Fugitive former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont has been arrested in Germany on a European arrest warrant. His solicitor said Mr. Puigdemont had intended to travel back to Belgium, where he has resided since fleeing Spain in October. A man has also been charged in France over alleged links to a suspect in last year's deadly jihadist attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils, Spain. Meanwhile, women across Spain are preparing for a 24-hour strike at work and in the home on International Women's Day to highlight unequal pay and their disproportionate share of unpaid domestic work.
