Chris O'Brien - Introduction to the SharePoint Framework for developersChris O'Brien
Describes the new SharePoint development framework, which uses Gulp, node.js, TypeScript, SASS and other modern web technologies. Covers client web parts, modern pages and the canvas, and how to surface your files on a CDN for optimum performance. This intro presentation helps you get started.
With the advent of NextGen portals, Office 365 becomes less of a box of building blocks and more of a collection of destinations: turn-key solutions ready for you to use. But how will your users reach all those destinations and where should they depart from? In this session we will take a look at how to build a solution that integrates information from NextGen portals and offers your users a starting point for their journeys bringing the most relevant information to their finger tips.
In this session, we are going to brand a SharePoint site from start to finish. We will use SharePoint Designer, HTML and custom CSS to design a site how not to look like SharePoint. We'll touch upon themes, page layouts as well as master page design. As well as learn how to upgrade a SharePoint 2007 design to SharePoint 2010.
This session is focused on designers well versed with HTML and CSS but might not have the SharePoint development experience. Within the session, we'll also look at usability, accessibility and best practices on branding SharePoint public facing sites.

Real World Add-in Development for Office365Brian Culver
Building Add-ins for Office 365 requires many new skills and knowledge. For those new to SharePoint and all SharePoint veterans, building add-ins and apps for Office 365 introduces a huge paradigm shift over the full-trust development model. Full-trust development is on its way out whether we like it or not. In this session, we will learn how to create real world add-ins and apps deployable on Office 365. Learn to build SharePoint-Hosted add-ins/apps and Provider-Hosted add-ins/apps that will leverage various Azure services to create robust solutions, including Azure Web Sites, Azure Web Jobs and more. We will demonstrate and build a couple apps to explain and demonstrate many of the key Azure Services. The future is today. Don’t pass up this opportunity to learn the skills and knowledge you need to build SharePoint Add-ins and App solutions for Office 365.
Attendee Takeaways:
1. Understand the difference between full-trust solutions, sandbox solutions and add-ins/app solutions.
2. Create real world add-ins and apps deployable on Office 365 and On-premise SharePoint.
3. Build SharePoint-Hosted add-ins/apps and Provider-Hosted add-ins/apps.

The slide talks about getting started with SharePoint Framework Web parts - A session on this topic was given @ Global Office 365 Developer Boot camp Coimbatore
We all build different project sites during the years, and also used the content by query web part to lift up the different projects we was part of, but how can we achieve the same in Modern SharePoint.
In this session we will:
Use Hub sites as the home of our Projects,
Create a Project template with Site Design and Site Scripts,
Enable a flow to add some more magic.
Look at different web parts both from Microsoft and from the community to help us lift up our Project Sites.
Ensure it is is all security trimmed so that we don’t see more then we have access to see.
Really Cool!
And we will also make sure that our Projects are teamified so that we also can access them from Microsoft Teams, and with prepopulated content, so our Project Managers can start to work immediately So lets build the new Project Hub together.

SharePoint 2013 Web Content Management for Developers TSPUGEd Musters
As presented to the Toronto SharePoint User Group on March 20, 2013. With powerful new content search capabilities, metadata driven navigation, and new features such as design manager and cross site publishing, this presents a paradigm shift for developers with a focus on WCM publishing sites (intranet, internet). These new features and capabilities will be presented at an introductory level during this talk. The session will then focus on your typical Visual Studio “Publishing Solution” in SharePoint 2010. How do you get this running on a SharePoint 2013 Farm “as is” (migration)? What is involved if I want to convert my existing visual studio solution to SP 2013 developer tools and then fully over to the SP 2013 publishing paradigm? We’re already in development of a SharePoint 2010 site - can we deploy SharePoint 2013 now or should we wait? This session will provide insight into how you should develop today, and be ready for the new world that awaits in SharePoint 2013!

Developing Distributed High-performance Computing Capabilities of an Open Sci...Globus
COVID-19 had an unprecedented impact on scientific collaboration. The pandemic and its broad response from the scientific community has forged new relationships among public health practitioners, mathematical modelers, and scientific computing specialists, while revealing critical gaps in exploiting advanced computing systems to support urgent decision making. Informed by our team’s work in applying high-performance computing in support of public health decision makers during the COVID-19 pandemic, we present how Globus technologies are enabling the development of an open science platform for robust epidemic analysis, with the goal of collaborative, secure, distributed, on-demand, and fast time-to-solution analyses to support public health.

Exploring Innovations in Data Repository Solutions - Insights from the U.S. G...Globus
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has made substantial investments in meeting evolving scientific, technical, and policy driven demands on storing, managing, and delivering data. As these demands continue to grow in complexity and scale, the USGS must continue to explore innovative solutions to improve its management, curation, sharing, delivering, and preservation approaches for large-scale research data. Supporting these needs, the USGS has partnered with the University of Chicago-Globus to research and develop advanced repository components and workflows leveraging its current investment in Globus. The primary outcome of this partnership includes the development of a prototype enterprise repository, driven by USGS Data Release requirements, through exploration and implementation of the entire suite of the Globus platform offerings, including Globus Flow, Globus Auth, Globus Transfer, and Globus Search. This presentation will provide insights into this research partnership, introduce the unique requirements and challenges being addressed and provide relevant project progress.

First Steps with Globus Compute Multi-User EndpointsGlobus
In this presentation we will share our experiences around getting started with the Globus Compute multi-user endpoint. Working with the Pharmacology group at the University of Auckland, we have previously written an application using Globus Compute that can offload computationally expensive steps in the researcher's workflows, which they wish to manage from their familiar Windows environments, onto the NeSI (New Zealand eScience Infrastructure) cluster. Some of the challenges we have encountered were that each researcher had to set up and manage their own single-user globus compute endpoint and that the workloads had varying resource requirements (CPUs, memory and wall time) between different runs. We hope that the multi-user endpoint will help to address these challenges and share an update on our progress here.

Understanding Globus Data Transfers with NetSageGlobus
NetSage is an open privacy-aware network measurement, analysis, and visualization service designed to help end-users visualize and reason about large data transfers. NetSage traditionally has used a combination of passive measurements, including SNMP and flow data, as well as active measurements, mainly perfSONAR, to provide longitudinal network performance data visualization. It has been deployed by dozens of networks world wide, and is supported domestically by the Engagement and Performance Operations Center (EPOC), NSF #2328479. We have recently expanded the NetSage data sources to include logs for Globus data transfers, following the same privacy-preserving approach as for Flow data. Using the logs for the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) as an example, this talk will walk through several different example use cases that NetSage can answer, including: Who is using Globus to share data with my institution, and what kind of performance are they able to achieve? How many transfers has Globus supported for us? Which sites are we sharing the most data with, and how is that changing over time? How is my site using Globus to move data internally, and what kind of performance do we see for those transfers? What percentage of data transfers at my institution used Globus, and how did the overall data transfer performance compare to the Globus users?
