This technical white paper discusses how the BMC Remedy Action Request System (AR System) can scale within large enterprise environments. It describes the AR System's architecture which includes four tiers: client, mid, server, and data. It then provides seven scenarios for how the system can be scaled by adding additional hardware resources across the different tiers, such as adding more mid-tier servers, hosting multiple AR servers on one machine, or separating the database onto its own physical server. The goal is to create a solution that can scale to meet the needs of even the largest global enterprises.
