Childhood Transition Essay
Throughout life, I have faced many events that have helped my transition from childhood to adulthood. Some of these events have been small, while
others have affected this transition more. The event that has made the biggest impact on my transition from childhood to adulthood occurred two
years ago. In August of 2014, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, which was the worst thing to hear as a fourteen year old going into tenth
grade. Being a student athlete and a hard working student in the classroom I knew what adversity felt like but nothing compared to this feeling
though. Also, the fact that I am in accelerated classes, and one of a few in my grade that are in Project Lead The Way (PLTW) out of Rochester
Institute of Technology (R.I.T.)

Perseverance Essay
What is perseverance? Perseverance is the ability to go on when things seem hopeless. It is also a measure of success, or at least how much sacrifice
one is willing to make in the name of success. As students, it is impossible to achieve personal success without having a goal, or direction. The goal
and direction that often propels us to achieve is perseverance. Perseverance is the ability to forge ahead despite setbacks that threaten to undermine all
efforts to succeed.
We are high school students and that means that the sense of urgency to strive for and to achieve personal success is now. With this urgency comes
the expectation of having to persevere. This year has not been as easy one for us as a school body. We have been

There is no shame in falling; the shame is in accepting the the fall as defeat. Nelson Mandella once said, "The greatest glory in living lies not in never
falling, but in rising every time you fall." That is the essence of persevering––finding the will to get up even though you know you are being counted
out.
Each day is a challenge for some of us. Some of you struggle to get up each morning and make it to school. But you find it within yourself to do
because the hope of a better tomorrow compels you to do so. It is not easy to explain to teachers or other students that there was no one to wake
you up and see that you were ready for school. The moment you leave your house and step on the bus, you are one step closer to realizing your
dream, to fulfilling your purpose. That is what perseverance is. It is the finding the strength to do the impossible because you know that all things
are possible. It is understanding that your tomorrow has great possibilities because of the steps you take today. I had a neighbor whose parents were
divorced, but it seems like both parents divorced her. Her mother had custody, but she was seldom around. My friend raised herself. She gave a whole
new meaning to the phrase "putting yourself through school", but she was in middle school. However, she had a dream of something better and it was
evident that it required self–motivation and determination.

Persuasive Speech Adopting Animals
My persuasive speech was to persuade people to adopt dogs and puppies from shelters and not to buy the animals from puppy mills or stores. I
believe that my content was suitable to the audience because it not a broad topic. The topic also talked about animals and a lot of people enjoy
dogs. I feel as if my content that I provided in my speech was appropriate because I used statistics to help back up my facts and it was all related to
adopting rather than buying as a topic. I fell as if I had a lot of information and that I should have picked more specific points to talk about with my
content that way I would have stayed in between the time limitations. I think that I used varied and interesting supporting material to back up my

During my interview, I tried to concentrate on my strengths as a person and with my skills to acquire the job. With my speeches for the

organization of my speeches got better throughout the semester. I feel in the beginning of the semester I did not really know how to fully prepare
an outline for my speech and to find credible sources, but by the time my persuasive speech rolled around I feel as I was able to stay organized while
completing the project and while presenting it. My student organization skills grew during the semester. I was able to create a full sentence outline for

Persuasive Speech On Being Transgender
Have you ever gone somewhere and felt completely out of place, like you didn't belong there? Maybe you have felt that way at a party, at the beach,
at school, or maybe even just being on your own sports team? Transgenders have that feeling everyday, they often feel completely out of place in
everything they do. They feel as if they're in the wrong body, and that they are not who they are supposed to be. Being transgender is about the gender
someone identifies with, such as being born a boy but feeling like they should be a girl and actually identifying themselves as a girl or vise versa.
Identity and expression are two of the most important factors in the way people see themselves and take part in their surroundings. When
someone feels they are in the wrong body or not the person they feel they should be, their entire world feels upside down. When someone When
someone decides to identify as a different gender than they were born with, a transgender, every aspect of their entire life can and does change.
After changing genders their sports team can change, they have to deal with constantly being judged by their peers, switching their name, and even
thinking about which bathroom they should use at school or in a public place. For example, last track season at Bay High, we were at a track meet
against Niceville and the 4x400 relay was about to start, and a transgender boy, he was born as a girl but now identifies as a boy, had to run in the girls
relay, the officials and

