Business International Between Cuban And Usa Case Study
Topic: Business international between Cuba and USA
Introduction
To understand about Cuba before doing business in or with that country is important know
geographical location, its form of government including their trade relations, the political context
and its location in world geopolitics, its population, language, culture, use of technology, labor, its
financial system in economic terms and of course it s kind currency and exchange rate.

Intelligence officials in US are closely studying Soviet technology of the era of the Cold War to
determine whether an electronic weapon was used in the acoustic attacks that took place in Havana
from late 2016 until last August.
The US researchers are still not sure who was right behind the apparent attack, but a former US
intelligence has as main theory that what happened was work of Cuban intelligence, possibly even
a deserter faction of Cuban spies waiting derail restored diplomatic relations between Havana and
Washington.
This is important to consider when thinking of doing business with that country and from my point
of view is not desirable at this time until the relationship between United States and Cuba are fully
and officially defined.
Labor force participation labor is mainly in the estate sector (72.3%) and 27.7% in the nonstate

The Clean Water Act ( Cwa )
In 1972 the Clean Water Act (CWA) was passed, and it established the infrastructure for waste
water management in the U.S. The CWA s main objective is to recover and preserve the physical,
biological, and chemical purity of water. The CWA formed a program that would ensure
communities had clean water by limiting the exposure of contaminants in U.S. waterways. Waste
water treatment is essential to the world because it gives people ability to use streams and rivers
for swimming, fishing and drinking water. In the early part of the 20th century, pollution in the
U.S. urban waterways caused negative side effects like fish kills, low dissolved oxygen, bacterial
contamination, and algal blooms. Early attempts of controlling water pollutionkept human waste
from contaminating water supplies or reduced floating junk that hindered shipping. Problems with
Pollution and control were mainly local concerns. Industrial and population growth have increased
the requirement for natural resources, changing the situation drastically. Advancements in
decreasing pollution can hardly keep in front of the increase in population, development of
technology, adjustments in industrial processes, business breakthroughs, increased land use, and
several other factors. The growth in both the variety and quantity of goods manufactured has
greatly altered the size and complexity of waste produced by industries and it challenges standard
treatment technology. The use of pesticides and commercial

Freud Vs Erikson Research Paper
Sigmund Freud s psychosexual theory and Erik Erikson s psychosocial theory are two important
and well known psychoanalytic theories on human development. Both theories are often
compared and contrasted in developmental studies. Like Freud, Erikson also believed that
human development occurs in a series of stages of a person s life. However, Freud s theory
focuses on basic needs and biological impulses like the need for food and sexual behaviors in the
early stages of life. While Erikson s theory emphasized on environment experiences and social
interactions throughout the early and later stages of life.
In the first year of development, the oral stage by Freud and the trust vs. mistrust stage by Erikson,
both psychologists believed children develop a sense of trust during this stage. Whereas through

In the 2nd stage, year 1 to 3, Freud described this as the anal stage and Erikson described this as
autonomy vs. shame and doubt. Both believed children develop the sense of independent at this
stage. During the 3rd stage, ages 3 6, we begin to see the differences in both Freud s and Erikson s
theories. Freud called this stage the phallic stage. During this stage Freud believed children begin
to develop pleasure in genitals, recognize their gender and develop self esteem. Erikson referred
this stage as initiative vs. guilt as children begin their preschool years. Children begin to face new
challenges, explore beyond themselves and develop a sense of initiative. If criticized or punished
they begin to feel guilty for their actions. Ages 7 to 11 is the 4th developmental stage. Freud

Natural Gas Grills
Natural gas grills eliminate the cost of buying propane by plugging directly into your natural gas
line. Natural gas is a cheaper option and also environmentally, a better option because it is
classified as a greenhouse gas. The initial cost of gas plumbing and installation can be expensive,
but you do save money over time. Size is one thing you need to consider when buying an outdoor
grill. How big is your patio or deck where the grill is gonna go? Also, are you the average griller,
cooking mostly chicken and steak? Or do you grill bigger meats more regularly? Obviously the
size of the grill matters, so really evaluate your options. A grill s primary square inches refers to the
size of the main cooking grate. The higher the number, the

Underdogs in of Mice and MEn
Analysis of Underdog Characters in Of Mice and Men
A guy needs somebody to be near him. He whined, A guy goes nuts if he ain t got nobody... (John
Steinbeck 72). Love and belonging, is the third most important need in Maslow s Hierarchy of
Needs. As human beings, being a part of something is crucial to our development as a person.
People can go insane if they live a life of isolation. In John Steinbeck s novella, Of Mice and Men,
the characters of Candy, Crooks, and Curley s wife are driven into isolation by the prejudice of
society, physical shortcomings, and their own self destructive tendencies. ... He says he was gonna

Crooks yearns for friendship from anybody. Crooks has been treated so badly, that when people
are kind to him he is suspicious. For example, when Lennie comes to visit Crooks in his living
quarters, he is not very welcoming. Lennie smiled helplessly in an attempt to make friends.
Crooks said sharply, You got no right to come in my room. This here s my room. Nobody got
any right in here but me. (Steinbeck 68). As a black man, he is discriminated. This
discrimination is made worse because he is crippled. Even those who are frowned upon by
society harass him. Listen, Nigger, she said. You know what I can do to you if you open your

Big Sort Phenomenon Analysis
One of the more troubling aspects of the roots of the big sort phenomenon was the role that the
ways we view the role of our representatives plays into exacerbating the big sort phenomenon.
Around page 72, the author describes how when communities or constituents demand their
representatives to cater to their specific demands, then that can inflame the massive problems of
radicalization in politics. It reminded me of the two different kinds of representation that I learned
about in my high school civics class. Most people look at their representatives as a form of the
delegate model of representation wherein the representative acts as a mouthpiece of the
constituency and they have no real ability to sway from public opinion. This type of
representation is the certainly the most well known type. It s why we as constituents call, email,
or meet with our representatives. We make our voice heard so they know how to vote. Most of us
look at this form of representation as a good thing, yet the author points out that it is one of the
many roots to the problem of the big sort. When communities are already being more and... Show

This model suggests that constituents give their authority to representatives and entrust them to
work on policy to the best of their ability. This model tends to facilitate the dialogue that is
necessary to avoid problems with radicalized and hyper polarized politics. Representatives aren t
just supposed to go to Washington to talk past one another. Instead, this model generally allows for
compromise to be met. Personally, some of my favorite Congressmen adopt the trustee model of
representation, which allows them to have a back and forth with not only their constituencies but
the nation as a whole. It shows that one of the roots of the big sort is the political mindset that
voters have on how representatives should

Improving The Quality Of Healthcare Services
Introduction
In the United States the healthcare system is influenced by the cost and the quality of services
delivered to its citizens. The cost in healthcare refers to the services rendered, production or actual
money spent on services provided. Quality in healthcare is defined as measurable standard for
services provided. In healthcare, both the cost and quality are dependent on each other and the
initiatives can be regulated by a public or private agency.
Healthcare Agencies
The Department of Health and Human Services is a public agency. It has several operating

