A 43-year-old man presented with left hip pain when moving his thigh over the past week without any history of trauma. An ultrasound revealed a small amount of fluid in the left hip joint and increased blood flow in the surrounding muscles. A CT scan found nothing abnormal. An MRI detected what appeared to be avascular necrosis of the femoral head. The patient is asking for a comparison of the diagnostic value of ultrasound, CT scan, and MRI for evaluating his left hip pain.

The clinical signs and peculiar features of the pathology are: severe back pain, often accompanied by sciatica; saddle(joint)anesthesia; sphincter and sexual dysfunction; and lower limb weakness (Balasubramanian et al.,2010).The presence of all these signs simultaneously is not typically required for diagnosis(Cook et al.,2007). The clinical history and the neurological examination pave to the need for diagnostic confirmation through complementary exams such as computed tomography (CT) and the gold standard, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
Overuse injuries to the elbow in the throwing athlete are frequent. Ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction (UCLR), commonly known as Tommy John surgery, is performed on athletes from all levels of competition.
The purpose of this study is to review all ulnar collateral ligament reconstructions performed at a single institution between January 2004 – July 2014. The study reported patient demographics, clinical outcomes, return to sport rate and complications.

It mainly occurs with repetitive throwing motion which causes strain on medial collateral ligament and is known as Thrower's elbow.
Injury can be of two types: overuse & traumatic injury in which overuse ligament injuries are the commonest of all.
Due to muscular imbalance & faulty technique injury occurs.
Common complains are pain, bruising, tenderness over the medial side of elbow and felt during movement.

1. CASE 304: HIP PAIN, Dr PHAN THANH HẢI, MEDIC MEDICAL CENTER,
HCMC, VIETNAM.
Man 43 yo, one week ago, pain at his left hip while moving his thigh, no
trauma history.
Ultrasound first saw the left hip joint having a small amout of fluid
collection and more Power Doppler in muscles around the hip ( see 4 US
images).
2. MSCT was done but radiologist said nothing abnormal detected.
MRI detected abnormal head of left femur bone looked like aseptic
necrotic femoral head.