Preschool Transition Research Paper
Many children attend both three and four year old preschool. If you plan on switching to a new preschool for next school year, make sure you spend
some time preparing for the transition. If you allow your child to saw goodbye to their old school friends, and allow them time to adjust to their new
preschool, this transition will be a lot easier.
Inform Your Child's Current Preschool They Will Not Be Coming Back
Let your child's teachers know that your child will be attending a different preschool in the fall. Ask your child's current teacher if they can provide
you with information about your child's social emotional development as well as your child's academic development. Many preschools use a rubric to

If your child goes to a preschool that follows the local academic calendar, inform your child as the end of the school year approaches that they need to
say good–bye to all of their friends because they will be going to a new preschool in the fall. As the end of school year celebrations approach, make
sure you celebrate your child's accomplishments and discuss that they will get to go to a new preschool next fall.
If your child goes to a year–round preschool, you can count down the days that your child has left at their old preschool before they transition to

Persuasive Essay About The Future
What are you going to be when you grow up? The go–to inquiry of almost every adult in a child's life. It is asked almost in a whimsical way in the
first few years; often met with innocently ambitious responses such as an astronaut or a deep sea diver. With most kids, myself included, the answer
changed several times throughout grade school. My starry eyed dreams of becoming an archeologist soon shifted to architect, and then to wilderness
firefighter, then soldier, policeman, engineer, and so on. I could be anything i could dream up in this world and i had forever to decide. However,
there comes a point in every teenager's life where the question of the future starts to scare you. This distant future is now becoming a very real thing
that needs to be figured out and planned, because it's almost time to make that next step. I've always heard it said that high school will be the quickest
four years of your life. I had no idea just how fast until it was time for me to start preparing for the real world. Over the past two years, i've really
done some "soul searching" so to speak, and I believe that i've found out what i'm going to do for the rest of my life. Now i know that whatever
teacher got selected to read through the stacks of senior essays that contained my piece is probably laughing at that last bit. If only i knew right? But
just hear me out. My goal is to become a pilot for the United States Marine Corps. From a very young age, the idea of flight has fascinated me.

Transitions Advantages And Disadvantages
There are many parents who want to ensure their children live the best possible life imaginable. Some lives bring increased challenges through no fault
of their own. The struggles life presents can provide hidden opportunities to not only increase their own quality of life but potentially others. The
hidden values are not always seen by everyone, however that wasn't the case in the creation of Transitions. Society values demonstrates a mindset that
individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or have other nonverbal learning disabilities do not have the potential to live a fulfilled life
comparable to those of average ability. However, that is anything but true. When a parent of an individual with such diagnoses saw the...show more

However, it became overwhelming when her high school education had concluded and those supports were not available anymore. Fortunately,
Shaloni's career and experience offered her the ability to support and have access to resources to assist her daughter in obtaining the best life possible

outcome for their child? Transitions has been developed of offer children and young adults those resources and opportunities ultimately offering a better
quality and fulfilled life.
Transitions is a non–for–profit program under its parent company, Lexington. Lexington is the Fulton County chapter of the NYSARC, Inc. Lexington
survives under the mission of providing the best possible support to children and adults with disabilities and their families, to be the best possible
employer for its employees and to contribute to the community (About Lexington, 2017). Transitions functions with the purpose of advancing college
and career success for students with learning differences (Transitions, 2016). There is some congruence of the two mission statements which shows the
successful partnership of the two organizations. The Transitions program itself is a single site. It is co–located with the Paul Nigra Center for the Arts.

Persuasive Essay On Success
Goals, something every human being on this planet has and to reach those goals you must be successful. We set goals to fulfill our purpose in life, but
to do that, you must be successful in meeting and completing those goals. "How Bad Do You Want It?" is a motivational speech that highlights the
requirements of being successful. This speech is important to study because success is so vital and important for our survival as human beings, it
changes the world. No matter your race, religion, culture, etc., you want to be successful and that will have a different definition for everyone, because
only you can define what success means to you. "How Bad Do You Want It" encourages itsaudience to think differently about wanting to be successful
and how to make it happen. This speech holds all the components Aristotle says a speech needs to be effective which include, persuasive, decorative,
and informational, also meaning motivational, actionable, and fun (Morgan, 2016). While watching the football player perform each exercise
repeatedly, I witnessed the effort and dedication he exerted through each set – this commitment resonated with me, as I am also an athlete who is
expected to elicit these qualities. Not only hay, the video serves as confirmation that success is only attainable for those who want it bad enough and
are willing to work for it. Even the background music playing provoked an internal motivation to be proactive.