The standards focus on important patient, individual, or resident care and organization functions
that are essential to providing safe, high quality care (Joint Commission,2017, Standars:para1). The
Joint Commission focuses on quality and efficiency to provide safe patient care. Ideally, the quality
measures are able to maintain the high standards without raising the costs of healthcare services.
Healthcare Initiatives
The Department of Health and Human Services has six quality strategy goals:
safer care by reducing harm caused in the delivery of care
strengthening the person and family engagement as partners in their care
promoting effective communication and coordination
promoting effective treatment of chronic disease
working with communities to promote best practices of living healthy living
making health care affordable (Department of Health and Human Services, 2016, Quality Card).
Through its Healthcare cost and utilization project the Department of Health and Human Services
is able to manage costs while simultaneously providing quality care. The project is a database and
related software tools that enables research on o broad range of health care issues, including cost

How Does Global Warming Affect The Arctic
Our earth is undergoing a lot of changes caused by Global warming. This is a world issue that
impacts the whole earth. Polar regions are very sensitive to these changes in temperatures. Global
warming is affecting climate change on Arctic species and is likely to be felt globally. The
average temperature increase annually in the arctic is almost twice the global average. This is
causing any problems, some of which will be discussed further on.
Global Warming is affecting the climatein the Arctic in many drastic ways. Animals such as the
Polar bear are having their habitat disappear at an alarming rate. This is causing many of them to
starve as their ice platforms are melting. These platforms allow the polar bears to hunt deep into the
waters providing rest breaks as well as cover for hunting. Krill, a major food source are also

Arctic sea levels are increasing by a lot and are predicting to change global climate and
precipitation patterns. Melting ice is expected to cause ocean water to speed up and oceans water
to rise. This will cause some areas of land to be affected from the rise in sea level.
Global warming is caused by human activities like burning fossil fuel, deforestation and farming.
This is also known as the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect has much stronger results in
the arctic as small changes in temperature have very strong reactions. While average temperatures
have increased, the warming at the pole has more than doubled the global average. According to
NASA, arctic sea ice is now declining at a rate of 13.2% per decade.
What will our earth look like in 50 years?

Gerard David Virgin And Child With Four Angels
Gerard David created his oil on wood painting Virgin and Child with Four Angels from 1510 to
1515 in Bruges, Netherlands. The piece is currently located at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in
New York City and is found in Gallery 640 as part of the museum s collection of European
paintings. Just as the title indicates, the painting s subject is the Blessed Virgin Maryholding her
infant son JesusChrist, the prophesied Messiah of the Old Testament, while being crowned by
angels. Through the use of formal artistic techniques, David conveys the miraculous and perfect
nature of the Mary, stressing her importance as the Mother of God and the Queen of Heaven in a
realistic and relatable manner.
Throughout the Virgin and Child with Four Angels, David employs the use of color to emphasize
the miraculous nature of the religious subject matter. From the ornate jewels of the crown to the
ruby red color of Mary s gown to the amethyst purple sash of the angel in the upper right, the
application of rich jewel tones induces a sense of royal holiness to figures. Their brightness and
warmth successfully draw the viewer s attention to figures possessing them and generate an
atmospheric serenity to the scene. Additionally, the subtle flushness of the figures ... Show more

At the top of the work, the angels are holding a crown, which is typically perceived as a symbol
of royalty, honor and/or glory. Hence, this symbol represents the glory of Mary as Queen of
Heaven and as the virgin Mother of God, which can be seen as worthy of both honor and praise.
Another symbol is in the middle ground of the piece, where a monk is praying in the field by the
stone wall. In Christianity, monks live solemn lives of prayer and service, completely devoted to
spreading the Word of God in the Christian Gospel. Therefore, the monk s presence creates a sense
piety and holiness in the scene, which lends well to the religious

A Comparison Of Sirens And The Little Mermaid
Sirens and The Little Mermaid
There is a universal ideology that suggests that each gender plays their specific, individualized
roles in society: men acting as independent, powerful alpha males, and women being their dutiful
submissives. Contemporary narratives depict women as such whereas mythology is rich with
goddesses and other female figures who are brave and powerful warriors equal to men. So if
mythology can be overflowed with stories about female leaders, how come contemporary
narratives have derived from that viewpoint? Sirens in Greek Mythology are a perfect example of
the derivation to the new idea of women in society: weak. By examining the myth of Sirens through
a feminist critical lens, the question of whether society is concerned with the ways in which
literature and other cultural productions reinforce or undermine the economic, political, social, and
psychological oppression (Brizee Web) will be answered. The mythological legend of the Sirens
highlights the superiority of these figures who could destroy by temptation through their melodic
voices; modern interpretations of sirens as in Disney s The Little Mermaid (1989) reduce the
feminine power of the siren to a contemporary stereotype of the powerless, dependent, subservient
woman.
Sirens in mythology are defined as beautiful, destructive creatures either half woman, half bird or
half woman, half fish that obtain power by luring sailors to their deaths, causing their ships to crash
on the reefs near

issue at hand was what to do with the Jewish peoples with no place to go. In the month of March

camp maintained by the Third Reich, [the name for Germany when the government was controlled
by Adolf Hitler]. Aside these concentration camps was two other types of camps; labor camps, and
death camps. A main concentration camp was Theresienstadt. Theresienstadt was located in what is

The doctors who examined the incoming prisoners and sorted them also worked in these
hospitals performing medical research on the ill. This medical research was mostly placing the
Jewish prisoners in ice water baths then monitoring them until they died. This research was
mostly used to prevent hypothermia if German Pilots ever ended up being stranded in the ocean.
Some of the experiments performed by doctors often had no research purpose at all, such as
experiments involving eye color changing using chemical droppers and the surgical sewing of
children together to create siamese twins. Auschwitz was the largest death camp with 20,000 Jews
being killed a day and 39 subcamps. The Nazi leadership aimed to deceive the German population,
the victims, and the outside world regarding their genocidal policy toward Jews. Positive stories
were fabricated as part of the planned deception. One book printed and distributed in 1941 reported
that in Poland, German authorities had put Jews to work, built clean hospitals, set up soup kitchens
for Jews, and provided them with newspapers and vocational training. By 1944 most of the
international community knew about the camps and were aware that the Germans and their axis
partners brutally mistreated prisoners although exact details about the living conditions were
unclear. The existence of the Nazi camps was known by most of the European governments long
before the beginning of World War II.

reasons why people commit these crimes. Crime is a big issue all around the world and while
there is more production of drugs and loss of jobs, the crime rate will continue to increase day by
day. While there are many motives that contribute to crimethe most obvious causes would be
poverty which causes the poor to adapt into a violent and aggressive behavior to which later

The environment of where a person was raised is another leading cause of crime. When someone
grows up in a place where they see all these bad things happening in their society it serves as a
role model to them and they adapt other people s actions. Growing up in a household where
somebody does not have parents or a guardian telling them what is right from wrong leads you to
do the unthinkable because they do not have any family direction showing you the right way to
live life. One of the most important environmental factors during childhood development is that
of socialization or the way a child is taught how to act (Chemistry Web) Lack of faith causes a
person to think of violence as their only way to get attention. When someone has no religious
values, they think of all the bad things that are bothering them instead of the good that they can
bring into their life. Gangs in an environment are a big cause of bringing crime to a society
because they are the people who do the most outrageous crimes. They are the ones who are drug

