It involves input of raw data, processing to convert data into useful outputs, outputs in the form of documents and reports, and feedback to make changes to inputs or processing. A computer-based information system is a single set of hardware, software, databases, telecommunications, people, and procedures configured to collect, manipulate, store, and process data into information.
