Overweight and obesity are global issues that have more than doubled since 1980. Poor nutrition, especially a diet high in carbohydrates, and lack of exercise are the main drivers of increasing weight worldwide. The metabolic balance program addresses this by recommending a diet with 3 meals per day, fewer and higher quality carbohydrates, and normal calorie intake instead of low-calorie or low-fat diets. An independent study found that over 60% of participants following the metabolic balance program lost over 5% of their body weight and maintained the loss for at least one year.
Over 80% of diets in India are protein deficient as the body cannot store protein like fats and carbohydrates. Protein Shakti contains a protein blend of whey protein isolate and micellar casein, as well as lecithin and steviol glycosides. Whey and casein proteins provide different benefits - whey is a complete protein that enhances human function while casein provides sustained slow release of amino acids. Lecithin and steviol glycosides also have health benefits. Protein Shakti increases lean body mass, builds and repairs muscles, provides energy, promotes hair growth, protects vital organs, and helps digestion.

Everything from asthma to allergies to sinus problems were cleared, confirming that bee pollen is wonderfully effective against a wide range of respiratory diseases.
Digestive System - In addition to healthful vitamins, minerals and protein, bee pollen contains enzymes that can aid in digestion. Enzymes assist your body in getting all the nutrients you need from the food that you eat.
Immune System Booster - Pollen is good for the intestinal flora and thereby supports the immune system. According to holistic health expert bee pollen has antibiotic-type properties that can help protect the body from contracting viruses. It's also rich in antioxidants that protect the cells from the damaging oxidation of free radicals.
Treats Addictions - Used holistically for healing addictions and inhibiting cravings by suppressing impulses. Because bee pollen crashes cravings, it is a very useful research is needed into this benefit, particularly when it comes to weight management.
Supports the Cardiovascular System - Bee Pollen contains large amounts of Rutin; an antioxidant bioflavonoid that helps strengthen capillaries, blood vessels, assists with circulatory problems and corrects cholesterol levels. Its potent anti-clotting powers could help prevent heart attack and stroke.
Prostate Aid - Men who suffer from benign prostate hyperplasia can find relief by using bee pollen. Bee pollen can help reduce inflammation to stop frequent urges to urinate.
Infertility Problems - Bee pollen stimulates and restores ovarian function, therefore may be used to assist in accelerating pregnancy. As well as being a hormonal booster.
This document discusses healthy weight management through efficient digestion and optimized metabolism using enzymes. It argues that modern diets lack enzymes from cooked and processed foods, over-exhausting the body's limited enzyme supply. This leads to imbalanced metabolism and improper weight management approaches. The document then introduces a 5-day revolutionary enzymatic weight management program using a proprietary enzyme-rich product. It claims the program provides rejuvenation, cleansing and boosted metabolism for natural weight loss of 2-3kg through nourishment and waste elimination while keeping hunger at bay.
This document provides information on how to remove cellulite through detoxification, training, and nutrition. It introduces cellulite and its causes, then discusses three key steps: 1) detoxifying the body of toxins that cause water retention and inflammation through dietary and lifestyle changes, 2) implementing a periodized strength training program to build muscle and tone the skin, and 3) following a balanced nutrition plan with adequate protein, fiber-rich vegetables, omega-3s, and vitamins/minerals to support the liver in removing toxins. Adopting this holistic approach targeting the underlying issues of cellulite through lifestyle modifications can help reduce body fat and produce smoother, leaner legs over time.
You can easily manage diabetes by following a healthful and balanced and enjoy the food which you love to eat. A healthy diet can also influence how well you feel.
Ketogenic diet or as some people prefer to call it; The Keto diet or low-carb...IbtissamMaher
The ketogenic diet or as like some people prefer to call it; the
Keto diet or low carb diet is about consuming a lot of protein
and fats but fewer carbs. This diet makes the body send the
fats that we consume to the liver, which the latter transform it
into energy to keep the body strong and active for a long time
without feeling tired quickly.

