This document provides an overview of the goals, projects, requirements, and schedule for a high school music appreciation class. The class will study various musical styles, composers, and works. Projects include presentations on students' top five favorite songs and a musical timeline. Tests will cover history, theory, and listening sections. Students must attend and critique a live performance. The teacher's background and plan for the week are also outlined. Students will introduce themselves and work on their favorite songs presentations.

7. Performance Critiques You will need to attend one live performance before May 1st Fill out a “critique worksheet” during or after the performance Write a minimum 3 page paper about the performance A program from the performance must also be turned in

Preview your choices carefully before you present them to the class!***
