About Us
Frog Hollow Farm is a certified organic farm in
Brentwood, CA.
 We are located east of San Francisco in the fertile Sacramento
River Delta (about an hour's drive).
 Our farm is home to hundreds of trees which produce peaches,
nectarines, cherries, apricots, apriums, plums, pluots, Asian and
European pears, olives, persimmons, quince, apples and more.
Mission statement
 We are certified organic with C.C.O.F. (California Certified
Organic Farmers) and committed to sustainable practices.
Objectives
• Support a non-profit doing significant
work in the field of childhood obesity to
encourage a healthier next generation of
American citizens
• Promote organic fruit as a healthy
alternative to processed, high-sugar content
foods in a child’s diet.
Proposal
• Frog Hollow Farm would donate $1 from every order
placed online at www.froghollow.com up to $100,000 to
a non-profit doing significant work to eliminate
childhood obesity.
• Maximum donation: $100,000
• Minimum donation: $1,000 (guaranteed by Frog Hollow
Farm)
Qualifying Factors for
Selection
Qualifying Factors for Non-profit:
• Significant, noticeable work in the field of childhood
obesity
• Non-profit should clearly state how funds will be utilized
• Non-profit should have access to a third-party source to
control and validate the final donation sum

Childhood Obesity Awareness Month: September 2013

  • 1. September 2013: National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month
  • 2. About Us Frog Hollow Farm is a certified organic farm in Brentwood, CA.  We are located east of San Francisco in the fertile Sacramento River Delta (about an hour's drive).  Our farm is home to hundreds of trees which produce peaches, nectarines, cherries, apricots, apriums, plums, pluots, Asian and European pears, olives, persimmons, quince, apples and more. Mission statement  We are certified organic with C.C.O.F. (California Certified Organic Farmers) and committed to sustainable practices.
  • 3. Objectives • Support a non-profit doing significant work in the field of childhood obesity to encourage a healthier next generation of American citizens • Promote organic fruit as a healthy alternative to processed, high-sugar content foods in a child’s diet.
  • 4. Proposal • Frog Hollow Farm would donate $1 from every order placed online at www.froghollow.com up to $100,000 to a non-profit doing significant work to eliminate childhood obesity. • Maximum donation: $100,000 • Minimum donation: $1,000 (guaranteed by Frog Hollow Farm)
  • 5. Qualifying Factors for Selection Qualifying Factors for Non-profit: • Significant, noticeable work in the field of childhood obesity • Non-profit should clearly state how funds will be utilized • Non-profit should have access to a third-party source to control and validate the final donation sum
  • 6. Suggested Taglines • Select one from the following or another new one - • Eat Healthy. Eat Fruit. • Eating Right Is Good. Eating Organic, Better • Eat Right. Feed Right. Eliminate Obesity • Fight against Childhood Obesity. Are You Onboard?
  • 7. Marketing • Emails to Frog Hollow Farm’s Mail Order clients (<6,000) • Mention in Frog Hollow Farm’s CSA newsletter (<450) • Share with CUESA and other vendors • Print postcards and insert in every Mail Order shipment • Press release to media outlets (Frog Hollow Farm) • Handwritten letter to PR/VIPs by owner, Farmer Al Courchesne • Selected donee beneficiary to share news with existing donors • Donee beneficiary to use its own media connections to encourage people to participate.
  • 8. Frog Hollow Farm Project Outreach Frog Hollow Farm to reach out to other partners to contribute/match its collections: • Farmer Al to discuss proposal with Walter Robb (Whole Foods); • CSA director Jennifer Cooke to propose it to J. Crew’s Mickey Drexler via his assistant • Marketing Director Pearl Driver to reach out to Marcus Wainwright of Rag & Bone
