Alpha Infiniti took the energy storage challenge and our young team toiled for more than
2 years in developing a manufacturing ready battery technology.
"We can demonstrate that we have got a battery that’s significantly less expen-
sive than lithium-ion, eliminate electric range anxiety and can perform safely over
a long lifetime with limited degradation, that’s attractive to people”, delivering the
future of Electric Vehicles today.
Zinc-air can become the de facto battery for electric vehicles as it would cost 1/10th the
Li-ion battery and can provide longer driving range of 1600km per charge.

Alpha Infinity Electric has developed a breakthrough “Metal-Air” battery technology for
Electric vehicles and Grid energy storage applications. The battery is based on Zinc-Air
technology. Our laboratory prototype has achieved 10,000+ charge-discharge cycle life
tests. Projected to last for 15+ years before reaching 80% of its rated capacity. This is a
breakthrough in Zinc-air batteries as competing research laboratories have only
achieved a few hundred cycles without degradation.
Alpha Infinity Electric is creating a winning technology that will create
and maintain an advantage in the following differentiators:
■ Cost. Zinc based battery technology keep costs down, using fundamentally less
expensive materials, designs, and manufacturing methods. Zinc-air battery costs
1/10th that of a Li-ion per kWh : $20 vs $200 per kWh. A new zinc battery manu-
facturing plant will also be Ten times less capital intensive than a Li-ion ($5mil-
lion vs $50million).
■ Energy density. Successful battery technology for the future needs should
leverage materials and components that improve energy density, making them
key to the ubiquitous adoption of electric vehicles and renewable energy. A zinc
battery is three times as energy dense as Li-ion (600Wh/kg vs 200Wh/kg).
■ Safety and cycle life. A better battery technology must use materials that pre-
vent or slow degradation to extend product life. A zinc battery can last upto 20
years without major degradation, compared to a 8 year lifetime of Li-ion. One of
the major concerns with current Li-ion is risk of explosion and flammability when
used in Electric vehicles. Zinc battery chemistry is inherently safe and non com-
bustible, making it a safe choice for wide range of transportation and grid energy
storage applications.
■ Charging time and convenience. Consumers expect significant increases in
charging speed and/or cycle life extension; and Li-ion being a flammable product
cannot go beyond certain threshold of charging speeds. When fast charging is
needed, Zinc battery can be charged as quickly as 15 minutes and yet the bat-
tery lifetime would not be affected.
■ Value Capture. The Zinc-Air battery technology creates business models that
enable maximum exploitation and capture of value of the electrical energy stor-
age capability of particular technologies in specific use cases, especially in elec-
tric vehicles and grid-connected applications, which are globally estimated to
account for $90Bn and $10Bn markets annually by 2025.
The market demand for an affordable EV will grow exponentially from 2020 to 2025.
Electric vehicle prices will match those of internal combustion engine vehicles with the
help of Zinc-Air battery technology. Once this happens, a tectonic shift in Global sales of
Evs will take place. Economically, developing countries will get a huge boost when its
people can run vehicles at 1/5th the cost of gasoline by switching to electric. Zinc-Air
batteries enable mass electrification with 1/10th the cost of existing batteries and a dri-
ving range of 1600km per single charge. ‘Alpha Infinity Electric’ Battery technology will
reduce fossil fuel dependence in less than 5 years and make the air we breathe cleaner.
Zinc-Air battery will reduce the usage of expensive Li-ion battery which is known for be-
ing toxic during mining, production and disposal.
