BUSINESS ANALYST

OVERVIEW
An effective and organized Leader with outstanding technical, analytic and problem-solving skills
with excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. The
ability to build solid working relationships with staff, management and outside vendors.
Creates/revises/executes the following deliverables using industry standard techniques as
applicable, including but not limited to: process maps, data flow diagrams, requirements
specifications, Use case or user story scenarios and acceptance testing.
DETAILS
 Analyzes complex cross functional business processes and defines integrated requirements.
 Define and document detailed business and functional requirements
 Collaborates with process owners to map and define and document current and future workflows
 Define and document test plans, coordinates and participates in Quality (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
 Ensure transfer knowledge to IT support when enhancements, modifications, and systems are promoted to production
 Capture, track, analyze and communicate requirement change requests to Project Manager
 Provide process improvement suggestions and create associated value proposition
 Creates wireframes, specifications, workflow diagrams, use cases or user stories to gain mutual understanding and
approval of specific business requirements
 Proven knowledge of software testing SDLC practices and quality assurance techniques
 Software troubleshooting skills
 Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
 Availability to work flexible hours as needed
 Ensures the end to end solution is proven to deliver the required business results
 Networks with the BA community to share best practice and develop BA competency
 Analyzing existing reports and identifying iteration metrics
 Prepare detailed spreadsheets and graphs to facilitate interpretation of data.
 Create compelling data visualizations and presentation decks to communicate findings to both internal and external
stakeholders.
 Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Proven track record in gathering and documenting quality business requirements
• Experience gathering requirements on existing complex and cross functional business
• processes with multiple system interfaces
• User interface design experience, adhering to Web design standards
• Superior negotiating and consensus building skills
• Excellent facilitation, listening, oral and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and strong attention to details
• Ability to support multiple initiatives concurrently
• Knowledge of content management and collaborations technologies
• Familiar with business process modeling standards, techniques and tools
• Understanding of with user-centric analysis techniques