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Steel
In the late 19th century, the US Navy was falling behind the rest of the world when it came to the
use of new technology, so in 1883, legislation authorized the development of modern steel
warships. This move lead to the great battleships of WWII and even the ships that fight today. The
steel armor plating of these ships provides great strength and longevity that is needed for their jobs.
Steelis one of the most popular materials in the world due to its high strength and low cost. It is
used in many different objects and scenarios, from buildings, machines, and tools to weapons,
vehicles, and of course, ships. Steel also has different types, whether it be carbon steel, alloy steel,
or stainless steel. The primary type of steel used for battleships has been nickel steel, or an iron
nickel alloy. This stainless steel provides the best properties needed for battleships to last and work
to their highest potential. Steel... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It s original primary uses were for knives, razors, and springs. Later, the production of steel

Some different types of steels for application include long steel, flat carbon steel, stainless steel,

wires, flat carbon steel is used for major appliances. Stainless steel has many uses, including
weapons and jewelry to name a couple. Self weathering steel is used in vulnerable, outdoor uses.
Nickel steel, more specifically, has many applications due to its favorable features like durability,
strength, and heat resistance. Today, some industries that use this type of steel include the
aerospace industry, food processing plants, chemical processing, and oil or gas industries to name
a few. Nickel steel is also used in many mechanical situations, for gears, bolts, and

Patricia Williams Woman
Batter Up My mother, who I will refer to as The Woman, was a Walmart employee for 13 years.
Hello, how are you? she always asked as customers entered the door. Many stared at her as if she
was a female alien. Yet, she continued to smile. Many would pat her on the head and spoke to her
slowly, because they believed her wheelchair made her intellectually inapt. Yet, she continued to
smile. Many yelled at her, accusing her of racial appropriation, for she does not look or act African
American. Yet, she continued to smile. Inside, she understood these customers did not know her
superiority over them. She understood they did not know she is a single mother of two girls,

A concept identical to taking the Stranger s foul ball and turning it fair unjustly. The Woman s
experience is similar to Patricia Williams experience in her essay The Death of the Profane: The
Rhetoric of Race and Rights . Williams describes her encounter with discrimination from a Stranger
as being ... an outward manifestation of his never having to let someone like me into the realm of
his reality (Williams 424). Both The Woman and Williams are aware of the attempts made by the
Strangers to shun them from living and prospering equally among one another. However, both of
these women were not discouraged by their treatment and decided to fight. While The Woman s
attempt failed due to her trust in an agency ran by Strangers, so did Williams. In Williams
second retelling of her experience, she wrote an essay. An essay being written, for a symposium
on Excluded Voices sponsored by a law review (Williams 425). With the credibility of a law firm,
there is the assumption that there is no need for constant political correctness compared to the
average newspaper. However, time and time again, the editors took information out of her essay,
such as her race and location of the incident, because they wanted to follow set guidelines, and
feared persecution and accountability (425). However, this did not stop Williams, as seen in her
third retelling of her experience. She goes on to tell the world her story by speech. At this point,
there is no one to censor her words, because it is her alone on the stage to hit a homerun.
However, she notices the effects of her decision. Many questioned her experience; leaving her to
wonder, What makes my experience the real black one anyway[s]? (Williams 427). Regardless of
the fact both women carried out their fights on the legal level, it brings up the question of what is
true. Both The

Origin Of Basketball History Essay
Where did the history of basketball start out and where will it be in the future? These are some of
the many questions that will be talked about during my time writing this essay. Some of the many
questions that will be answered my be controversial to some and interesting for others. There are
many ways I can talk about basketballbut in this essay the points I make will come from historical
facts and analysis. This is an essay that will tell you the reader about the origin of basketball and
where it is headed.Basketball is a sport that is played by thirteen players, five starting and the rest

Basketball has been around since 1891 it has seen a lot of improvements and some flaws, but
with its flaws basketball is a great sport. The game has grown from a sport with just a few teams
in the northeast to a nationwide sport with thirty NBA teams in almost all states and one in
Canada. Basketball has also grown in paying wise, from the original $2.50 for home games and
$1.50 for road game to the now league minimum of $507,336 for players who have not been in
the NBA for ten years to $1,448,490 for those who have been playing for ten years. Basketball
also saw in less then 100 years Juwan Howard get offers from the bullets and heat for $100
million for seven years. This was the biggest offer for a player for at its time. Juwan might have
been the most expensive player, but he was far from a star. The NBA s first star was Walt
Chamberlain from UCLA later being joined by future star Bill Russell from San Francisco
University. Walt and Bill would open up the door for future superstars like Michael Jordan,
Irving (magic) Johnson, and Nate Archibald. Players like Michael, Magic, and Nate would open
up the same door for stars we all know today as LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Kobe
Bryant. The doors that opened for them will open for future stars of the game and the people who
dream about becoming a superstar.Basketball is starting to become a global trend with 113 global

Notes On The And Binary Conversion
6. Gray to Binary Conversion A binary image is the matrix comprising of only 0 s(black) and 1
s(white). It can be implemented by using the command im2bw in MATLAB. Thresholding concept
has been used in this algorithm. The threshold concept works by choosing a threshold value, T,
automatically and then extract (or separate) object from background. The threshold function of the
binary image is defined as g(x,y) = {█(a,if (x,y) T@b,if (x,y)≤T)┤ Pixels having a value
correspond to object and pixels with b value correspond to background. Usually, a=1 (white) and
b=0(black) by convention. When T is a constant applicable over an entire image, the above
equation is referred to as Global thresholding. In the algorithm, global thresholding concept is
used. Enhanced image is converted into binary format by using the command im2bw and the
resultant image is shown below Fig. 11 Gray to Binary conversion 7. Morphological Operations
Morphological operators take a binary image and structuring element as an input and combine
them using a set operator such as union and intersection. Structuring element have dimension of
3*3 and its origin is at the center pixel. The pixels of the structuring element are compared with
each pixel of an image. If it matches the condition defined by the set operator then the pixel is set
to a pre defined value (0 or 1 for binary images). There are two basic types of morphological
operator, which is used in this algorithm. 7.1 Dilation Dilation

Jackie And Me Character Traits
After reading Jackie and Me by Dan Gutman, I have learned that Joe Stoshack is a dynamic
character. At the beginning of the book, Joe is misbehaving; eventually, Joe becomes thoughtful,
and then very self controlled.. These character traits were observed through Joe s actions,
dialogue, relationships, choices, and problems. In the first chapters I have learned that Joe was
dishonest and through his action and choices and this tells me this character cannot be trusted.
One reason why Joe is dishonest, is that Joe told Mrs. Robinson (Jackie s wife) and other people
that he wasn t a time traveler even thought Joe was. Another reason is that when Joe got back
from the journey Joe didn t tell his teacher that he went back in time Joe said he found it from the
baseball cards and lied when he should have been honest although he didn t want people to know.
The last reason why Joe is dishonest, is when Joe came back from the first time that he didn t tell
his mom that he got chased down from the cops.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Satire in “The Importance of Being Earnest” by Oscar Wilde...
A satire is a piece of work that is designed to ridicule or tease a group or organization, generally
for the purpose of being humorous. The Importance of Being Earnest, a play by Oscar Wilde, is
a satire, ridiculing class, gender, and marriage. This essay will describe some points from each
of these sections, as well as give a brief synopsis of the play these examples come from. The
Importance of being Earnest includes three acts, with seven major characters. In act one, we start
with a conversation between Jack (a notable bachelor) and Algernon (an in debt bachelor, with a
laid back temperament), in which we learn both have made up friends, who are often sick, as to
escape from wherever they live whenever they want. We also learn... Show more content on