This document discusses various weight loss options and their drawbacks, and promotes an enzyme-based approach to weight management. It notes that most diets are ineffective long-term or have serious side effects. It then describes how digestive and metabolic enzymes are essential for life processes like digestion and metabolism. As people age and eat more cooked foods, their enzyme levels decline. The document promotes a 5-day plan using proprietary enzyme supplements from fruits and plants, probiotics, prebiotics, foods and minerals to optimize digestion and metabolism for effective, natural weight loss without pills or restrictions. It claims to help lose 2-3kg in 5 days through detoxification and rejuvenation while nourishing the body.
The document provides lifestyle and dietary recommendations for cholesterol reduction. It recommends avoiding stress, alcohol, smoking and fried foods. It suggests regular exercise including resistance training and wearing a pedometer. Dietary recommendations include limiting sugar and starchy carbs while emphasizing proteins like salmon and taking supplements like lipotrienols, foresterol and niacin before bed.
This document discusses the health benefits of juicing raw vegetables and fruits for weight loss and overall health. It states that juicing provides nutrients like vitamins, minerals, and proteins that support organ health, prevent diseases, boost immunity, and promote clear skin. Additionally, juicing can help lower cholesterol and aid in weight loss in a natural way. The document also explains that juicing is more beneficial than eating cooked vegetables because cooking destroys enzymes and juicing separates the liquid from the fiber, allowing more nutrients to be absorbed by the body.
This document discusses why diet foods and low-fat alternatives promoted in the 1980s may be contributing to higher obesity rates. It argues that replacing fats with artificial ingredients, sugars, and refined carbs causes more harm than good. Specific "better choices" are suggested for various diet foods and drinks, emphasizing whole, minimally processed foods like grass-fed meat and full-fat dairy instead of their low-fat or fat-free counterparts. Overall, it questions the conventional wisdom around diet foods, suggesting whole foods and moderate amounts of healthy fats are more conducive to health and weight management.
http://www.creativehealth.ca/ - metabolic balance is the fastest growing weight management program in Europe. The system is built on a foundation of your health makeup and lab blood work, providing you with a tailored program to help you either lose, gain, or maintain your weight.
Vegetarians tend to have lower cholesterol and heart disease rates due to their high fiber intake from plant foods. Soluble fiber, especially pectin found in apples, can lower LDL cholesterol by binding to and removing bile acids from the intestines. Consuming 15g of soluble fiber daily can lower cholesterol by 5-10%. Pectin also helps control appetite and weight by slowing digestion. High-fiber foods are often low in saturated fat, cholesterol and calories, though you need to watch out for high-fat toppings.

Pushing the Point: Integrating Acupressure & Oriental Medicine in Psychiatric...Dr. Jaclyn Engelsher, DNP
With the rising costs of care, decreased
reimbursement for services, and shortage of
mental health clinicians, patients and
providers are increasingly researching and
incorporating integrative therapies as part of a
holistic care plan. A review of the literature
revealed a growing evidence base for the
integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine
(TCM) therapies with allopathic medicine. This
has prompted nursing schools across the
country to include education on TCM in their
curriculums, encouraged hospitals and clinics
to add TCM therapies to their list of
psychiatric services, and resulted in
development of new protocols for addiction,
PTSD, and pain management. Acupressure, a
component TCM, is a non-invasive, integrative
modality that can help alleviate common
symptoms such as stress, anxiety, depression,
mental fatigue, and insomnia, while reducing
barriers of cost, time, and deleterious
medication side effects frequently found in
PMH treatment. A basic understanding of TCM
theory is necessary for nurses to teach and
use acupressure effectively in the inpatient
and outpatient settings. The session will
review the function and energetics of common
acupoints easily integrated into
Psychiatric/Mental Health nursing practice,
provide a live demonstration of acupressure
techniques, and include supervised practice
time to develop beginning skills and
experience the benefits.

This document discusses paradigms and principles of a healthy mind and body. It defines paradigm as the way we see the world and how our perceptions influence our interpretations. Having the wrong map or mindset can negatively impact our behavior and attitudes, even if we try positive thinking. Seeing situations differently can help alleviate irritations and change how we view problems. Ultimately, our mindset or paradigm shapes how we understand and respond to the world around us.
The document discusses acupressure and acupuncture. It defines acupressure as applying manual pressure to specific points on the body, while acupuncture involves inserting thin needles into points. The document outlines the basic principles of Chinese medicine that acupressure and acupuncture are based on, describing the flow of energy through meridian pathways and how blockages can cause illness. It provides details on administering acupressure and acupuncture treatments, their mechanisms of action, effects, instruments used, precautions, and implications for treating mental illness.
The document discusses neurotransmitters, including their definition, life cycle, mechanisms of action, classification, and role in mental health. Neurotransmitters are chemicals that transmit signals between neurons. They are classified as cholinergics, monoamines, amino acids, neuropeptides, purines, and gases/lipids. Imbalances can be caused by various factors and influence conditions like depression, Alzheimer's, and schizophrenia. Diagnosis involves identifying symptoms and testing neurotransmitter levels. Drugs can alter neurotransmission by agonizing or antagonizing neurotransmitter receptors. Nurses play a role in assessing patients and supporting neurotransmitter balance through diet, supplements, education, and rehabilitation.
This document discusses family health nursing. It begins by outlining the need for a family focus in health care.
