The CILIP Information Literacy Project Board was launched in 2010 to establish CILIP as a key stakeholder in information literacy. The board aims to integrate information literacy into CILIP's activities and partner with other organizations. A 2013 survey found 89% of CILIP members outside academia see information literacy as important. The board's achievements include hosting summits, issuing press statements on literacy issues, and endorsing the Alexandria Proclamation on information literacy. Moving forward, the board plans roundtables on e-safety and literacy in the workplace to inform new policy statements and resources.
