With the penetration of internet getting deeper by the day online shopping is gradually gaining momentum. Online shopping has several advantages some of them being sheer convenience, wider choice and better value. Management pundits have envisaged several models in online shopping. One of them is Brokers model. As per this model, the customer requests for goods by selecting the suppliers’ webpage, the supplier in turn solicits the details of the order, validates the credit card and checks the availability of goods. After this the supplier confirms the order with the customer and fulfills the same. This model is flawed owing to the fact that there is an oversimplification of interaction between customer and supplier. Further, Model 2 also called the customization model dwells on customer enjoying more choices. Model 3, also referred to as contact model talks of customer enjoying a higher bargaining power.

There are a set of steps in which typical wholesale e-commerce transaction is concluded. Initially, the buyer logs on to the browser, he then looks for the relevant product, selects the product and orders the same. Post this, a purchase order is sent to the seller which the seller confirms. Then payment information is sent to the bank. The credit is checked, the credit is approved and the product is finally shipped. Further, In a B2B supply chain a raw material supplier sends the raw material to the manufacturer who in turn sends the finished product to the wholesaler and the wholesaler transmits the same to the retailer. The retailer then generates a demand with the wholesaler when he anticipates a higher off take from the shelves which in turn gets transmitted to the raw material supplier.
Moreover, before a product reaches a consumer there are different objectives on each aspects of the value chain. Differentiation is the goal in product development while lowering the cost is the objective when it comes to manufacturing and distribution while marketing is all about carrying out a focused campaign.

Constraint and Qualitative Preference Specification in Multi-Attribute Revers...Shubhashis Shil
This document describes a multi-attribute reverse auction (MARA) system that allows buyers to specify both constraints and qualitative preferences for product attributes. The key aspects are:
1) The MARA system allows buyers to specify constraints and qualitative preferences for product attributes in an interactive way using simple syntax.
2) The system transforms the qualitative preferences into quantitative weights and utility values to evaluate bids using multi-attribute utility theory (MAUT).
3) The MARA system automatically calculates the weights and utility functions, eliminating the difficult task for buyers of determining these values themselves.
1) The document proposes a framework called MACOCO to enable online awareness of changes in the service market for both service providers and consumers.
2) In MACOCO, service providers and consumers are represented as active software agents that can negotiate on their behalf. Consumers can express requirements using abstract specifications that are concretized at runtime based on available market knowledge.
3) The framework aims to make providers collectively aware of market demands and opportunities, and keep consumers continuously aware of needed adaptations to support automatic maintenance of service-based systems.
Hello,
Are you facing the below mentioned challenges with regards to your Artworks.
•Artworks are scattered between company, agencies and printers
•It takes hours (sometimes days) to find the latest artwork
•Paper / Email based review process does not provide tracking and audit
•No idea where the artwork approval is stuck. Lots of manual follow-up
•No way to know if all stakeholders approved the final versions
•Manual proof-reading is error prone and means long inspection and approval times
•Inefficient collaboration through email and courier with Agency and Printers

1) The document discusses four approaches to studying channels of distribution: institutional, functional, managerial, and strategic.
2) It examines the functional approach which suggests that channel functions can be performed by different players to enhance power or profitability. For example, supermarkets allow customer self-service for cheaper prices.
3) The Internet revolution may fragment existing value chains and shift bargaining power as information monopolies become harder to maintain. This could create new business opportunities and branding challenges for companies.
The document outlines a proposed biosensor patch called Bio-Patch that uses microneedles and a microchip to enable continuous monitoring of biomarkers like insulin levels and wireless transmission of data. Enterprise tag management allows companies to more effectively collect and analyze customer data. Tag management systems (TMS) help companies implement tags across websites and applications to gather more types of customer data. With more data, companies can gain insights through predictive analytics. A TMS also allows changing how data is collected and analyzed in real time to test different algorithms and experiences. As data collection increases, TMS will transform how companies use customer data similar to how the printing press spread information. The next steps will be leveraging programmatic access to large data sets and creating real-time systems. Ultimately, an organization's ability to learn from data faster than competitors provides sustainable advantage.

Mindtree's expertise in corporate banking portals.Mindtree Ltd.
Online banking in corporate banks is still at a very nascent stage. Most banks provide minimum service through disparate online channels, across product lines. A majority of them are organized as per product lines – cash management, corporate finance and leasing. Each business unit tends to have it’s own customer channel. This makes it difficult for the CIOs / CMOs to present a unified and coherent user experience. Adding mobile to the mix only increases the woes of corporate users.
