This document discusses globalization and localization. It defines globalization as the increasing interconnectedness of the world through intensified flows of ideas, goods, and people. Globalization has been occurring for hundreds of years and has resulted in increased international trade and the growth of multinational corporations operating in many countries. Localization is the process of adapting products and services for different local audiences and markets while still allowing for global distribution. Despite globalization, local customs and identities are still preserved in many places through pop music, religious differences, and some resistance to global corporations.
