Andrea Oscar Frisiero, Application Specialist – Indoor Air Quality and Climate Control e Andrea Pagan, Application Manager – Ventilation and Systems a MCE Live & Digital 2021.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Introduction
In the residential heating and cooling segment, the recent F-Gas and Energy
Labelling regulations are becoming the basis for choosing increasingly efficient
solutions with a low environmental impact. It is ever more necessary to design
flexible solutions for the heat pump market, with products that meet the main
demands in this sector:
• High seasonal efficiency (SCOP)
• Use of natural refrigerants
• Reduced energy consumption
• Compatibility with F-gas, Ecodesign and Energy labelling regulations

F-gas: overview
1. Restrictions: based on the GWP of the refrigerant.
2. Leak checking: the frequency depends on the tonnes of CO2 equivalents.
3. Quota: quantities of HFCs, expressed in CO2 equivalents, that producers and
importers of HFCs are entitled to place on the market according to the phase-down
steps.
CO2 equivalents = Mass of refrigerant × GWP
Example: If the charge is 2.4 kg of R-410A (GWP=2088):
2.4 × 2088 = 5000 kg of CO2 equivalents = 5 tonnes of CO2 equivalents

Editor's Notes
Quota: quantities of HFCs, expressed in CO2-equivalent that producers and importers of HFCs are entitled to place on the market according to the phase-down steps, compared to the average 2009-2012 European Union HFC consumption.
This is the trend of F-Gas requirements for next years. Please take note the next relevant jump will be at the end of 2020.
This is the trend of refrigerant prices in Italian market in the last 3 years. We tale Italian market as reference because it was easier to retrieve information from OEM and internal consultants. Please highlight how the prices are influenced by F-Gas quotes’ steps only for some refrigerant, the one with lower GWP are drastically less affected.
