power point with pictures to introduce the story.
Procedures
ROUTINE
WARM- UP (10 minutes)
Teacher will start the class by writing on the board the date, the
weather like and this inspirational word.
“SMILE”
I will ask them to copy the phrases writing on the board on their notebook.
Scaffolding strategies: I will hang on the whiteboard a picture of the
smile.
Transition Phrase: Ok, now pay attention to me please! We are going
to watch a Video.
PRESENT ATI ON (15 MINUTES)
Teacher will ask to children the following question “-do you like listening to
stories?” in order to set the context. Then I will show to them the power point in
order to clarify the vocabulary.
Scaffolding strategies: Ask questions to the students, such as, what is it?, Do you
know it?. The teacher elicits as much information as possible so as to
activate previous knowledge and vocabulary.
Transition phrase: Excellent! So now we are going to watch the video.
DEVELOP M ENT (PRACTI CE and PRODUCTI ON) (15 MINUTES)
First, of all teacher will give to the students a photocopy of an
activity. It will consist on writing TRUE or FALSE next to the
sentences, based on the video.
Then I will play on the video.
Later, I will ask to the children if they need to watch the video again,
and in that case I will play it again.
Finally, we will check all the sentences on the whiteboard.
Scaffolding strategies: Teacher will read the sentences aloud and explain to them
meaning by using the pdf. Then I will stop the video in order to guide to write true
or false.
Transitional phrase: Well, now we have another activity. Let´s do it!!!
CLOSURE (10 MINUTES)
At this stage, I will give to children a piece of paper with the answer What can you
do? And they should write on it their abilities like in the story. Then they will write
their name on it and hand in the task.
Finally, we will say the prayer, “Thank you Lord for the present day, Amen”
Then I will say “very good, let´s clean up. We have learnt a lot today,
we have had a great time. Come on! Put your English notebook away
inside your school bag.
Scaffolding strategies: I will show to children as an example a
description of my abilities on the whiteboard.
I will give them time to develop the task.

  • 2. Materials video from youtube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tScUb08F7os ), pictures of a smile power point with pictures to introduce the story. Procedures ROUTINE WARM- UP (10 minutes) Teacher will start the class by writing on the board the date, the weather like and this inspirational word. “SMILE” I will ask them to copy the phrases writing on the board on their notebook. Scaffolding strategies: I will hang on the whiteboard a picture of the smile. Transition Phrase: Ok, now pay attention to me please! We are going to watch a Video. PRESENT ATI ON (15 MINUTES) Teacher will ask to children the following question “-do you like listening to stories?” in order to set the context. Then I will show to them the power point in order to clarify the vocabulary. Scaffolding strategies: Ask questions to the students, such as, what is it?, Do you know it?. The teacher elicits as much information as possible so as to activate previous knowledge and vocabulary. Transition phrase: Excellent! So now we are going to watch the video. DEVELOP M ENT (PRACTI CE and PRODUCTI ON) (15 MINUTES) First, of all teacher will give to the students a photocopy of an activity. It will consist on writing TRUE or FALSE next to the sentences, based on the video. Then I will play on the video. Later, I will ask to the children if they need to watch the video again, and in that case I will play it again. Finally, we will check all the sentences on the whiteboard.
  • 3. Scaffolding strategies: Teacher will read the sentences aloud and explain to them meaning by using the pdf. Then I will stop the video in order to guide to write true or false. Transitional phrase: Well, now we have another activity. Let´s do it!!! CLOSURE (10 MINUTES) At this stage, I will give to children a piece of paper with the answer What can you do? And they should write on it their abilities like in the story. Then they will write their name on it and hand in the task. Finally, we will say the prayer, “Thank you Lord for the present day, Amen” Then I will say “very good, let´s clean up. We have learnt a lot today, we have had a great time. Come on! Put your English notebook away inside your school bag. Scaffolding strategies: I will show to children as an example a description of my abilities on the whiteboard. I will give them time to develop the task.