Persuasive Essay On Change In Life
Life is a whirlwind of events, situations, and lessons all wrapped into one. There is no one way to live life correctly or to the greatest ability because
each individual has a different perception of it. Throughout the whirlwind, some of the lessons learned may benefit or harm us but at the end of the
day, life waits for none. Deciding to make a change in life can be one of the hardest yet most fulfilling things a person can do. Whether a life change
is occurring because one wants to be healthier, or one wants to be more positive, the act can be intimidating at first. Although there are different ways
to go about it, there are at least four key steps to achieving and making a successful lifestyle change and shift. The steps include acknowledging the
problem and deciding on a new lifestyle or what change to make, thoroughly researching the lifestyle and what it takes to attain it, giving a layout or
making a plan of the new lifestyle, and lastly having a self–reward system for the successful transition. As a person it can be hard to admit when
there is a problem or to even acknowledge when there is a flaw within. Pride can be a preventative factor in making a lifestyle change but can be
rewarding when overcame. The first step towards change is accepting one needs to be made. The solution lies within and finding it is as simple as
self–realization of an issue. Being aware of the obstacles that hinder growth into a new lifestyle allows the opportunity to make the necessary changes,
ultimately actuating the entire life changing process. Following the admission of a problem, one must decide what to do about it and what type of life
to transition to. Whether the goal is to become more positive, lose weight, get better grades, or even have a better sleep schedule, the first step to
achieving it is deciding to make the change. After finally making the decision to make a change within life, the journey continues on. When learning
something new in class time is spent studying and researching the topic in order to further understand and comprehend it; the same logic is applied to a
lifestyle change in the sense that the research done has to be even more thorough. Some situations may require tiny changes over time

The Veteran Affair: Transitioning Veterans
Does the government support or fail the veterans that have come back home? Veterans who are in uniform have a hard time transitioning to civilian

improvements or adjustment to help the veterans in need and how the citizens of the world were right. The research will prove what the government is
really doing for our veterans. A women named Michele A. Flournoy fromthe Washington Poststated that the federal government has done great

Procrastination
I.Attention Getter: A famous author by the name of Wayne Dyer once said, "Procrastination is one of the most common and deadliest of diseases and
its toll on success and happiness is incredibly heavy."(1) In todays society it seems as if procrastination has become a normal and acceptable thing to do.
It is often joked about amongst schoolmates and co–workers around the world. Nothing seems to get done until it absolutely needs to get done, then
everyone runs around getting things done quickly and often times inaccurately. The trouble with this mentality however is that some things will never
get done because something will come up tomorrow or the next day and what you are putting off now gets pushed even further back. Today I will
persuade you to stop this habit from continuing. I will be explaining the problems we face when dealing with procrastination as well as how to deal
with it and actions you can take to prevent it in the future.
Transition: It is in our human nature to procrastinate, some of us do it more than others but learning about this problem and understanding how it can
effect you can be beneficial to everyone
II.Need(the Problem): According to an article from Psychology Today, "20 percent of people chronically avoid difficult tasks and deliberately look for
distractions" (2) and According to recent research "Procrastination has more than quadrupled in the last 30

College Transition
Drop. Drop. Drop. That's the rate of college students dropping out of college, or not attending in the first place. We get told from the start to attend
college, but who can afford such an education without some type of loan and with the prices dramatically increasing each year? We get asked from
when we're little to now, what we'd like to be when we're older. Lots of jobs require or encouragecollege backgrounds. With college tuition and prices
increasing it makes the opportunity for low income students to go to college drop drastically without aid to help them but likewise, if tuition and
prices were decreased and made more affordable, the number of students being able to attend college would drastically increase.
Transitions. The world we live in has many of them. Each of these transitions surround each our lives in different ways. A transition is a
representation of a process or period of change from one state or condition to a different one. Growing up is an important transition, a transition in
which we find ourselves and grow into the person we're supposed to become. "College is such a unique time, because...show more content...

