8. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
A multi-level classroom is a type of classroom where one teacher is responsible for
teaching students of different grades or age groups. This type of classroom is typically
found in small or rural schools with limited resources or insufficient student numbers to
support separate classes for each grade level.
Class teachers in multi-class classrooms face several challenges that can make teaching
more complex and demanding than in single-class classrooms. One of her challenges is that
teachers must develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all students,
regardless of grade level.
The reseacher wants to determine the difficulties faced by multigrade teachers in a multi-level
classroom.

Quipper is an educational technology company that provides a variety of
digital learning solutions for students, teachers and schools.
The researcher is motivated to determine the negative and positive impact
of using Quipper among pupils academic performances.
Factors that can influence academic performance in primary school include
quality of instruction, curriculum, classroom environment, parental
involvement, and individual student factors such as motivation, learning style
and prior knowledge.
