1. What are some of the ways to become a Critical Internet searcher?
 The first step to take its to search engines. Either staring with one of my favorite one
where I can find any information that I need, and that’s www.google.com or
www.wikipedia.com. A good hint it could learning about academic directories such as
www.lii.org which it’s the Librarian’s Index to the Internet. Also asking librarians about
unique search engines the college subscribes to such as LexusNexus and Info Trac.
Opening new websites or internet windows and experimenting with conducting the same
search on several search engines and comparing every result that appears on each one.
May be using a search tactic, like phrasing my searching in a natural language or any
keywords. Varying words order in my search term it could very helpful. Skimming sites
to evaluate their relevance and credibility. Trying to define the perspective from which
the site was created. Another very useful hint it could be saving the best sites or like my
favorite ones; copying and pasting the URL into an online notes program.