Persuasive Essay On Raising Minimum Wage
Low minimum wages affects everyday families and lives, more than the average person would think. A small minimum wage could have an very
small effect on someone's life, such as not being able to afford a new pair of boots or that new phone, contradictory to this low wages could also
have a very serious effect on someone's life . Meaning that a parent or single individual could not support their family because a lack of income, it
could also mean the difference of living under a safe roof, or living in the streets. In 2016 alone, 40.6 million people in the United States
Contrary to these beliefs, I believe that raising the minimum wage will not only benefit the company and employee immensely, but overall increase the
productivity of workers. The raising of the minimum wage will help these low income families support their families, which decreases the poverty
level too. There's a very simple solution to a increasing poverty level, a raise in the federal minimum wage. People who live at or below poverty
level did not have the opportunity to develop job skills, build an education, or invest in financial assets. The little opportunity given to the low
poverty populate is due to the absence of a low income, and how many of them could only afford a minimum wage job. If an increase of minimum
wage was given, many low income workers could develop skills, that could help them progress in their career. Once these workers succeed in their
career, one could hope that they will go on a earn a education, or build their financial assets. These financial assets include loans, savings accounts,
and the purchasing of houses or other expensive items. An investment of these financial assets will led to an overall boost in the surrounding
economy and crime rates in the area. A federal wage increase has many benefits compared to cons, these benefits include: helping the life of low
income workers, who make up most of America, and the overall boost of the economy and the area surrounding it. An increasing minimum wage in
the workplace have both an economic gain for the company, and will produce a productive and dedicated worker. Not only will a company have
dedicated skilled workers if they raise the minimum wage, but

Billy Elliot Transitions
The process of transitions has the power to allow individual to seek new pathways in order to allow new opportunities to arise, challenging perspectives
and stereotypes, while ultimately growing as an individual. However, it is only through overcoming challenges, that a transition empowers the
individual to overcome hardships, gaining a deeper understanding of self, while developing strength and integrity. The film Billy Elliot positions the

Reflection Of A Persuasive Reflection
Reflection of a Persuasive Essay by Vickie Hale In my revision, I decided to incorporate actionable feedback from the feedback I received. The
feedback I received was that my essay needed more clarification, I choose to use this feedback to help make my argument more developed, I wanted to
create a better thought out essay and I worked on the clarification of my argument as well as renewed my research. With that, I did some critical
thinking to help work through the weak areas of my essay which was the structure and syntax. Therefore, I incorporated these suggestions because
they helped me to improve my essay and help me to create a more persuasive essay. Without these changes alongside the small revisions, I made, I do
not believe my essay would have been as well–written so they were much needed. My biggest challenges came from not being able to pin down my
argument, it took me a while to come find a side to an argument that wasn't vague. Because, I usually write in a creative way, which does not
necessarily have to be persuasive, I usually write fictional stories and people getting the understanding from the experiences of the characters is the
outcome, but with persuasive writing, you are trying to get your readers to not only agree with your side of the argument but to see what and why
you are arguing your side in the first place. This became difficult for me because I kept feeling like my argument was not central and a little vague.
I worked on trying to help my readers understand what and why I was arguing my side of the argument. I had to think about who was reading my
essay and this helped. What I could have done differently is choose a more central argument, I believe it would have reduced my challenges. This
question is hard for me to answer because I did not receive but one peer feedback, the feedback I incorporated concerning my exploration of the
issue was more clarification because that was one of the problems my peer review pointed out. I worked on my clarification because it is one of the
main elements, that is needed when you are writing a persuasive essay or any essay for that matter. Clarification gives the essay structure so your
readers can have a full understanding of your

Introduction
A. Attention Getter: Nearly one half of the world's population is living in poverty. Living in a low income household can have many influences on a
child's life, a large one being education.
B. Thesis Statement: To better understand how we can achieve education equality, we need to understand how poverty affects one'seducation, how it

