CEC CONTESTS
* Overview:
CEC contests are held to celebrate special days and promote students’
special abilities. In this term, two competitions were successfully
organized: writing contest for Vietnamese Teacher’s Day and CÉC’s got
talent.
* Activities:
The writing contest was held in October, 2013. This year, CEC received a
great number of writings in both English and Vietnamese from nearly
one hundred candidates. Finally, one first prize, one second prize and
two third prizes were awarded for four outstanding faces for their
excellent works.
The second contest, CEC’s got talent, attracted many gifted students since
an online annoucement was posted on Facebook on May, 18, 2013. There
were ten contestants performing their talents for singing and playing
musical instruments. The competition ended up with one first prize, one
second prize and one third prize.
With many enthusiastic supporters, CEC will definitely organize more
contests for students to express their own special personality and talents
8. CEC TALKSHOW* Overview:
Talkshow is a regular activity which is held every month in a term. In a
talkshow, CEC invites the special guests to talk, to introduce or to share
knowledge about the new things which are useful for English learners.
* Activities:
With the aim of preparing and getting high score on an IELTS test, CEC
successfully held the Talkshows about IELTS’s topic. The strategies and
experiences of taking IELTS test were shared by the young instructors of
SFL: Ms. Tran Thi Ngan, Ms. Tran Thi Hai Yen, Ms. Tran Thi Thu HUong,
Ms. Pham Hung Thuyen who got impressing scores on IELTS test.
There were many students attending CEC’s talkshow. This number
increased gradually each time it was held, which was the clearly proof of
the attractiveness of CEC’s Talkshows.
The above Talkshows provided CECers and English learners of SFL with
the useful and valuable information about IELTS examination, which is a
big challenge for every student.
In the next term, CEC is promising to hold many other special Talkshows
with more professional activities
