This presentation discusses three common respiratory drugs: Afrin, a decongestant nasal spray used to relieve nasal congestion from allergies, colds, and sinus issues; Flonase, a corticosteroid nasal spray that reduces inflammation and treats rhinitis symptoms; and Allegra, an antihistamine tablet or liquid that blocks histamine to relieve allergy symptoms like runny nose and itchy eyes. Each drug is described in terms of its use, generic name, and potential mild side effects. References for more information are also provided.