A.Economic segregation is a problem in preschool classrooms across the country, according to the article "Let Rich and Poor Learn Together". Poor
children are being separated from the classrooms of the higher class children. Research shows that poor children do much better academically in
classes that are economically mixed than they do if the classes are more economically segregated. Research also shows that children who are well–off

Childhood Transition Essay

  • 1. Childhood Transition Essay Throughout life, I have faced many events that have helped my transition from childhood to adulthood. Some of these events have been small, while others have affected this transition more. The event that has made the biggest impact on my transition from childhood to adulthood occurred two years ago. In August of 2014, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, which was the worst thing to hear as a fourteen year old going into tenth grade. Being a student athlete and a hard working student in the classroom I knew what adversity felt like but nothing compared to this feeling though. Also, the fact that I am in accelerated classes, and one of a few in my grade that are in Project Lead The Way (PLTW) out of Rochester Institute of Technology (R.I.T.) • 2. Perseverance Essay What is perseverance? Perseverance is the ability to go on when things seem hopeless. It is also a measure of success, or at least how much sacrifice one is willing to make in the name of success. As students, it is impossible to achieve personal success without having a goal, or direction. The goal and direction that often propels us to achieve is perseverance. Perseverance is the ability to forge ahead despite setbacks that threaten to undermine all efforts to succeed. We are high school students and that means that the sense of urgency to strive for and to achieve personal success is now. With this urgency comes the expectation of having to persevere. This year has not been as easy one for us as a school body. We have been ...show more content... There is no shame in falling; the shame is in accepting the the fall as defeat. Nelson Mandella once said, "The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time you fall." That is the essence of persevering––finding the will to get up even though you know you are being counted out. Each day is a challenge for some of us. Some of you struggle to get up each morning and make it to school. But you find it within yourself to do because the hope of a better tomorrow compels you to do so. It is not easy to explain to teachers or other students that there was no one to wake you up and see that you were ready for school. The moment you leave your house and step on the bus, you are one step closer to realizing your dream, to fulfilling your purpose. That is what perseverance is. It is the finding the strength to do the impossible because you know that all things are possible. It is understanding that your tomorrow has great possibilities because of the steps you take today. I had a neighbor whose parents were divorced, but it seems like both parents divorced her. Her mother had custody, but she was seldom around. My friend raised herself. She gave a whole new meaning to the phrase "putting yourself through school", but she was in middle school. However, she had a dream of something better and it was evident that it required self–motivation and determination. We have all been called upon Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Persuasive Speech Adopting Animals My persuasive speech was to persuade people to adopt dogs and puppies from shelters and not to buy the animals from puppy mills or stores. I believe that my content was suitable to the audience because it not a broad topic. The topic also talked about animals and a lot of people enjoy dogs. I feel as if my content that I provided in my speech was appropriate because I used statistics to help back up my facts and it was all related to adopting rather than buying as a topic. I fell as if I had a lot of information and that I should have picked more specific points to talk about with my content that way I would have stayed in between the time limitations. I think that I used varied and interesting supporting material to back up my stance on...show more content... During my interview, I tried to concentrate on my strengths as a person and with my skills to acquire the job. With my speeches for the informative and persuasive I researched information about my topic and found the content I needed to perform my speech, such as the facts about the Denver Airport Conspiracy and the statistics of dogs in the shelters. I feel as if my content matter of speeches were what they needed to be. The organization of my speeches got better throughout the semester. I feel in the beginning of the semester I did not really know how to fully prepare an outline for my speech and to find credible sources, but by the time my persuasive speech rolled around I feel as I was able to stay organized while completing the project and while presenting it. My student organization skills grew during the semester. I was able to create a full sentence outline for my speeches and know what I need to say Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Persuasive Speech On Being Transgender Have you ever gone somewhere and felt completely out of place, like you didn't belong there? Maybe you have felt that way at a party, at the beach, at school, or maybe even just being on your own sports team? Transgenders have that feeling everyday, they often feel completely out of place in everything they do. They feel as if they're in the wrong body, and that they are not who they are supposed to be. Being transgender is about the gender someone identifies with, such as being born a boy but feeling like they should be a girl and actually identifying themselves as a girl or vise versa. Identity and expression are two of the most important factors in the way people see themselves