The animate subject is causing the action (
Ex: John opened the letter.
2- Direct object Affected ( participant )
The animate or inanimate object is not causing the action ( the
receiver of the action ) :
Ex: John broke the window.
Ex: John killed Mary.

3- Indirect object Recipient
The an animate participant ( object ) is not affected
completely by the verb of the sentence as the direct
object :
Ex: I’ve found you a place.
Here , a place is the part of the sentence that is affected
by the action of finding .

Subject complement can be :
A- Current attribute ( with stative
verbs )
Ex: He is my brother.
B- Resulting attribute ( with
dynamic verbs )
Ex: He became restless.
 Object complement Co
Object complement can be :
A- Current attribute ( with stative
verbs )
Ex: I prefer coffee black.
B- Resulting attribute ( with
dynamic verbs )
Ex: They elected him President.
