Chapter 4: (Must/Mustn’t – Grade6/7)
Objectives:
Tell students they are going to watch a short
clip about how to grow your money.
Watch video “Grow money”
Must/Mustn’t – practice
Must
• bring a pen to class
• arrive on time
• listen to your teacher
• wear a uniform
• do your homework
Mustn’t
• Fight in class
• cheat in tests
• shout in class
• eat food in class
• bring pets to class
Without looking at the worksheet the students discuss what
things they must or mustn’t do in a museum. Feedback by
nominating some students to share their ideas.
In pairs, students reorder the words to make the correct rules.
Answers:
• a. You must be quiet.
• b. You mustn’t take photos.
• c. You must be careful.
• d. You mustn’t touch the exhibits.
• e. You mustn’t run around.
• f. You must follow the rules.
In pairs, students write some rules for the
swimmingpool / library. Fast finishers can check with
another pair. Feedback by nominating students to read
out their rules.
Possible answers:
Library:
• You musn’t eat or
drink.
• You must return the
books.
• You must speak
quietly.
• You mustn’t run.
Swimming pool:
• You must wear a
swimming costume.
• You mustn’t spit.
• You mustn’t run.
• You must obey the
lifeguards.

  • 5. Without looking at the worksheet the students discuss what things they must or mustn’t do in a museum. Feedback by nominating some students to share their ideas. In pairs, students reorder the words to make the correct rules. Answers: • a. You must be quiet. • b. You mustn’t take photos. • c. You must be careful. • d. You mustn’t touch the exhibits. • e. You mustn’t run around. • f. You must follow the rules.
  • 6. In pairs, students write some rules for the swimmingpool / library. Fast finishers can check with another pair. Feedback by nominating students to read out their rules. Possible answers: Library: • You musn’t eat or drink. • You must return the books. • You must speak quietly. • You mustn’t run. Swimming pool: • You must wear a swimming costume. • You mustn’t spit. • You mustn’t run. • You must obey the lifeguards.
