ICT is a key driver of innovation in Flanders. Some key facts about the ICT sector in Flanders are that it generates €8.1 billion in added value, employs 59,400 people, and consists of 765 companies with over 10 employees. The ICT sector focuses on application domains like automotive, manufacturing, healthcare, transportation and energy. To further support innovation, the document recommends prioritizing the Digital Agenda for Flanders, defining ICT as a key policy domain, stimulating promising SMEs to become global companies, supporting large pilot projects, and strengthening connections between ICT companies and academic institutions.

This is my introduction into FIspace that was used for the presentation of Jaap van der Pol, a student from the Free University of Amsterdam that did his MSc thesis research on a Business Model for FIspace, the B2B collaboration platform for Agri-Food, Transport & Losgistics. I included the main concluding slides from him in this presentation.
Strong M&A outlook for Dutch high-tech sectorWouter Wolzak
The Netherlands has a strong high-tech sector, especially when it comes to semiconductors, sensor technology and high-tech systems. The sector is also popular for M&A with a strong outlook driven by a number of trends. New technologies like IoT, big data and machine learning put pressure on companies to innovate at an ever higher pace. Important motivations for M&A in the high-tech sector are: acquiring a core technology, supply chain consolidation and general consolidation.

Presentation given by Serge Van Herck, CEO of Newtec, at the Comsys 2012 Global VSAT Conference.
Is DVB-S2 truly the end of the line and the ultimate in bandwidth efficiency as was suggested when it was launched? Perhaps not, already there have been some incremental improvements with new gains being added step-by-step over the past year. The DVB Project is working on new designs and private companies, like Newtec, are also pushing the boundaries within the DVB standards process as well as on their own initiative. It is important for operators and users to understand what they can expect the technology to deliver long term and this presentation gives us a glimpse into the future.
Mitigating Interference in the Network & Status Carrier ID StandardizationNewtec

The SatFinAfrica Pilot Project was co-funded by ESA (ARTES 3-4 Satcom Applications)
Its main objective was to demonstrate the suitability of Sat3Play platform, originally designed for serving the consumer market, for reliable and secured financial institutions applications in emerging countries. It included demonstrations and a Pilot Project in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Financial institutions represent a fast growing market, their remote sites in Sub-Saharan Africa are often too small to justify the investment in a classic corporate VSAT.
There was a need to develop a corporate version of Astra2Connect service, tailored to the need of financial institutions, and of a pilot project to demonstrate the suitability of these newly developed corporate services.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.
Putting the SPARK into Virtual Training.pptxCynthia Clay
This 60-minute webinar, sponsored by Adobe, was delivered for the Training Mag Network. It explored the five elements of SPARK: Storytelling, Purpose, Action, Relationships, and Kudos. Knowing how to tell a well-structured story is key to building long-term memory. Stating a clear purpose that doesn't take away from the discovery learning process is critical. Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement. Validating and affirming participants' comments is the way to create a positive learning environment.
Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.