and take part in their surroundings. When someone feels they are in the wrong body or not the person they feel they should be, their entire world feels upside down. When someone When someone decides to identify as a different gender than they were born with, a transgender, every aspect of their entire life can and does change. After changing genders their sports team can change, they have to deal with constantly being judged by their peers, switching their name, and even thinking about which bathroom they should use at school or in a public place. For example, last track season at Bay High, we were at a track meet against Niceville and the 4x400 relay was about to start, and a transgender boy, he was born as a girl but now identifies as a boy, had to run in the girls relay, the officials and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Preschool Transition Research Paper Many children attend both three and four year old preschool. If you plan on switching to a new preschool for next school year, make sure you spend some time preparing for the transition. If you allow your child to saw goodbye to their old school friends, and allow them time to adjust to their new preschool, this transition will be a lot easier. Inform Your Child's Current Preschool They Will Not Be Coming Back Let your child's teachers know that your child will be attending a different preschool in the fall. Although you are the ultimate expert on your child, your child's teacher may be able to offer insight into their learning abilities and social development in large group settings that you may not know. Let Your Child Know They Will Be Attending A NewSchool If your child goes to a preschool that follows the local academic calendar, inform your child as the end of the school year approaches that they need to say good–bye to all of their friends because they will be going to a new preschool in the fall. As the end of school year celebrations approach, make sure you celebrate your child's accomplishments and discuss that they will get to go to a new preschool next fall. If your child goes to a year–round preschool, you can count down the days that your child has left at their old preschool before they transition to their new preschool. You may want to talk to the staff and see if your child can bring in a special treat for the their class on their last day. • 6. Persuasive Essay About The Future What are you going to be when you grow up? The go–to inquiry of almost every adult in a child's life. It is asked almost in a whimsical way in the first few years; often met with innocently ambitious responses such as an astronaut or a deep sea diver. With most kids, myself included, the answer changed several times throughout grade school. My starry eyed dreams of becoming an archeologist soon shifted to architect, and then to wilderness firefighter, then soldier, policeman, engineer, and so on. I could be anything i could dream up in this world and i had forever to decide. However, there comes a point in every teenager's life where the question of the future starts to scare you. This distant future is now becoming a very real thing that needs to be figured out and planned, because it's almost time to make that next step. I've always heard it said that high school will be the quickest four years of your life. I had no idea just how fast until it was time for me to start preparing for the real world. Over the past two years, i've really done some "soul searching" so to speak, and I believe that i've found out what i'm going to do for the rest of my life. Now i know that whatever teacher got selected to read through the stacks of senior essays that contained my piece is probably laughing at that last bit. If only i knew right? But just hear me out. My goal is to become a pilot for the United States Marine Corps. From a very young age, the idea of flight has fascinated me. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Transitions Advantages And Disadvantages There are many parents who want to ensure their children live the best possible life imaginable. Some lives bring increased challenges through no fault of their own. The struggles life presents can provide hidden opportunities to not only increase their own quality of life but potentially others. The hidden values are not always seen by everyone, however that wasn't the case in the creation of Transitions. Society values demonstrates a mindset that individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or have other nonverbal learning disabilities do not have the potential to live a fulfilled life comparable to those of average ability. However, that is anything but true. When a parent of an individual with such diagnoses saw the...show more content... However, it became overwhelming when her high school education had concluded and those supports were not available anymore. Fortunately, Shaloni's career and experience offered her the ability to support and have access to resources to assist her daughter in obtaining the best life possible (Transitions, 2016). But, what about those parents who don't have the same supports and resources and want the same opportunities and successful outcome for their child? Transitions has been developed of offer children and young adults those resources and opportunities ultimately offering a better quality and fulfilled life. Transitions is a non–for–profit program under its parent company, Lexington. Lexington is the Fulton County chapter of the NYSARC, Inc. Lexington survives under the mission of providing the best possible support to children and adults with disabilities and their families, to be the best possible employer for its employees and to contribute to the community (About Lexington, 2017). Transitions functions with the purpose of advancing college and career success for students with learning differences (Transitions, 2016). There is some congruence of the two mission statements which shows the successful partnership of the two