This document describes Miel de Tierra, a small-batch artisanal mezcal produced in the villages south of Zacatecas, Mexico. Miel de Tierra uses virgin oak wood to craft barrels for aging the mezcal, which imparts a distinctive "honey" flavor to the finished product. It has won awards including a double gold medal for best tasting mezcal in 2014. The mezcal is produced in limited batches of 504 bottles and each bottle is individually numbered to trace its origin.