Gwendolyn and Cecily act as friends until they learn that they are supposedly engaged to the same
person. Then they learn neither of them are engaged to anybody named Ernest, and are friends
again. In act three, we discover Jacks history, including that he is Algernon s elder brother. In the
end, despite several lies, arguments, and much turmoil, everybody gets married. There are many
examples of satire referring to class. One of the first is the fact that the side of the street you live
on affects how fashionable you are. This is an example of satire because it is not true, and is
ridiculing high class people by pointing out how shallow that they can be. Another example is
the statement that sugar is a low class food item. This is a satire for the same reason as the first
example. A third example of class related satire is that high class people always talk about other
peoples business. This ridicules high class people for being churlish and not allowing for other
peoples privacy. In all, Earnest points out how snobbish and shallow Mr. Wilde thought high
class people are. There are also many examples of gender based satire. The first of these is that
only men can have a Bunburry. This is not true and shows that men think themselves more
sophisticated than women. A second example of this type of satire is that women marry for a
name. This is a satire because it ridicules women for being shallow. A final example of gender
related satire is that women are

David and Goliath World Trade Organization Case Study
Jay Cohen and two friends established an online gaming site on the islands of Antigua and Barbuda;
they named the organization World Sports Exchange (WSE). Mr. Cohen was prosecuted by the
U.S. government; his conviction resulted in a battle between the U.S. and the two small Caribbean
islands of Barbuda and Antigua. The epic battle of David and Goliath was mediated by the World
Trade Organization (WTO) and raised a lot of interesting questions about international trade and
internet gaming (Steiner, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In regards to online gaming, horse racing is a legal sporting event where betting is allowed to
take place online and across state lines. That fact alone makes the U.S. government s argument of
morality null and void. There is no difference between gambling on a horse race and betting on a
sporting event. Legislation that attempts to control individual choice is an infringement on civil
liberties and has not proven successful in the past, particularly with prohibition on gambling and
alcohol. Mr. Cohen lost a significant amount of his life because he was convicted on a ridiculous
charge. Where is the morality in that? Gambling continues to gain in popularity and many states are
embracing the industry in order to boost tourism, increase revenue, and create jobs. This trend will
probably continue as people begin to realize that the government should not decide whether or not a
person can gamble. This is a prime example of too much government; the country has more pressing
issues to deal with and should focus on problems that truly affect the American people.
Technological Environment Technology is a huge factor in this case because all WSE s
transactions where conducted online, telephonic, or via wire transfer. The online forum is
specifically the issue that the U.S. government had with WSE s profits generated from U.S.
consumers. The country s position was that Mr. Cohen was in violation of the Wire

Essay On Iran Nuclear Deal
The Iran Nuclear Deal: Retain or Abolish? Currently, The USA position about Iran nuclear deal
has been one of the most controversial topics in the political and international affairs fields. People

During these past days, the news is so focused on the subject Iran, here are some headlines:
Scuttling the Iran deal will lead to another North Korea, how the Iran deal prevents a covert

As president Trump s reluctance to certify if Iran is following all the requirements, it illustrates that
the deal remains under threat.
First all, the USA administration, president Donald Trump and some his political adviser, are
willing to end up the USA involvement in the JCPOA and the US president claimed that it was the
worse decision. For me, it was one of the most successful deals in the last years because it is
preventing Iran from building nuclear weapons and provide improved transparency. Which means
that under a nuclear agreement, Iran has the obligation to permit the International Atomic Energy
Agency (IAEA) to conduct a deep inspection on Iran s nuclear facilities if IAEA requests to do so.
However, If Iran violates the agreement, it will severely punish and all sanctions will come back
and Iran aliens will not be able to reverse the situation or block the sanction applied to Iran such
as economic, political and others that can break the Iran economy. The US government can do
nothing to stop Iran to improve its nuclear weapons. If Iran decided not to make new nuclear
weapons, it was because they decided not to do it.
Some disagree that, the Obama administration is prepared to sign an agreement that will expire in
a mere 10 years time. At this point, any restriction that the deal imposes on Iran would be vanish.
Iran s economy would be free from all nuclear related sanctions and its government would be
treated the same as any other

Positive And Negative Aspects Of The Lgbt Community
The LGBT community, a small, often marginalized group, has few sources of influence to their
direction and path. It is common in our 21st century society for those discovering themselves to
mimic and embody the characteristics with which they observe. When children grow up, they look
up to the diverse group of individuals and ideas surrounding them. As a person explores their
formative years they seek out groups with which they have something in common. They are drawn
to the lifestyles with which they identify most. It is in this association that many traits and
behaviors from these groups start be emulated. Taking this relatively simple concept, I will apply
this to theatre and infer whether there are any positive or negative effects pertaining to gaythemes
found on stage.
Further elaborating on the connection between formative years of discovering one s self, we
will find that our society has a desire to place designators and identifiers on people. This acts as a
quick and easy way to categorize an individual and assess a slew of presumed things in categories
ranging from economic status, religious affiliation, sex, criminality, intelligence, physical
capabilities, social standing to many more. Regardless of the reasons for boxing people into a
specific category, the dominant signifiers seem to greatly influence the trajectory of one s
identifiable categories. When humans are forming their self identity they tend to place themselves
in a box that society has deemed as

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Led Lights
Everything in this world comes with its benefits and disadvantages. With this, here are some of
the advantages and disadvantages of the LED street lights. Advantages of the LED street lights
include the following 1.Lower consumption of energy Most of the LED lighting retrofits are said
to dramatically reduce the energy used. However, in the actual facts, studies have shown that
lower energy consumption is tied and limited to reduced levels of illumination. 2.Has

The length of the fibers of the Egyptian cotton are really long which means that it is of high
quality. It can be spun into finer and thin fiber. This results in creating soft sheets and lighter duvet
covers. The reason for buying the high quality fiber is the lightness of the fiber.
The lighter covers are less warm as compared to the covers which are heavy and thick. The
heavier and hot covers make you perspire more and all of that moisture is absorbed by the duvet.
If there is a cover over the duvet, the moisture will be absorbed by the cover. The cover will
absorb the moisture and it will keep the moisture from getting in the duvet. The duvet will be kept
safe and clean with a cover over it. The longevity of the duvet also depends on the quality of the

