Dear Hiring Manager,
I would like to first express my gratitude for giving me the opportunity to present myself as a
possible applicant for the available Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital. As a new grad RN, I am very
motivated to venture into the next chapter of my nursing career. I believe being bilingual and my
extensive background in customer service and longevity in my past work experience will mark
me as an excellent candidate for the position.
I recently graduated from Kaplan College, San Diego campus from an Associate’s Degree in
Nursing, and obtained my license though the Board of Registered Nursing of California. Shortly
thereafter I took the initiative to enroll myself in a BSN program at Grand Canyon University.
Kaplan College provided me with all the tools and experiences to build a very strong nursing
foundation. I believe this to be important because in an actual RN role, I must continuously build
on this strong foundation in order to provide efficient, coordinated and safe care to patients and
staff. My foundation consist of performing thorough head to toe assessments and health histories,
ability to provide health promotions, counseling and education. Safely and properly
administering medication and wound care. Critically thinking and interpreting patient data in
order to act accordingly with proper interventions. I possess an abundance of leadership and
supervisory experience, through my previous skills, which allows me to respectfully and
appropriately direct and supervise care delivered by other healthcare personnel such as LVNs
and CNAs in order to maintain a pleasant and safe environment for my patient’s. I look forward
to building on my current knowledge and hopefully incorporating Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital as
the next chapter in my nursing career.
