My clinical experiences at Help USA enabled me to make proper assessments of a mixed
population of men assigned appropriately and make all referrals. At Family Bodega, a project of
Family Justice, allowed me to work with families, parolees and probationers returning to New
York City Housing Authorities (NYCHA) from strength based approach. In trying to engage
these populations, I assisted in the location of re-entry programs, housing and employment
opportunities that would ensure the participant’s, of Family Bodega, receive all services he or
she needed or mandated to receive by the courts.
While working at Bowery Residence Committee (BRC), I’ve had many opportunities to work
under and assist Program Directors, Assistant Directors, Clinical Coordinators and many other
administrators with the completion of functional assessments, treatment plans, medication
management, interventions and intake.
Please allow me to identify my experience. I possess an Associate in Human Services and a
Bachelor Degree in Liberal Arts. I’ve completed 350 hours of CASAC Trainee credentialing.
Working for Family Bodega close to one year encouraged me to learn a new modality of
treatment services; while my tenure at BRC allowed me to partake in various trainings facilitated
by the Department of homeless services (DHS) and the office of mental health services (OMH).
