We often eat roasted pork and duck for Christmas Eve dinner along with caramelized potatoes and potato chips. Traditional Danish Christmas foods include rice porridge topped with cinnamon and butter, rice dessert with almonds and cherry sauce containing a whole almond prize, and gingerbread cookies decorated with icing and containing cinnamon and carnations. A variety of Christmas candies such as marzipan, chocolate, and licorice are also eaten.
