• In a dynamic labor market, career paths cannot be accurately
predicted during schooling. However, school does have a formative
influence on young people’s understanding of themselves and the
world of work.
• Schools are not the only influence on young people’s career
exploration processes, but they can and do exert an influence on
young people’s approach to career.
• Career development can help with Retention, Academic Achievement,
Transitions, can positively influence Career/Life success.
