This document describes an experiment to observe osmosis in eggs. Students placed eggs in vinegar to remove the shell, then weighed and measured them. One egg was placed in water and one in corn syrup. After 48 hours, the egg in corn syrup decreased in weight and size due to losing water through osmosis, while the egg in water gained weight and size by absorbing water. The experiment supported the hypotheses that the corn syrup egg would lose water and shrink, while the water egg would gain water and enlarge.