Music Theory As A Worship Leader
There are many ways to incorporate music theory as a worship leader and as a worship team. As
a leader, there are very significant benefits to having a strong understanding of music theory
including a greater ability to communicate to the team members according to their
understanding, a better understanding of what you want from the band technically, and a
greater proficiency in music which allows you to connect better with stronger musicians and
train up weaker ones. As a worship team, integrating music theory comes with its own benefits
and challenges. All worship bands need some level of music theory in order to function at any
level of efficiency. So the contrast made here will between those who use very little music
theory, such as those who have chord charts provided and nothing else, and those who may rely
completely off of sheet music. Of course in this issue, as it is with many issues, it is a matter of
balance and there is a sweet spot in between these two views. Many worship leaders learned how
to play guitar or piano just well enough to play and sing at the same time before being pushed
out to lead worship. That s my story. As soon as I could strum chords and sort of sing at the
same time, I started to lead for the high school group at my church. I knew very little about
theory, although I knew some from my time learning piano as a child and playing clarinet for a
year. I usually played alone or with another singer or cajonist. I didn t know harmony

The timing of acquisition by PepsiCo was well planned because the target companies were losing
their market share during that time period and the offer of an acquisition by PepsiCo was accepted
with a hope to drift back into the market.
Consistent with PepsiCo s decentralized structure and the emphasis the firm placed on
entrepreneurial management, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and KFCeach operated with a great deal of
autonomy. PepsiCo did not interfere in their businesses unless they thought that their interference
was necessary for the strategic growth.
How does Pepsi s corporate strategy create a competitive advantage for them?
Pepsi s corporate strategy was to follow a Related Linked Diversification (mixed related and
unrelated) because there are only limited links between businesses. They went ahead with
expansion through acquiring other firms only when they believed that the product of the target
firm was a complement to their product i.e. the soft drink. The acquisition of Frito Lay also took
place because Pepsi believed that snack chips went well with soda. Similarly, this corporate
relatedness and operational relatedness can be seen in the acquisitions of Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and
KFC.
Their practice of letting the managers navigating across the businesses holding different
responsibilities worked well for PepsiCo. This way, transferring

The Importance Of A Common Bumper Sticker Quote
Being a young woman of this generation, I have come to realize the validity of a common
bumper sticker quote: Well behaved women seldom make history. Despite the fact that there is
no verified initial speaker to this statement, the older I have gotten, the wider my eyes have
become and the more of the world around me, I have seen in its full, vivid colors rather than the
simple, crisp black and white of childhood. In my elementary days, being anything other than
well behaved was downright frightening. The ever bearing fear of disapproval weighed heavy
upon my little shoulders, because frankly, speaking against adults was unforgivable and meant
no rewards in the form of sweets or shiny foil stickers with terrible plays on words. But, I digress,
the trueness of the statement solidified itself the older I got when the reality became clear;
women are to be an object, a fixture, a malleable ball of clay left for shaping at the hands of the

The Effects Of Environmental Diverty And Environmental...
Explaining how global poverty and environmental decay are twin problems would be a lot less
difficult to do if many other factors were not included in this issue. What mainly affects these
problems is the fact that people in this day in age have a massive urge to want more in every aspect
of life more money, more technology, more materialistic items what is not being taken into serious
consideration is the fact that our wants outweigh our needs, and our Earthis the only thing that can
not continue to grow with the growth of our wants. In such a fast developing countrylike our own,
we fail to forget how our materialistic needs and the drive to always stay on top ultimately
effects our physical Earth and the rest of the underdeveloped countries in the world. The
primary concern is that a world of over six billion people striving materialistic satisfaction is
drawing ever more heavily from finite supplies of natural resources to fuel an economic growth
model destined to lead to an ecological disaster and global poverty without precedence (Harder
and Harder 1). As Harder and Harder explain, we must find an economic way of life that is
economically stable. There are many different perspectives that view economic growth in different
aspects. Advocates of economic growth have a very optimistic viewpoint about the future of
economic growth. Their operational logic reflects their sense of duty to develop latent resources
into their actualized state for the benefit of a global

Montaigne s Skepticism Argument Of Constant Flux
Montaigne s Skepticism Argument of Constant Flux This skeptical argument is based around the
premise that there is no constant existence. This means that there is no unchanging being nor
nonbeing object. Everything is changing, growing, learning, multiplying, and moving. With
constant movement comes constant changeof both the known and the knower, and since there is no
being nor object that does not change, both the person and their judgement continue flowing, which
then allows nothing to be established for certain (MP, 13). Human nature is constantly in the
middle of being born and dying, and are subject to passing from one change to another as humans
grow, learn and change. Everything is either coming into being and growing, making it a current
incomplete substance, or it is beginning to die. An example that helps one to understand this
argument is the concept of a woman birthing a baby boy (MP, 14). This baby is always changing,
every moment of every hour of each day. At first the infantleaves the mother s womb as an
unformed infant, then becomes a suckling infant completely dependent on its mother. He is
continuously learningthat when he is hungry or needs to be changed, he simply needs to cry. He
learns to laugh and make noises, sit up and crawl. Eventually he learns to walk and talk and then
one day the baby boy is not a baby anymore. He is a boy, and then a youth, next a mature man,
then a man, and finally a decrepit aged man (MP, 14). This change seemingly

Case Study Of Supervalu Incorporation
Supervalu Incorporation is one of the largest grocery stores in the United States with more than
2,400 stores, among these stores the corporation also outsources to third parties which are not
named in this discussion (Edmonds, Tsay Old, 2011). However, grocery stories that are the best
known that are in house under the ownership of Supervalu are as followed; Albertson, Farm
Fresh, Jewel Osco and Save a lot (Edmonds, Tsay, Old, 2011). On January 12th, 2010 Supervalu
made the decision to reduce items from their present time inventory. The reduction would reduce
the cost of production by 25% from the last segment production earnings of 240,000 (Edmonds,
Tsay Old, 2011). In this discussion, we will try to deduce the effect and impact that will result in
Supervalu decision to reduce or eliminate an item from their inventory (Edmonds, Tsay Old, 2011).
First, Fiber Treats for a segment brought in a profit of $94,800 and secondly, Carbo Crunch in that
same segment brought in a profit of $98,400, however, Sugar ... Show more content on

What that means for the future segment for Supervalu, becomes an allocated saving of $1,900
from the present day fix cost salary of $9,600, leaving an expenditure and fixed cost of $8,400
(Edmonds, Tsay Old, 2011). Another consideration is depreciationand how it can save the firm
from financing a new machine (Edmonds, Tsay Old, 2011). Which bring into focus fixed assets,
the equipment in use for sugar bits is viable and can still produce the Fiber Treats and Carbo
Crunch allowing inventory managers to account for cost accordingly to a process cost system
(Edmonds, Tsay Old, 2011). This fixed asset of the firm can bring more futures to the table rather
than liquidating the equipment it already has in its possession (Financial statement.

