Problem Understanding

Load Dispatch Planning & Optimization solution is sought-after in any supply chain for
•Determining the products-mix to be dispatched based on priority as per High, Medium, Low
•High priority products to be dispatched immediately OR same day as applicable.
•Day planning is more beneficial, as there is clear visibility on what to dispatch
•Optimizer has much bigger role to play, combining whole day loads to dispatch, determining
how many different type, size & their number is required resulting in operational efficiency
and logistic cost savings.
•Achieving optimal utilization of the container/vehicle as per weight and volume

With above, there are few common practical challenges to be namely
•Large number of SKUs in total, with varying packaging dimension and weight
•Planning is to be as per vehicle available and skus available at the time of arrival of vehicle
•Different orientation of the SKU on the vehicle (mostly it is either length wise or breadth wise)
•Heavier sku can not be placed on top of the lighter sku
•Upper placed sku should have surface area lesser than the lower placed sku
•Heavier SKUs to be placed towards driver cabin side on the vehicle
