2. FONTS
For my fonts, I wanted to
choose something artistic and
dainty. I like the old
newspaper font I found on the
website dafont.com. I think
this represents architecture
well and will go with the
images and colours, I think I
will use a variety of different
fonts for my fanzine and I
want to show different
elements to my work and
designs. I also really like the
Georgina font. I think this will
look really elegant and
interesting, as its calligraphy
style which is an art itself. I
also want to explore further
with my fonts and involve
outlines of buildings around
them for an on going theme.
10. Mood boards summary
In summary of my collection of images, fonts and colours, I have a much
clearer view on how I want my final product to look like. I want to combine
architecture with abstract and modern art, using watercolour paints and
variety of artistic techniques like sketches and colouring with felt pens. I will
also be adding photographs of architecture buildings/home/interior design so
I cover all areas of this subject. The design element will be a mixture of
collages since I am aiming for an abstract effect. After my idea development I
have also decided I want to involve an artistic approach to my fonts that
represent architecture. I think this will be fun to play around with an make my
lettering have outlines of buildings involved within them. I also got onto the
idea of sketching out floor plans and adding colour to them. I will be involing a
contents page which has all the information on what the fanzine inclues, such
as my artwork, places such as venice /london /new york, interviews with
myself and architects like my father as it runs through my family as an on going
business. I also will provide photographs of work my father has done and
other photographs I will take myself. The colour scheme will involve pages
with very neutral black and whites, to bright pastel colours.
12. Production schedule:
You have 3 weeks to complete your book along with any improvements. You need to plan this. What will you be doing each
week? How long should you spend on each task? How will you know if you are head or behind schedule?