Professional Counseling Focuses on Development, Wellness...
Professional counseling is different from other counseling and psychology related fields. The desire
of social work is to help the destitute. Psychology wants to understand the nature of a person.
Psychiatry deals with medical interventions. Professional counseling which officially grew out of
the vocational counselingmovement of the twentieth century (Neukrug, 2014) tends to focus on
development, prevention and wellness (Mellin, Hunt, Nichols, 2011). It is this focus on
development, prevention and wellness that brings challenge to the role and identity of the
professional counselor at times, but also gives the professional counselor direction, especially in
the area of specialization (Mellin, Hunt, Nichols, 2011). Professional Counselors are clinical
mental health counselors that have graduated from an accredited university with a degree in
clinical mental health counseling or a similar degree in counseling. The Master s level degree at
Liberty University for the professional counselor is a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling.
The degree is maintained by accreditation requirements and most schools offering degrees in
professional counseling are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related
Educational Programs (CACREP). The degree is moving toward a 60 hour requirement (some still
have a 48 hour requirement) and the graduate student has the opportunity to join various
professional organizations in order to help with professional

Essay On The Dark Lady In Shakespeare s Sonnet
William Shakespeare s comprehensive imagery and details contribute to a perfect representation
of Elizabethan court life. Strangely, little is known about the true identity of the prolific writer.
Through countless conspiracy theories and historians digging through records and examining
every word used, Shakespeare is simply invisible. Historians believe identifying Shakespeare s
characters in his masterpieces will bring them a step closer to his true identity. Trouble is,
Shakespeare s characters also are conflicting and this creates a never ending cycle of theories.
Since most sonnets, which were read in sequence, have been thought to be autobiographical,
Shakespeare s Sonnets create a bit of hope. In Shakespeare s Sonnets, the Dark Lady... Show more

He accepts her essentially, because of her mediocracy. At times, he is outraged by her additional
lovers, but he still is wrapped around her finger. He blames himself for staying with her even
though the relationship is toxic and copes with her infidelity. Shakespeare turns the traditional
feeling of a love sonnet to that of hatred, resentment, and lust. It seems more in line with the
reality and harshness of falling in love, as opposed to the traditional googly eyed admiration of a
lover. Since Shakespeare avoids this fictional theme, he gives readers a good reason to believe his
Sonnets may actually be true.
In Shakespeare s Sonnets, the pain experienced emotionally and physically contributes to the
realistic nature of his words. Specifically addressing the Dark Lady, the speaker expresses a more
mature love unlike the relationship between him and the young man. Readers are warned about
the dangers of lust in the love triangle, but the speaker is content with the Dark Lady s affairs
rather than the young man s. In Sonnet 138, the speaker says, On both sides thus is simple truth
suppressed/But wherefore say not I that I am old?/Oh love s best habit is in seeming trust (8 10).
In their relationship, love is therefore a mutual understanding of deception. The Dark Lady ignores
that he is old and considers him to be young and the speaker ignores that she is cheating on him by
not bringing up her faithfulness. What ties these two characters together is

William Brickman and Paulo Freire
William Brickman and Paulo Freire were two famous educators that brought their own ideas and
contributions to the education field. They shared some similarities, differences, challenges, and an
overall positive impact on education that is with us today.
The contribution of Brickman and Freire
Brickman s Contribution
Brickman thought it was essential to have comparative education, which is the idea that
professionals in the education field be exposed to different cultures, living in a different country,
learning to speak the language, sharing and gaining knowledge with their counterparts, and gaining
insight in the diversity of education.( Silova Brehm,2010) Brickman founded the Comparative
education society. He set up the first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The bank concept is the concept that teachers teach what they want and the learners listen, teachers
decide what they will teach and what the learner will learn. Dialogue is the term used to describe a
mutual respect of teaching and learning, where both parties contribute and have a mutual respect
for one another. (Flanagan, 2005)
Similarities between Brickman and Freire
Both men were raised in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods. Brickman was raised in the Lower
East side of New York, where he was exposed to a variety of multilingual languages, media, and
parents who spoke a variety of languages. Brickman as a young child was exposed to different
cultures and history. (Silova Brehm, 2010). Freire s family found themselves in financial crisis
after the Wall Street crashed in 1929 and his father took a financial loss that resulted in the family
moving to a lower socioeconomic area in Brazil. (Flanagan, 2005). This financial crisis allowed
Freire to witness firsthand the poverty of the peasants and the effect it had on their education.
(Flanagan, 2005). The similarities of both educators living in poor conditions seemed to be a
motivator for both men s contribution to the education field.
The differences between Brickman and Freire
Brickman focused on comparative education, and promoting the idea of professionals in education
to travel around the world and learn about different countries and their

The American Dream Is A Mere Fantasy For The Poor Essay
The American Dream is an idea that needs no introduction: it has been embedded into our minds
since elementary school by our history textbooks, teachers, and parents. It s an unwritten rule for
many adults keep the American Dream alive in our next generation. And why shouldn t we? With
all of the countless rags to riches stories bred through our county s proud history, the American
Dream becomes self evident. America truly is the land of opportunity; so why are most of our
povertystricken citizens stuck at the bottom? Has the dream become a mere fantasy for the poor?
One may say that it is possible for almost all poor Americans to climb the social hierarchy, but
they unwilling to put in the effort necessary. While I do concede that it may be possible to climb
the social ladder, I d argue that the negative affect poverty has on work and mental health rig the
system so that the opportunity simply does not exist for the poor.
Don t get me wrong, the dream is not dead for the poor. There must be a few exceptions to the
rule. A Pew study finds that four percent of people born into poverty work their way up into the
higher classes. Four is not too terrible; the ratio isn t flattering, but some are still achieving the
American Dream. A more unfortunate number is 70 the percent of men and women born, raised,
and perished in poverty (see fig. 1). The overwhelming majority of those born into low income
houses will statistically never escape. Poverty isn t just a problem; it is