organizations. The Transitions program itself is a single site. It is co–located with the Paul Nigra Center for the Arts. The facility had been designed by Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Persuasive Essay On Success Goals, something every human being on this planet has and to reach those goals you must be successful. We set goals to fulfill our purpose in life, but to do that, you must be successful in meeting and completing those goals. "How Bad Do You Want It?" is a motivational speech that highlights the requirements of being successful. This speech is important to study because success is so vital and important for our survival as human beings, it changes the world. No matter your race, religion, culture, etc., you want to be successful and that will have a different definition for everyone, because only you can define what success means to you. "How Bad Do You Want It" encourages itsaudience to think differently about wanting to be successful and how to make it happen. This speech holds all the components Aristotle says a speech needs to be effective which include, persuasive, decorative, and informational, also meaning motivational, actionable, and fun (Morgan, 2016). While watching the football player perform each exercise repeatedly, I witnessed the effort and dedication he exerted through each set – this commitment resonated with me, as I am also an athlete who is expected to elicit these qualities. Not only hay, the video serves as confirmation that success is only attainable for those who want it bad enough and are willing to work for it. Even the background music playing provoked an internal motivation to be proactive. By delivering Eric Thomas's speech in his unique hip Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Persuasive Essay On Change In Life Life is a whirlwind of events, situations, and lessons all wrapped into one. There is no one way to live life correctly or to the greatest ability because each individual has a different perception of it. Throughout the whirlwind, some of the lessons learned may benefit or harm us but at the end of the day, life waits for none. Deciding to make a change in life can be one of the hardest yet most fulfilling things a person can do. Whether a life change is occurring because one wants to be healthier, or one wants to be more positive, the act can be intimidating at first. Although there are different ways to go about it, there are at least four key steps to achieving and making a successful lifestyle change and shift. The steps include acknowledging the problem and deciding on a new lifestyle or what change to make, thoroughly researching the lifestyle and what it takes to attain it, giving a layout or making a plan of the new lifestyle, and lastly having a self–reward system for the successful transition. As a person it can be hard to admit when there is a problem or to even acknowledge when there is a flaw within. Pride can be a preventative factor in making a lifestyle change but can be rewarding when overcame. The first step towards change is accepting one needs to be made. The solution lies within and finding it is as simple as self–realization of an issue. Being aware of the obstacles that hinder growth into a new lifestyle allows the opportunity to make the necessary changes, ultimately actuating the entire life changing process. Following the admission of a problem, one must decide what to do about it and what type of life to transition to. Whether the goal is to become more positive, lose weight, get better grades, or even have a better sleep schedule, the first step to achieving it is deciding to make the change. After finally making the decision to make a change within life, the journey continues on. When learning something new in class time is spent studying and researching the topic in order to further understand and comprehend it; the same logic is applied to a lifestyle change in the sense that the research done has to be even more thorough. Some situations may require tiny changes over time Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Veterans who are in uniform have a hard time transitioning to civilian life. Citizens believe that the government, like the Veteran Affair(VA), is helping veterans while others believe that the government has not made any improvements or adjustment to help the veterans in need and how the citizens of the world were right. The research will prove what the government is really doing for our veterans. A women named Michele A. A number of eight–two veterans who have died because of delays for medical treatments like colonoscopies or endoscopies. Some people like my father (Jason McLain), who is a retired veteran, believes that some doctors have their own personal bias toward veterans. Jason McLain stated, "When I go to the VA they do not help me as soon as I need their help. Although when I go to any other civilian doctor's office they help me right away with any of their help". A website by the name of Free Grants Community stated that success and failures of the Departments of Veterans Affair are frequently the subjects of political promises and debates. There are many places that can help with benefits or homelessness, simply anything veteran(active/retired) need. A six–year veteran stated that there are places to help but emphasizes that you have to pursue yourself. After you are done with the military to go back to school and to keep getting educated. • 11. Outline Of Persuasive Speech On Procrastination Scott Alex Suddoth COMM 2381 Outline for Persuasive speech 11/18/2015 Procrastination I.Attention Getter: A famous author by the name of Wayne Dyer once said, "Procrastination is one of the most common and deadliest of diseases and its toll on success and happiness is incredibly heavy."