What are the factors that limit the 
usage of Moodle in teaching English 
language for second language learners 
in the English Department at Sultan 
Qaboos University in the academic year 
2013/2014?
Developing instruments

Interviews in Collage of Education. 
Previous research studies.

Building a valid and reliable questionnaire. 
Distribute a questionnaire in the English 
Department.
Factors

Moodle knowledge and skill 
Teachers’ attitude towards technology and 
Moodle. 
Internet Access 
Institution Support
Results 
 
Good attitude towards technology. 
Negative attitude towards Moodle. 
Age, gender and specialization factors 
couldn’t be measured due to the small 
sample.
Reults 
 
Internet connection factor doesn’t have an 
influence in the usage of Moodle. 
Teachers’ are not supported by the institution 
and for that they lack knowledge and skills.
