This portfolio documents projects that I have recently completed and describes my style in design. I have shown my experience with Adobe programs and more through this portfolio.
2. Project: Mood Board
This project was created by
me to visually show what my
aesthetic is when it comes to
interior design, as well as
some of the words that
describe my work ethic. I
included designs and
graphics that match my style.
I also included color swatches
and patterned fabric swatches
that I would include in my
designs. I created this mood
board with the intention that
someone could look at it and
get a sense of my style right
away.
To create this mood board, I
used canva to compose a
board with a creative
background, creative text,
and creative visuals that
would represent my brand in
the most visually appealing
way. I composed it in a way
that would tie everything
together and place equal
balance on everything.
3. Process: Variant Colorways
For this process I began by creating
an outline of this couch using the
pen tool in illustrator, then filled
each couch in with various colors.
These colors represent the swatches
of color that I would use in a room in
my design. The detail that I included
in my outline would likely also be
styles that I would use in my design.
It is important to see various styles
in your design and various colors so
that you can see how they all look
together.
4. Variant Colorways Process
This is another example of how I used
Adobe Illustrator to transform a piece of
furniture into another colorway.
Originally, the chair on the top left was a
seafoam green color, I selected the
furniture using specific tools that would
allow me to select the piece. Then, I
changed the chair to a dark maroon color,
which goes better with my color scheme
for my brand. I did the same process for
the couch, which I changed it from a light
pink color to a darker green color. This is
an important process for interior design
because you will want to be able to show
furniture in virtually any color to go along
with a room that you are planning.
5. Adding Color & Design to a Space
I found an image of a simple yet
stylish living room and decided to
add more design and color to the
space. I used Adobe Illustrator to
add color to the throw pillows on
the couch and even added stripes
to the ceiling. I like the original
design of the living room that i
found but I wanted to spice it up to
make it more interesting and add
my own design touch to it. I made
sure to match the color scheme
and pattern of the living room.
6. Before
After
Designing an Empty Space
I took a picture of an empty living
room without any decor or color
on the walls and no furniture. I
used Adobe Illustrator to design
the living room to make it look
more interesting. This was a
simple design and I didn’t add
that much, but I added color to
one wall to make a statement
wall, and added some wall art. I
also placed a side table next to the
fire place, and placed a couch and
rug in the center of the room.
This is a simple design but shows
how I would add a more
decorative touch to a space.
7. Living Room Coloring Page
I found a template of a
living room and opened it
on Adobe Illustrator and
decided to add color and
texture to create a living
room that had depth and
variety in texture and
pattern and color. I made
sure to add color all
throughout the page and
not leave any white. This
was a time consuming
project, as I used the pen
tool to create sections
that I filled with a color or
texture. My sections
aren’t perfect, but I am
improving as I practice.

Thank you for taking the time to view my portfolio and taking a closer look at my style and
experience. I hope to grow in every project that I do and gain better experience and
understanding for the interior design industry.