(1) In todays society it seems as if procrastination has become a normal and acceptable thing to do. It is often joked about amongst schoolmates and co–workers around the world. Nothing seems to get done until it absolutely needs to get done, then everyone runs around getting things done quickly and often times inaccurately. The trouble with this mentality however is that some things will never get done because something will come up tomorrow or the next day and what you are putting off now gets pushed even further back. Today I will persuade you to stop this habit from continuing. • 12. College Transition Drop. Drop. Drop. That's the rate of college students dropping out of college, or not attending in the first place. We get told from the start to attend college, but who can afford such an education without some type of loan and with the prices dramatically increasing each year? We get asked from when we're little to now, what we'd like to be when we're older. Lots of jobs require or encouragecollege backgrounds. With college tuition and prices increasing it makes the opportunity for low income students to go to college drop drastically without aid to help them but likewise, if tuition and prices were decreased and made more affordable, the number of students being able to attend college would drastically increase. Transitions. The world we live in has many of them. Each of these transitions surround each our lives in different ways. A transition is a representation of a process or period of change from one state or condition to a different one. • 13. Persuasive Essay On Raising Minimum Wage Low minimum wages affects everyday families and lives, more than the average person would think. A small minimum wage could have an very small effect on someone's life, such as not being able to afford a new pair of boots or that new phone, contradictory to this low wages could also have a very serious effect on someone's life . Meaning that a parent or single individual could not support their family because a lack of income, it could also mean the difference of living under a safe roof, or living in the streets. In 2016 alone, 40.6 million people in the United States Contrary to these beliefs, I believe that raising the minimum wage will not only benefit the company and employee immensely, but overall increase the productivity of workers. The raising of the minimum wage will help these low income families support their families, which decreases the poverty level too. There's a very simple solution to a increasing poverty level, a raise in the federal minimum wage. People who live at or below poverty level did not have the opportunity to develop job skills, build an education, or invest in financial assets. The little opportunity given to the low poverty populate is due to the absence of a low income, and how many of them could only afford a minimum wage job. If an increase of minimum wage was given, many low income workers could develop skills, that could help them progress in their career. Once these workers succeed in their career, one could hope that they will go on a earn a education, or build their financial assets. These financial assets include loans, savings accounts, and the purchasing of houses or other expensive items. An investment of these financial assets will led to an overall boost in the surrounding economy and crime rates in the area. A federal wage increase has many benefits compared to cons, these benefits include: helping the life of low income workers, who make up most of America, and the overall boost of the economy and the area surrounding it. An increasing minimum wage in the workplace have both an economic gain for the company, and will produce a productive and dedicated worker. Not only will a company have dedicated skilled workers if they raise the minimum wage, but Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 17. Reflection Of A Persuasive Reflection Reflection of a Persuasive Essay by Vickie Hale In my revision, I decided to incorporate actionable feedback from the feedback I received. The feedback I received was that my essay needed more clarification, I choose to use this feedback to help make my argument more developed, I wanted to create a better thought out essay and I worked on the clarification of my argument as well as renewed my research. With that, I did some critical thinking to help work through the weak areas of my essay which was the structure and syntax. Therefore, I incorporated these suggestions because they helped me to improve my essay and help me to create a more persuasive essay. Without these changes alongside the small revisions, I made, I do not believe my essay would have been as well–written so they were much needed. My biggest challenges came from not being able to pin down my argument, it took me a while to come find a side to an argument that wasn't vague. Because, I usually write in a creative way, which does not necessarily have to be persuasive, I usually write fictional stories and people getting the understanding from the experiences of the characters is the outcome, but with persuasive writing, you are trying to get your readers to not only agree with your side of the argument but to see what and why you are arguing your side in the first place. This became difficult for me because I kept feeling like my argument was not central and a little vague. I worked on trying to help my readers understand what and why I was arguing my side of the argument. I had to think about who was reading my essay and this helped. What I could have done differently is choose a more central argument, I believe it would have reduced my challenges. This question is hard for me to answer because I did not receive but one peer feedback, the feedback I incorporated concerning my exploration of the issue was more clarification because that was one of the problems my peer review pointed out. I worked on my clarification because it is one of the main elements, that is needed when you are writing a persuasive essay or any essay for that matter. Clarification gives the essay structure so your readers can have a full understanding of your Get more content on HelpWriting.net
