED ACIDIC MEDIUMAM Publications
Low carbon sheet metals are one of the widely used materials in the industrial sector, it will have a frequent contact with different chemicals, due to relative availability, its cost and the like. The main drawback of this metal is it corrodes easily when exposed to different environment. The research aims at investigating the corrosion rate of low carbon steel, specifically sheet metals in the acidic medium (Nitric Acid, sulphuric acid and hydrochloric Acids each with concentration of 1.0M, 1.5M and 2.0M). The sample coupons with known weight were immersed in the sample media (Nitric Acid, Sulphuric acid and Hydrochloric Acids) for five days and the weight loss measurement were taken with the interval of 24hrs. Different research revealed that the presence of corrosion of low carbon sheet metals in HCl, HNO3 and H2SO4 solutions are credited to the presence of water, air and H+ which accelerated the corrosion processes. To fulfil the aim of this research weight loss was calculated from the measured weight values. And the calculated value shows, the rate of attack increases with increase in time and molar concentration of the acids, the weight loss and corrosion rate becomes high in Nitric acid and the least in hydrochloric acids. Finally, corrosion in Nitric acid exhibits colorful appearance due to the evolution of Nitrogen (II) oxide gas.
The Effect of Four Commercially Available Steel Decontamination Processes on ...Charter_Coating
External coatings used for corrosion protection often have to perform under severely corrosive environments. One major concern regarding coating performance is the negative effect of soluble salts on the steel substrate at the time of coating application, particularly for marine maintenance coating applications. Work presented here focuses on removal of soluble salts contamination by commercially available decontamination processes in relation to external coating systems. We directly compared the effectiveness of four cleaning methods with the performance of ten coating systems. This work has been presented during NACE Corrosion 2014 Conference in San Antonio.

The project aimed to study how the investigated triazole derivative controls the corrosion of mild steel in sulfuric acid solutions. The corrosion rates in absence and presence of different concentrations of inhibitor will be measured using weight loss and potentiodynamic polarization techniques. Also, the effect of inhibitor on surface morphology of carbon steel will be investigated using scanning electron microscope.
Multiple adsorption of heavy metal ions in aqueous solution using activated c...eSAT Journals
Abstract
Batch adsorption of different heavy metal ions (Nickel, Copper, Zinc, Lead, Cadmium and Chromium) in aqueous solution using
activated carbon from Nigerian bamboo was studied. The bamboo was cut, washed and dried. It was carbonized between 3000C -
4500C, and activated at 8000C using nitric acid. The bulk density, iodine number, Benzene adsorption, methylene adsorption, and
ash content of the activated carbon produced compared well with commercial carbons. Multiple adsorption of these metals in
same aqueous solution using bamboo carbon showed that adsorption capacity is in the order Pb>Cd>Cu>Zn>Ni>Cr which
showed that these metal ions can be adsorbed selectively by Nigerian bamboo activated carbon. The order of adsorption is related
to the maximum adsorption of lead, cadmium, copper on bamboo was found to be in the order of ionic radius of the heavy metals
used. Therefore this study demonstrates that bamboo can serve as a good source of activated carbon with multiple metal ions –
removing potentials and may serve as a better replacement for commercial activated carbons in applications that warrant their
use. However, it will also contribute to the search for less expensive adsorbents and their utilization possibilities for the
elimination of heavy metal ions from industrial waste water.

Memorandum Of Association Constitution of Company.pptseri bangash
www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.
https://seribangash.com/promotors-is-person-conceived-formation-company/
Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder
Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.
