This document outlines the information system strategic plan for the Commission on Higher Education in the Philippines (CHED). The plan aims to better manage higher education through improved statistical information processing and dissemination. It details goals of better planning, student/parent choice, and quality/relevance of education. The conceptual framework outlines how the Higher Education Management Information System and CHED Office Management Information System will support these goals through collecting various data on students, programs, faculty, research and finances. It also describes developing knowledge management systems and several new information systems with associated costs. The strategic plan shows ongoing work to improve data collection, resources and information dissemination to help CHED achieve its aims.
