The document summarizes the results of a 2G benchmark test conducted by Huawei for Airtel in Chittagong, Bangladesh. It tested the key performance indicators of four major mobile operators - Airtel, GP, B.Link, and Robi. For voice tests, Robi showed the best coverage while Airtel ranked second. Airtel had the highest average MOS score of 3.48. For data tests, Airtel performed best in GPRS attach rate, FTP upload rate, and HTTP browsing while Robi was ranked first in PDP activation and FTP download rate.

Simulative analysis of channel and qo s aware scheduler to enhance the capaci...IAEME Publication
Here a new MAC scheduling mechanism for the downlink of LTE systems named Channel and Qos Aware Scheduler is analyzed. This scheduler is based on a Channel and QoS aware algorithm which performs joint time and frequency scheduling. The relevance of the scheduler comes in to play in a situation in which the number of data hungry users are at the rising edge and they demand for traffics that have very tight QoS requirement in terms of bit rate and delay.eg:- VoIP, Video conferencing & Online Gaming. The performance of the scheduler is evaluated by means of network simulations in LTE single cell scenario with mixed traffic and compared the results with state of the art LTE downlink schedulers. The results shows that in a realistic scenario in which quality of channel varies over time as well as frequency, CQA scheduler significantly outperforms other schedulers in terms of provided QoS.

Congestion control in computer networks using a modified red aqm algorithmeSAT Journals
Abstract Congestion control plays an important role in network resource management in very large networks with heavy traffic. Active Queue Management (AQM) algorithms are one of the approaches to resolve the congestion problems. Majority of AQM algorithms mainly focus on single queued links. The input queued switches are limited in throughput and output queued switches require a large speedup factor so our attention is directed towards Combined Input and Output Queued (CIOQ) switches. A simple modification to the RED AQM algorithm is proposed in this paper in order to account for the presence of both input and output queues in the switch. The weighted sum of input and output queue lengths are specifically used as the congestion measure instead of just the output queue length. The average backlog in the switch is significantly reduced in the low speedup region by using our modified algorithm as compared to RED without this modification. Simulations show that the loss rate in the modified RED slightly larger than that in traditional RED but the output queue length in modified RED is tremendously reduced. The congestion measure which is computed using weighting factor results in reduction of the average backlog. Using our modified algorithm simulations indicate improvement in the queue length and switch utilization. Keywords: Combined Input and Output Queued (CIOQ), Active Queue Management (AQM), Random Early Detection (RED), congestion, congestion control
Evaluation of CSSR with Direct TCH Assignment in Cellular NetworksIJERA Editor
Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) operators make use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to appreciate the network performance and evaluate the Quality of Service (QoS) regarding end user perceived quality. KPIs are therefore becoming increasingly important in the context of network rollouts as well as within mature network optimization cycles. The performance of the mobile network is measured based on several counters describing the most important events over a measurement period. The KPIs are derived with the help of these counters using different formulations. Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR) is one of the most important KPIs used by all mobile operators. In Ouagadougou, Burkina-Faso, most of the active workers and remote area farmers rely largely on mobile communication services; the GPRS as data services remain highly competitive with GSM voice services. This paper presents a comparative evaluation of theoretically estimated CSSR to measured CSSR data on a real network with regard to GPRS services. The measured data was obtained from the Nokia Siemens Network (NSN) statistical tool. The results obtained showed significant improvements in areas where sharp drops in CSSR values were recorded for the measured CSSR. Significantly high R square values of close to 1 representing a high predictive ability from the regression analysis of the estimated CSSR were also recorded. It was concluded that the implementation of the CSSR formulation be extended to CSSR measurements to ensure increased subscriber satisfaction.

3. 2G Benchmark DT Report at Chittagong among Major Four Operator in Bangladesh 3
Chittagong is a city in southeastern Bangladesh and the capital of an eponymous district and division. Built on the banks of the
Karnaphuli River, the city is home to Bangladesh's busiest seaport and has a population of over 5.7 million, making it the second
largest city in the country.
Today, Chittagong is one of the fastest growing cities in the world. A major commercial and industrial centre, the city also has a
globally competitive special economic zone. With the Port of Chittagong being expanded and developed, regional neighbors of
Bangladesh.
According to Telecommunication service and respect to business this city is very important for every operator .
Maximum User is dividing and sharing 2G technology among these four operators.

Voice Test Algorithm
We have categorized voice call into two types’ short call and continuous call. Short call for 2 minute duration. This short call will be
used to calculate call setup time CS accessibility, blocked call rate, dropped call rate etc. On the other hand Continuous call will be
used to calculate SQI MOS. SQI MOS algorithm as per Airtel recommendation defined by the ITU..Scanner has used to measure
coverage that means RXLEVEL as well as to measure Ec/Io value.

Voice Data Summary:
For Voice testing in field level the major DT KPI is coverage area which can be represent by RxLevel is the collected RF energy after
the correlation / descrambling process, usually given in dBm unit. RxLevel value generally fluctuates from -10 dBm to -120 dBm in
theoritically. Here define the major four operator RxLevel plot. From this we can define the coverage distribution.
RxLevel Plot
From the Rxlevel plot this is shown that some area of airtel found poor coverage. But
overall is good.To minimize the poor coverage required some site as well as some
optimization. Then Coverage plot will better than present situation. This Ploot is taken
from outdoor DT.
8. 2G Benchmark DT Report at Chittagong among Major Four Operator in Bangladesh 8
RxLevel Graphical Presentation:
For Details analysis of Coverage distribution among major four operator Pi chart is define here:
If we consider the best value of RxLevel from (0 to -75 dBm) then from Pi Chart this is shown that
Airtel cover the near 92 percent area.
Robi Cover the near 96 percent area
B.Link Cover the near 91 percent area
GP Cover the near 91 percent area
9. 2G Benchmark DT Report at Chittagong among Major Four Operator in Bangladesh 9
Overall Coverage Distribution:
From total sample percentage distribution among four operator final results calculated according this equation by which coverage
rate scoring will measured.
Coverage Rate Score(%) = (A%*10+B%*8+C%*6+D%*1)/10
Distribution plot according to this equation and percentage of various range of sample distribution:
Table: Coverage distribution scoring table
From Avobe all graphical and educational result we can say that
Robi presents the best coverage in Chittagong city for GSM technology and getting 1st position.
Airtel presents 2nd
position.
Banglalink presents 3rd
Position and
Grameenphone presents 4th
Position.
MOS Distribution
10. 2G Benchmark DT Report at Chittagong among Major Four Operator in Bangladesh 10
Like as 2G, MOS is a major KPI of 2Gnetwork which is define the quality: To compare the MOS value of each operator defines the
value by plotting. The MOS value presents from 0 to 5 ranges. Maximum the MOS value presents the good network quality. This MOS
value counted from long call which is performed from MS1 to MS2.
Presentation of four Major Operator MOS value
From The MOS plotting result this is shown that maximum the best value which range from 3.5 to 5 presents the airtel. That means
Airtel showing the best position according to MOS value. Then Grameenphone figure looking good.
Average MOS value:

Call Setup Time:
Call Setup Time (CST) is a major KPI which define that how much time will require to setup a new call. The shortest value measure
the best value. During DT short call value is collected by calling individual own operator number like as (Airtel-676, GP-444555,
Robi-959 & B.Link-4229).
This call setup time will be little increase/Decrease if we call one number to another number.