  • 4. The Clean Water Act ( Cwa ) In 1972 the Clean Water Act (CWA) was passed, and it established the infrastructure for waste water management in the U.S. The CWA s main objective is to recover and preserve the physical, biological, and chemical purity of water. The CWA formed a program that would ensure communities had clean water by limiting the exposure of contaminants in U.S. waterways. Waste water treatment is essential to the world because it gives people ability to use streams and rivers for swimming, fishing and drinking water. In the early part of the 20th century, pollution in the U.S. urban waterways caused negative side effects like fish kills, low dissolved oxygen, bacterial contamination, and algal blooms. Early attempts of controlling water pollutionkept human waste from contaminating water supplies or reduced floating junk that hindered shipping. Problems with Pollution and control were mainly local concerns. Industrial and population growth have increased the requirement for natural resources, changing the situation drastically. Advancements in decreasing pollution can hardly keep in front of the increase in population, development of technology, adjustments in industrial processes, business breakthroughs, increased land use, and several other factors. The growth in both the variety and quantity of goods manufactured has greatly altered the size and complexity of waste produced by industries and it challenges standard treatment technology. The use of pesticides and commercial ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Freud Vs Erikson Research Paper Sigmund Freud s psychosexual theory and Erik Erikson s psychosocial theory are two important and well known psychoanalytic theories on human development. Both theories are often compared and contrasted in developmental studies. Like Freud, Erikson also believed that human development occurs in a series of stages of a person s life. However, Freud s theory focuses on basic needs and biological impulses like the need for food and sexual behaviors in the early stages of life. While Erikson s theory emphasized on environment experiences and social interactions throughout the early and later stages of life. Freud called this stage the phallic stage. During this stage Freud believed children begin to develop pleasure in genitals, recognize their gender and develop self esteem. Erikson referred this stage as initiative vs. guilt as children begin their preschool years. Children begin to face new challenges, explore beyond themselves and develop a sense of initiative. If criticized or punished they begin to feel guilty for their actions. Ages 7 to 11 is the 4th developmental stage. Freud ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Natural gas is a cheaper option and also environmentally, a better option because it is classified as a greenhouse gas. The initial cost of gas plumbing and installation can be expensive, but you do save money over time. Size is one thing you need to consider when buying an outdoor grill. How big is your patio or deck where the grill is gonna go? Also, are you the average griller, cooking mostly chicken and steak? Or do you grill bigger meats more regularly? • 8. Big Sort Phenomenon Analysis One of the more troubling aspects of the roots of the big sort phenomenon was the role that the ways we view the role of our representatives plays into exacerbating the big sort phenomenon. Around page 72, the author describes how when communities or constituents demand their representatives to cater to their specific demands, then that can inflame the massive problems of radicalization in politics. It reminded me of the two different kinds of representation that I learned about in my high school civics class. Most people look at their representatives as a form of the delegate model of representation wherein the representative acts as a mouthpiece of the constituency and they have no real ability to sway from public opinion. This type of representation is the certainly the most well known type. It s why we as constituents call, email, or meet with our representatives. We make our voice heard so they know how to vote. Most of us look at this form of representation as a good thing, yet the author points out that it is one of the many roots to the problem of the big sort. Personally, some of my favorite Congressmen adopt the trustee model of representation, which allows them to have a back and forth with not only their constituencies but the nation as a whole. The piece is currently located at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and is found in Gallery 640 as part of the museum s collection of European paintings. Contemporary narratives depict women as such whereas mythology is rich with goddesses and other female figures who are brave and powerful warriors equal to men. So if mythology can be overflowed with stories about female leaders, how come contemporary narratives have derived from that viewpoint? Sirens in Greek Mythology are a perfect example of the derivation to the new idea of women in society: weak. By examining the myth of Sirens through a feminist critical lens, the question of whether society is concerned with the ways in which literature and other cultural productions reinforce or undermine the economic, political, social, and psychological oppression (Brizee Web) will be answered. The mythological legend of the Sirens highlights the superiority of these figures who could destroy by temptation through their melodic voices; modern interpretations of sirens as in Disney s The Little Mermaid (1989) reduce the feminine power of the siren to a contemporary stereotype of the powerless, dependent, subservient woman. Sirens in mythology are defined as beautiful, destructive creatures either half woman, half bird or half woman, half fish that obtain power by luring sailors to their deaths, causing their ships to crash on the reefs near ... Dachau was a concentration camp, or a prison camp maintained by the Third Reich, [the name for Germany when the government was controlled by Adolf Hitler]. Aside these concentration camps was two other types of camps; labor camps, and death camps. A main concentration camp was Theresienstadt. Some of the experiments performed by doctors often had no research purpose at all, such as experiments involving eye color changing using chemical droppers and the surgical sewing of children together to create siamese twins. Auschwitz was the largest death camp with 20,000 Jews being killed a day and 39 subcamps. The Nazi leadership aimed to deceive the German population, the victims, and the outside world regarding their genocidal policy toward Jews. Positive stories were fabricated as part of the planned deception. One book printed and distributed in 1941 reported that in Poland, German authorities had put Jews to work, built clean hospitals, set up soup kitchens for Jews, and provided them with newspapers and vocational training. By 1944 most of the international community knew about the camps and were aware that the Germans and their axis partners brutally mistreated prisoners although exact details about the living conditions were unclear. It can be implemented by using the command im2bw in MATLAB. Thresholding concept has been used in this algorithm. The threshold concept works by choosing a threshold value, T, automatically and then extract (or separate) object from background. The threshold function of the binary image is defined as g(x,y) = {в–€(a,if (x,y) T@b,if (x,y)≤T)┤ Pixels having a value correspond to object and pixels with b value correspond to background. Usually, a=1 (white) and b=0(black) by convention. When T is a constant applicable over an entire image, the above equation is referred to as Global thresholding. In the algorithm, global thresholding concept is used. Enhanced image is converted into binary format by using the command im2bw and the resultant image is shown below Fig. 11 Gray to Binary conversion 7. The length of the fibers of the Egyptian cotton are really long which means that it is of high quality. It can be spun into finer and thin fiber. This results in creating soft sheets and lighter duvet covers. The reason for buying the high quality fiber is the lightness of the fiber. The lighter covers are less warm as compared to the covers which are heavy and thick. The heavier and hot covers make you perspire more and all of that moisture is absorbed by the duvet. If there is a cover over the duvet, the moisture will be absorbed by the cover. The cover will absorb the moisture and it will keep the moisture from getting in the duvet. • 36. Music Theory As A Worship Leader There are many ways to incorporate music theory as a worship leader and as a worship team. As a leader, there are very significant benefits to having a strong understanding of music theory including a greater ability to communicate to the team members according to their understanding, a better understanding of what you want from the band technically, and a greater proficiency in music which allows you to connect better with stronger musicians and train up weaker ones. As a worship team, integrating music theory comes with its own benefits and challenges. All worship bands need some level of music theory in order to function at any level of efficiency. So the contrast made here will between those who use very little music theory, such as those who have chord charts provided and nothing else, and those who may rely completely off of sheet music. Of course in this issue, as it is with many issues, it is a matter of balance and there is a sweet spot in between these two views. Many worship leaders learned how to play guitar or piano just well enough to play and sing at the same time before being pushed out to lead worship. That s my story. As soon as I could strum chords and sort of sing at the same time, I started to lead for the high school group at my church. I knew very little about theory, although I knew some from my time learning piano as a child and playing clarinet for a year. I usually played alone or with another singer or cajonist. The timing of acquisition by PepsiCo was well planned because the target companies were losing their market share during that time period and the offer of an acquisition by PepsiCo was accepted with a hope to drift back into the market. Consistent with PepsiCo s decentralized structure and the emphasis the firm placed on entrepreneurial management, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and KFCeach operated with a great deal of autonomy. PepsiCo did not interfere in their businesses unless they thought that their interference was necessary for the strategic growth. How does Pepsi s corporate strategy create a competitive advantage for them?
