The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) is a non-profit scientific organization founded in 1993 with headquarters in Bogor, Indonesia that conducts research on forest management challenges around the world. CIFOR aims to improve human well-being and environmental protection through research, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement. It focuses its work on forest and landscape management, climate change, food security, gender equality, and low-carbon development.
