Abstract
Intuition has rarely been given the credit it deserves, even when numerous experiments over the past
decades has shown it to be a complex and detailed subconscious process, rather than the pseudo
science many still believe it to be. Despite the success of intuition as a decision maker, the ideology
that we should trust logic first and hunches second often wins out. While intuition has been known to
lead to mistakes, known as Warren Harding Errors, it s often more reliable than logical, thought out
problem solving. Ignorance as to the true nature of intuition has led to a societal ideology that values
the conscious over the subconscious, and regards intuition as a lesser emotion that isn t to be trusted.
However, there is, in fact, science to support the reliability of intuition. Gut feelings are a result of the
ventromedial prefrontal cortex, located directly behind the nose, which sorts and prioritizes
information, and runs all relevant information through the subconscious, which uses an analyzation of
past events and calculates the best course of action. This process manifests as intuition.

Since the Brady Act was introduced in 1998, we know that there have been approximately two
hundred and thirty million background screenings done to date. However, imagine how many more
could have been completed if the right laws were in place for unlicensed dealers. The laws that are in
place today are lacking at best, therefore a major issue with purchasing these firearms happen at gun
shows, which is also known as the gun show loophole. In an article, written by Mark Duggan of the
MIT Press, states that THOUSANDS of gun shows take place in the United States each year. Gun
control advocates argue that the gun show loophole makes it easier for potential criminals to obtain a
gun; the loophole basically allows unlicensed vendors at gun shows to sell firearms without

shift our focus on compressed caching which is the technique that tries to decrease paging request
from secondary storage. We know that there is a big performance gap in accessing the primary
memory (RAM) and secondary storage (Disk). The Compressed caching technique intercepts the
pages to be swapped out, compresses them and stores them in pool allocated in RAM. Hence it tries to
fill the performance gap by adding new level to virtual memory hierarchy. This paper analyze the
performance of virtual memory compression. Further to avoid various categories of cache misses we