  • 38. Pepsi s corporate strategy was to follow a Related Linked Diversification (mixed related and unrelated) because there are only limited links between businesses. They went ahead with expansion through acquiring other firms only when they believed that the product of the target firm was a complement to their product i.e. the soft drink. The acquisition of Frito Lay also took place because Pepsi believed that snack chips went well with soda. Similarly, this corporate relatedness and operational relatedness can be seen in the acquisitions of Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and KFC. Their practice of letting the managers navigating across the businesses holding different responsibilities worked well for PepsiCo. This way, transferring ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. The Importance Of A Common Bumper Sticker Quote Being a young woman of this generation, I have come to realize the validity of a common bumper sticker quote: Well behaved women seldom make history. Despite the fact that there is no verified initial speaker to this statement, the older I have gotten, the wider my eyes have become and the more of the world around me, I have seen in its full, vivid colors rather than the simple, crisp black and white of childhood. In my elementary days, being anything other than well behaved was downright frightening. The ever bearing fear of disapproval weighed heavy upon my little shoulders, because frankly, speaking against adults was unforgivable and meant no rewards in the form of sweets or shiny foil stickers with terrible plays on words. But, I digress, the trueness of the statement solidified itself the older I got when the reality became clear; women are to be an object, a fixture, a malleable ball of clay left for shaping at the hands of the man she shadows. However true this may be, this paper, my last soapbox to preach observations upon, aims to reference: The Wife s Lament, Beowulf, Paradise Lost, The Flea, and The Poetess s Hasty Resolution to reiterate and further emphasize the use of, shift in, and development of gender roles. My primary focus resting upon the roles of women in literature throughout the time periods discussed within the span of the semester. • 40. The Effects Of Environmental Diverty And Environmental... Explaining how global poverty and environmental decay are twin problems would be a lot less difficult to do if many other factors were not included in this issue. What mainly affects these problems is the fact that people in this day in age have a massive urge to want more in every aspect of life more money, more technology, more materialistic items what is not being taken into serious consideration is the fact that our wants outweigh our needs, and our Earthis the only thing that can not continue to grow with the growth of our wants. In such a fast developing countrylike our own, we fail to forget how our materialistic needs and the drive to always stay on top ultimately effects our physical Earth and the rest of the underdeveloped countries in the world. The primary concern is that a world of over six billion people striving materialistic satisfaction is drawing ever more heavily from finite supplies of natural resources to fuel an economic growth model destined to lead to an ecological disaster and global poverty without precedence (Harder and Harder 1). As Harder and Harder explain, we must find an economic way of life that is economically stable. There are many different perspectives that view economic growth in different aspects. Advocates of economic growth have a very optimistic viewpoint about the future of economic growth. Their operational logic reflects their sense of duty to develop latent resources into their actualized state for the benefit of a global ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 42. Montaigne s Skepticism Argument Of Constant Flux Montaigne s Skepticism Argument of Constant Flux This skeptical argument is based around the premise that there is no constant existence. This means that there is no unchanging being nor nonbeing object. Everything is changing, growing, learning, multiplying, and moving. With constant movement comes constant changeof both the known and the knower, and since there is no being nor object that does not change, both the person and their judgement continue flowing, which then allows nothing to be established for certain (MP, 13). Human nature is constantly in the middle of being born and dying, and are subject to passing from one change to another as humans grow, learn and change. Everything is either coming into being and growing, making it a current incomplete substance, or it is beginning to die. An example that helps one to understand this argument is the concept of a woman birthing a baby boy (MP, 14). This baby is always changing, every moment of every hour of each day. At first the infantleaves the mother s womb as an unformed infant, then becomes a suckling infant completely dependent on its mother. He is continuously learningthat when he is hungry or needs to be changed, he simply needs to cry. He learns to laugh and make noises, sit up and crawl. Eventually he learns to walk and talk and then one day the baby boy is not a baby anymore. He is a boy, and then a youth, next a mature man, then a man, and finally a decrepit aged man (MP, 14). Case Study Of Supervalu Incorporation Supervalu Incorporation is one of the largest grocery stores in the United States with more than 2,400 stores, among these stores the corporation also outsources to third parties which are not named in this discussion (Edmonds, Tsay Old, 2011). However, grocery stories that are the best known that are in house under the ownership of Supervalu are as followed; Albertson, Farm Fresh, Jewel Osco and Save a lot (Edmonds, Tsay, Old, 2011). On January 12th, 2010 Supervalu made the decision to reduce items from their present time inventory. The reduction would reduce the cost of production by 25% from the last segment production earnings of 240,000 (Edmonds, Tsay Old, 2011). In this discussion, we will try to deduce the effect and impact that will result in Supervalu decision to reduce or eliminate an item from their inventory (Edmonds, Tsay Old, 2011). Another consideration is depreciationand how it can save the firm from financing a new machine (Edmonds, Tsay Old, 2011). • 44. Professional Counseling Focuses on Development, Wellness... Professional counseling is different from other counseling and psychology related fields. The desire of social work is to help the destitute. Psychology wants to understand the nature of a person. Psychiatry deals with medical interventions. Professional counseling which officially grew out of the vocational counselingmovement of the twentieth century (Neukrug, 2014) tends to focus on development, prevention and wellness (Mellin, Hunt, Nichols, 2011). It is this focus on development, prevention and wellness that brings challenge to the role and identity of the professional counselor at times, but also gives the professional counselor direction, especially in the area of specialization (Mellin, Hunt, Nichols, 2011). Professional Counselors are clinical mental health counselors that have graduated from an accredited university with a degree in clinical mental health counseling or a similar degree in counseling. • 45. Essay On The Dark Lady In Shakespeare s Sonnet William Shakespeare s comprehensive imagery and details contribute to a perfect representation of Elizabethan court life. Strangely, little is known about the true identity of the prolific writer. Through countless conspiracy theories and historians digging through records and examining every word used, Shakespeare is simply invisible. Historians believe identifying Shakespeare s characters in his masterpieces will bring them a step closer to his true identity. Trouble is, Shakespeare s characters also are conflicting and this creates a never ending cycle of theories. Since most sonnets, which were read in sequence, have been thought to be autobiographical, Shakespeare s Sonnets create a bit of hope. In Shakespeare s Sonnets, the Dark Lady... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He accepts her essentially, because of her mediocracy. At times, he is outraged by her additional lovers, but he still is wrapped around her finger. He blames himself for staying with her even though the relationship is toxic and copes with her infidelity. Shakespeare turns the traditional feeling of a love sonnet to that of hatred, resentment, and lust. It seems more in line with the reality and harshness of falling in love, as opposed to the traditional googly eyed admiration of a lover. Since Shakespeare avoids this fictional theme, he gives readers a good reason to believe his Sonnets may actually be true. In Shakespeare s Sonnets, the pain experienced emotionally and physically contributes to the realistic nature of his words. Specifically addressing the Dark Lady, the speaker expresses a more mature love unlike the relationship between him and the young man. Readers are warned about the dangers of lust in the love triangle, but the speaker is content with the Dark Lady s affairs rather than the young man s. In Sonnet 138, the speaker says, On both sides thus is simple truth suppressed/But wherefore say not I that I am old?/Oh love s best habit is in seeming trust (8 10). In their relationship, love is therefore a mutual understanding of deception. The Dark Lady ignores that he is old and considers him to be young and the speaker ignores that she is cheating on him by not bringing up her faithfulness. The American Dream Is A Mere Fantasy For The Poor Essay The American Dream is an idea that needs no introduction: it has been embedded into our minds since elementary school by our history textbooks, teachers, and parents. It s an unwritten rule for many adults keep the American Dream alive in our next generation. And why shouldn t we? With all of the countless rags to riches stories bred through our county s proud history, the American Dream becomes self evident. America truly is the land of opportunity; so why are most of our povertystricken citizens stuck at the bottom? Has the dream become a mere fantasy for the poor? One may say that it is possible for almost all poor Americans to climb the social hierarchy, but they unwilling to put in the effort necessary. While I do concede that it may be possible to climb the social ladder, I d argue that the negative affect poverty has on work and mental health rig the system so that the opportunity simply does not exist for the poor. Don t get me wrong, the dream is not dead for the poor. There must be a few exceptions to the rule. A Pew study finds that four percent of people born into poverty work their way up into the higher classes. Four is not too terrible; the ratio isn t flattering, but some are still achieving the American Dream.
