This document discusses a study on using glass powder as a partial replacement for cement in concrete. It outlines the objectives, scope and significance of the project. The materials used and experimental work conducted are described. The procedures for the experimental work, sieve analysis and various tests are provided. The abstract summarizes that glass powder can be used to replace a certain amount of cement powder, as this is an environmentally friendly way to dispose of waste glass and does not negatively impact the strength of concrete. Fine glass powders are also shown to reduce the expansion of mortars due to alkali-silica reaction.
