This document discusses cataloguing printed ephemera using RDA, focusing on a case study of the London Library's Per Nozze Collection. It notes that RDA instructions allow for more detailed descriptions of early printed resources, as determined necessary by the cataloguing agency for reasons such as age, rarity, fragility, or value as part of a collection. Effective cataloguing requires that users be able to distinguish between different manifestations and variations, investigate physical production processes and alterations, and perform identification and selection tasks without direct access to materials.
