It is our mission at the Maryland One-Stop Career Centers to
remain committed to supporting the economic stability of the
State by linking businesses and the work force, while also
providing high-quality, customer-focused employment
services. Like you, we are working towards an environment

our businesses and industries able to access a highly-skilled

9. Federal Bonding Program
What is a Fidelity Bond?
A fidelity Bond is a business insurance policy that
protects the employer in case of any loss of money or
property due to employee dishonesty. It is like a
“guarantee” to the employer that the person hired will
be an honest worker.

Who is eligible for the Fidelity Bond?
Ex-offender with a record of arrest, conviction or
imprisonment; anyone who has been on parole or
probation, or has any police record Recovering
substance abusers; persons rehabilitated through
treatment for alcohol or drug abuse.

11. Veterans Programs
We have structures in place for regular and ongoing
visits to businesses, veterans-specific providers and
partners across the region on behalf of the veterans
population needing employment services to include
private sector companies, local chambers of
commerce, county correctional facilities and libraries,
federal contractors, etc.

12. Veterans Program
The veterans staff will attempt to encourage
veterans to upgrade their job skills through
training and educational opportunities, and
make linkages to businesses/employers.
Veterans are linked to other pertinent resources.
Specialized services are offered to veterans with
disabilities.
