The PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) program began in the 1970s as Supplemental Instruction at the University of Missouri. It provides voluntary peer-led study sessions to assist students in traditionally difficult courses and increase retention and graduation rates. PASS sessions are facilitated by student leaders and focus on deeper learning and study skills. Monash University Malaysia started a PASS program in 2008 to support students across various disciplines. It has helped improve student performance but also faces challenges like student attendance and acceptance by faculty. Ongoing quality assurance ensures the PASS program effectiveness.

cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.

of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
