Before we dug in to the food in attempt to make a dent in what was all there, we
went around the table and said what we were thankful for that year, as we do every

People say that a positive attitude is the key to success. My grandma always told
me that she had a negative attitude towards love. It seems strange I know but she
despised couples. She told me that she was jealous of other people, especially her

Most organizations, that maintain a sales force, believe in just two approaches to
advancing the sales skills of their sales team: The Minimalist Approach and the
Process Approach. Few, if any, ever consider the impact emotions have on sales
success. Before we talk about he value of emotion in the sales process, lets make sure
we understand what is involved in the two, most popular, sales training methods. A
brief explanation of the Minimalist and the Process sales approach may properly set
the stage for a productive discussion about what is really needed to grow a World
Class sales team.
The Minimalist Approach
This approach may best be exemplified by a story about my own entry into the
sales profession, nearly half a century ago. I was 17 and getting ready for the
summer between my Junior and Senior year in High School. For the previous 4
summers I had worked in the local grain elevator shoveling wheat, sacking and
stacking feed and seed in the warehouse and emptying boxcars filled with grain. All

Gender bias is a concept that is seen every day, where society has taken upon itself
to place male and females in certain stereotypical categories. For instance, gender
bias in the workforce is one of the most common areas where women and men are
treated differently. Women are supposed to work in fields such as nursing, office
work, and so on; while men work in the fields of construction, engineering, athletics,
etc.. In addition, there is a clear difference in the pay amount and promotions that
men and women receive. What s the situation and where does it need changing? What
laws have been passed?
Before anything, some may ask, what gender bias is well, gender bias can be defined
as the discrimination of one gender, giving the other gender more favoritism. Gender
bias can also refer to the unequal treatment of certain individuals, whether female or
male. This treatment can be clearly seen in the workplace standpoint.
Gender bias in the workforce has been present for centuries. It is a persistent
problem that, despite the progress that has already has been made, there is still
much to be done before it can disappear. A Gender stereotypic viewpoint in the
workforce has been passed down from generations to generations, and these sorts of
ideas are hard to get rid of.
For years men and women have followed a certain stereotype, with the woman being
a simple housewife, staying with the children and sharing an unbreakable maternal

The Struggles And Inequalities Of Mexican Americans
In the educational setting, Mexican Americans have faced discrimination,
segregation, and inequality for many years. This paper discusses the struggles and
inequalities that Mexican Americans have faced in education. I will focus on
different educational time periods and discuss the problems and struggles that
occurred in those time periods. The time periods that I give focus to include education
in the Spanish Mexican era (1519 1848), education and early Anglo rule in the
Southwest (1836 1890), the expansion of American education (1890 1960), and
education in the contemporary period (1960 present). Education in the Spanish
Mexican era lasted from 1519 until 1848. During this period, education occurred in
informal and formal settings and was aimed towards the Indian population, who were
Spanish subjects. Education in informal settings was the general norm and the most
important informal settings were missions, presidios, and civilian settlements. The
purpose of educating the Indians was to substitute their identity with a Spanish one
and to also teach them the acceptance of their social relegation. The way the Spanish
did this was by teaching the Indians literacy, music, the Catholic faith, Spanish
manners, and by repressing their indigenous religious and social beliefs (Kloosterman
2). Education and the early Anglo rule in the Southwest lasted from 1836 until 1890.
From 1836 to about 1850, formal education took place in schools that were founded
by the Catholic Church.

Proposition: Peter Singer suggests based on the article that it may be morally
right to pirate under certain circumstances. Evidence: One such circumstance is
that people can no longer purchase out certain print works, as presented within the

Authors will argue against Singer s argument that pirated books are not entirely
morally wrong because for many authors their work is not paying off. Many might
object and say that they are entirely wrong because it hurts them. Some authors lose
earnings when their books are pirated because that s all they have. Many do not
have other ways of earning money and if someone else is making money using
their work it s even worse for them. Such is the case with Kim Dotcom who was

argues that if legislation stopping piracy does not happen most creative people will

makes the assumption that if there were a cheap enough user fee, the incentive to use
pirated copies would diminish, be he has no actual way of knowing this. He only

The book A Night Divided, is a great book. It is about a girl named Gerta and her
family. She has an older brother Fritz, a brother Dominic, her father (papa) and her
mother Frau Lowe. The Berlin Wallhad just gone up after the Second World War
separating East and West Germany, and her and her family live in the West. One
night her brother Dominic and her father decide they need to get through the wall
for work without guards noticing because the consequences could be deadly. Her
brother and Father make it across but they cannot find a way to come back
because the wall has been added on and is even more dangerous now. Gerta ends
up not being able to talk to her father or brother for at least 4 years. One day Gerta
was walking to school with her best friend Anna when she see s her brother,
Dominic on the other side of the wall and waves. She eventually ended up seeing
her dad to but then she got caught by an officer by the name of Officer Muller. She
ended up getting away from the Officer but she knew he would be watching her
every move from now on. But everyday when she goes to school she see s them on
the platform and her dad is doing a dance that he always did for her as a kid when
they were little. But, he continues doing the digging scene from the dance trying to
give her a signal that he wants her to do something or he is going to do something.
But if Gerta tries to cross that wall it could be deadly and we don t know what would
happen.
The three main characters of the book are Gerta, her brother Fritz, and Anna which
is Gerta s best friend. Gerta is the main character and she is very determined, brave
and loves her family very much and wants them all together again. Fritz is Gerta s
older brother who has her back and is with her for everything. He is a hard working
man and will have to go and be a soldier if they do not make it to the other side of
the wall in time. Anna is Gerta s best friend and they always are there for each
other. When one day Anna s older brother Peter tried to escape and Gerta knew that

Even if we don t agree that humans evolved from another, now extinct species, we
can agree that the habits of humanity have definitely evolved. Along with these
advancements in the habits and daily lives of humanity, the technologies that were
