The 4-year development plan of the Civil Engineering Department aimed to achieve several targets and priorities by 2016, including establishing engineering laboratories, strengthening extension programs, developing instructional materials, and preparing for program accreditation. An assessment found that while some targets were fully or partially met, such as establishing two new laboratories and developing instructional materials, others were not implemented, such as training faculty for K-12 transition and registering a student organization nationally. The plan supported improving higher education services and pursuing accreditation. Final assessment of progress will be provided pending accreditation results and exam performance.

ASSESSMENT OF THE 4 – YEAR CED DEVELOPMENT PLAN
DUBBED AS “OPLAN LEVEL ONE @ SEVEN”
Background:
Targets are indices for planners to achieve or even surpass to measure performance from previous accomplishments and would serve as benchmarks to take-off a bigger
project or a plan. In the case of the CED – Civil Engineering Department, a development plan was crafted by the CED faculty stipulating therein the varied programs, activities
and projects to be accomplished until SY 2016. Indeed, the said devplan was focused on the department’s tagline: “Oplan Level One @ Seven”. Along this line, all the PAPs of
the department are anchored to hit the minimum point in the different areas of AACCUP accreditation. Eventually and with the end in mind, the BSCE program of the college
will be accredited level one (1) by 2016 and by this time, the program will be on its seventh (7th) year of operation in the college. In addition, the said Civil Engineering
Department Development Plan (CED Devplan) was first crafted during the first quarter of the year 2013 following the first Strategic Planning Activity held by Dr. Nieves A.
Dacyon , the College President, at the then Accreditation Center. The Devplan has translated some significant points discussed during the said planning with the aim to support
the administration on its programs and plans to eagerly induce change in the institution.
